I love how this hotel is connected to the Bellevue Collection. Sorta. If you can find the way to the skybridge. Which is apparently kept secret.

Seriously, I really like this hotel. Opened in the last few years and pretty modern. The reception staff seem to know enough about the local area. Its not hard to find something to do in this complex, since there is a movie theater and plenty of food. Not to mention the shopping.

Modern Westin. Nothing short of what you expect of the brand. Not anything spectacular, though.

Must say this is one of the finest Westin I have been. there entrance is no less than any grand hotel and ambiance is excellent. The room offered an unobstructed city view which I really didn't get to enjoy due to my brief stay. The rooms are bigger than average Westin
this Westin is definitely at Par with W Hotels.
Will stay here every opportunity i get :)

Sure it is a newer Westin property, but this is one of the nicer Westin's that I've stayed at.

Service is top notch. I got there late, and I was tired, so it was nice to get an upgrade.

The room's are nicely sized with the usual Westin goodies, like  flat screen (32") TV, dual head shower, that super Heavenly Bed - so, so super. Didn't care to pay $13/day for Internet - if you go with a group just make sure you take a router and share that one wireless connection.

Regular guests with cars will also have to pay $25/day for parking (supposedly).

I didn't eat at the hotel - and you don't need to. There are so many places to eat at around the hotel. I do like that the Safeway a block away is open till 1 a.m.

I also am a big fan of the big Starbucks across the street - one of the larger ones I've been in.

But hey this is about the hotel - and for a paltry 10,000 Starwood points I was able to stay a night. And as an aside the Starwood points program is HANDS down the best one in the industry with the best properties for you to redeem them at.

They say you get what you pay for -- this hotel fits within that rule.  Great service.  The maids are super nice and they even speak a little English (wow).  The room service is pretty good -- not bad pizza.  The views are awesome: 270 degree view from Newport Hills to Lake Washington to downtown Seattle to Kirkland.

I have stayed here probably 20x in the last 3 years, and every visit is pretty darn fantastic.

The rooms are gorgeous, and if you're Starwood Gold/Platinum (I finally stayed enough nights to get Platinum a few years back) they almost always upgrade your room.  Make sure they are really giving you the BEST available room, though, as some are better than others about doing so.  That said, the service in this hotel is fantastic and it is hands-down the cleanest and best-maintained Westin I stay at (and I stay at a lot of them every year).

Huge negative is the ridiculous $25/day for parking.  This is BELLEUVE, not San Francisco.  Don't let them give you a parking pass - pay your own parking as you go as the garage rate is only $16/24 hours.  Why they need to mark it up to $25 is beyond me, but it's a waste of money.

I miss the Manzana restaurant they used to have downstairs, but Palomino is nice if not too expensive, and there are myriad dining choices within walking distance either at Bellevue Square or elsewhere in downtown Bellevue.

This is a top notch hotel in every sense.  The staff is very friendly and professional, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable.  They have a nice indoor pool with a great gym next to it.  The hotel is also nicely located to many shops and restaurants.  This is one of the best Westins we've stayed at and look forward to returning.

For our mother-daughter weekend, we decided to stay at the Westin in Bellevue instead of Seattle because of the recent I-5 roadwork. We got the shopping package which included $100 coupon redeemable at the mall across the hotel.

Checking in was easy. I did throw a fit when I realized that the parking was $28 instead of $18 (okay, I just checked the reviews and that was in 2007). I just find that parking fees are ridiculous ($38 for the Seattle Westin!). There is free parking across in the mall on the weekends but I don't know about overnight parking.

I was ultra grumpy (probably bitchy from the receiving end) and the manager upgraded my room and charged me $18 instead. Meanwhile, my mom avoided all this by checking out the 2 large water tanks filled with fruit. She liked the taste of the water and when I wanted to try it the next day, the 2 tanks had been removed.

I liked it that it was more secure than the Seattle Westin in that there was a guard by the elevator and you needed a key to access the floors.

The room was fine - same heavenly beds, dual head showers, Starbucks coffee...nice view...large flat screen TV which needed to be re-programmed as the remote didn't work (the hotel engineer was quick to come and fix that).

The pool area was much bigger and cleaner. The Seattle one had some yellow foam in the corner of the whirlpool and the pool was more like a square. Unfortunately, there were about 20 kids when I was trying to swim laps and it was more like dodging kids.

I noticed that the gym was pretty well equipped and the spa also looked nice.

For the shoppers:
There is a skywalk that connects the hotel to the mall! Plenty of restaurants, movies and shopping. It's also only about 10 minutes to the Bellevue Nordstrom's Rack and Loehmann's. It was great just to park the car and walk around without getting rained on.

In the end, I don't know if I would stay here again over the Seattle Westin. Granted, it's newer than the Seattle Westin but staying across from a mall isn't that attractive for a vacation unless you're just there to shop. I enjoy walking around the Pike Market and checking out the restaurants by the waterfront. Well, it's only a 15-20 min drive to downtown Seattle.

Location is great. Right across the street from Bellevue Square and within a block from amazing restaurants and movie theater.

Room was nicely furnished with very comfy beds. Bathtub didn't clog up which happens way too often even at 5 star hotels.

I don't think they had a restaurant and I didn't order any food, so I can't comment on that. But there are so many restaurants within a block.

View was amazing. Make sure you ask to see Lake Washington and Mt Rainier, I believe you would need to be on the South side of the hotel. Get the upper floors as well, goes up to 19 floors.

Price is very decent considering the location and great service.

I basically lived here for 11 months.  Great location (I walked across the sky bridge to work) and many, many entertainment and food choices close by.  The service was fantastic.  It only took a couple of stays for the staff to remember my name and when I brought my family out, they were extremely accommodating.

Botched my reservation and ran out of rooms with king beds.  Gave me a nicer view as a result.  Front desk was REALLY slow.  Their restaurant staff were nice but rushed me a bit even though the place was empty, and they didn't really seem to have a solid understanding of what I wanted.

Oh, well.

However, you do get the perks of staying at a Westin, like the very comfortable beds and the nice shower head.

Oh how I love the Westin!  For their amazing beds!  If you haven't ever stayed at a Westin - YOU NEED TO (For the bed alone).  When we have the money I am definitely investing in a Heavenly Bed.  I am dreaming of my stay and I just remember falling asleep in the same position I woke up.  I don't think I have had a good night sleep like that in awhile.

Anyhow, they do have a great restaurant to eat at, and the customer service is always great.... If you just want a getaway for a night or two.  Go to The Westin -- you will feel refreshed Guaranteed.....

Recently stayed for a quick little get away/anniversary trip. We've stayed at the W in Seattle but thought we'd check this place out since it was new and so conveniently located to many food and entertainment options (sky bridge to Bellevue Square).

I am a gold member and did mention it was our anniversary just in hopes of getting the best room possible. The very kind lady (Ruby) put us up on the 18th floor (out of 19 for guests - condo above that) with a south facing view. From other reviews I knew that was the right side to be on.

I had asked for some flowers to be in the room (put in the notes section while making the reservation online) and they were forgotten I guess. I slyly made an inquiry while checking in and Ruby said she'd take care of it. Once we came back to the room after getting a bite to eat the had a dozen awesome red roses waiting for us so that was great.

We were both pretty tired the first night and decided to just hang out in the room. At about 730 they knocked and Ruby had sent up a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and a card. Totally awesome.

I don't want to drag this out too much but want to share this. They totally blew our breakfast order one of the mornings which definitely irked me since we always have them read back what we've ordered so this doesn't happen. Well, short story is after three trips they finally got it and about 20 minutes after that the manager of guest services calls waaaaay apologetic and said breakfast was on them. Now that's the way to take care of customers!! The next morning, breakfast was flawless.

We'll be coming back for sure.

****Review of catering services only.
Knut (yes, Knut) was our server here at Vino tonight for a private event. Knut was the BOMB. He was a cute younger guy that helped me with glasses, plates etc while hosting a big old event. In addition to Knut, the food was amaaaaaaaazing. Some of the best "finger food" this girl has allowed across her lips. We got the leftovers too. Delish!

This is my first review on yelp.. here we go. I'm a huge fan of most Starwood Hotels and this one was no exception. The lobby is much smaller than most but they still had amazing fresh floral arrangements and 2 choices of water to offer: one was an infused citrus and the other watermelon.. both cool and refreshing for the hot day that welcomed us to town.

The rooms were typical with the dream bed and dual shower head. One disappointment was they didn't use Aveda bathroom products (nor Bliss). My friends and I ordered room service for breakfast which was just OK.. of course many egg white omelette's aren't that satisfying in the first place.

Upon checkout our friend asked for a diet coke and they said they had to charge her the ridiculous price which was like.. $5 or $7 can't remember which.. but then told her to hold on while he left momentarily and came back with a can, told her it was on him since the price was just.. well.. ridiculous. Great service if you ask me! I would definitely stay here again!

Westin as a brand is all business, unpretentious, and pratical.

From Heavenly Beds to a swimming lap pool and rooms that have balconies (SPG Platinum / Gold Members - Ask!), this Westin Bellevue also has amazing views of Mt. Rainier (ask for the South-facing windows).

Roselyn and Anya are two of the best people at check-in.  Before I became a Starwoods Preferred Guest with high status, both were entirely accommodating and assisted me in additional requests (newspapers, water in the rooms, parking, breakfast, etc.).

Get to know the people who check you in, and they will treat you well.

If only they had a Club Floor, this would be a six-star hotel.

We stayed here this past weekend to test out the beds. A friend of mine recently bought a bed from the Westin, and she loves it.

It was very nice to stay in the city for an evening. We went to the Manzana Grill and had a wonderful dinner. We also wandered around Bell-Square, where I rarely go (too many people).

The bed was comfortable, and the room was very nice and good sized. We had a great view of the city and all the construction that is going on. They had a flat panel tv and reclining couch in the room. The hallways have mirrors facing each other which is entertaining when you walk by them - several of you at once, that is!

Having stayed at this Westin at least 30 nights this year, it's my favorite city-based Westin. Can't call it my favorite yet. Perhaps if they would remember me when I check in nearly every other week, I would feel more at home-away from home.

Major plus points for the  amazing gym. The treadmills offer built in TV screens and they have a box full of headphones for your disposal. Also make sure you bring your swim suit as the lap sized pool offers an amazing view of Lake Washington area.

Great hotel, great service.  It's a brand-new hotel, and it feels like it.  It's got all of the Westin amenities: great shower, uber-comfortable bed, flat-screen television.  The rooms are big and well-appointed.  The upper-floor rooms have great views on all sides.

If you get the Grand Deluxe room, it has the single most awesome bathroom in any hotel room in the whole state.  It's got a separate shower and a fantastic spa bathtub.  I've got elite status in their rewards program, which gives me free upgrades when available, and I've got to tell you that I always hope for this room as the upgrade.  When I do get it, I drop off my bags, and then I immediately run across the road to Lush in the mall to get bath bombs.

I'm sure that their housekeepers hate me because of the number of glittery post-Lush-bath-bomb messes I've left in these bathtubs, but they haven't barred me from the hotel yet.  The valets know me by name, and they know more about my rental car preferences than the guys at Avis do.  The desk staff recognise me on sight too.  (Of course, the TSA agents at my home airport do too.)

Room service here is surprisingly good.  Anyone who travels frequently can probably quote the vast majority of any hotel's room service menu.  There's a club sandwich, a caesar salad, some kind of pasta, roasted chicken, and a steak or two.  The Westin Bellevue's room service menu has those staples (I'm sure that there's some law of the universe that puts those items on the menu regardless of whether the hotel intended for them to be there), plus a varied selection of other items that are quite tasty.  Even their room service wine list doesn't suck, which is a major feat itself.

I try to schedule my trips here to include one evening of non-work time (ha!) to allow myself an evening of room service, a long luxurious bath, and then a deep sleep.  It's a great respite from the rigors of being on the road so often.

I've stayed at the Westin Bellevue 3-4 times since it opened. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful and has always offered a room upgrade. This weekend I was celebrating and they offered a gorgeous corner room with a view of the surrounding hills. The maids always organize the bathroom in spite of my leaving things strewn everywhere.

I love the HUGE plasmas in the rooms. Reminds me of the W in so many ways. The tv is just the start, the use of dark wood and the uber-comfy bed finish it out.

The Westin in Bellevue is one of the nicest hotels around.  Based purely on quality of the room and niceness of the hotel I would give it 5 stars.  However, the Westin does not offer free internet like the Hyatt (which just refunds the charges at checkout), nor does it offer free parking like the Hyatt.  Self-parking is $16/night and valet is $18.

The service is spectacular, everyone is friendly and nice.  The housekeeping kept the room in tip top shape.  The bed was very comfortable, the TV was big, and the views are amazing.

However, if you want free internet and don't want to pay for parking, the Hyatt is a comparable hotel.  I will continue to use the Westin because I'm a Preferred Guest and the Hyatt program isn't that great.

beautiful view from the condos up on the 21st floor. that's where my sister in law is staying. NICE!!!  the condo receives the same services as the hotel rooms. there are "maids" who come and clean up the condo. there are bell hops if necessary. room service is always available and there are tons of perks, aside from mail service and free parking. anyways, i'll try to post some pictures. i loved staying here. not to mention, the spa and pool are awesome. the workout facilities are great too. promise, I will update with pix soon.

the demand, and general cost of bellevue, makes this westin twice as expensive as the one in downtown seattle. it is... maybe only 10% nicer, mostly because it (like everything in bellevue) is very new.
i would put in on par with the hyatt down the street, which is a much better value.

otherwise, i like the hotel, and it is convenient to east lake work locations.

a very nice westin, but not a great value.

Stayed at the Westin on a return trip back to visit a friend who was getting married.  The hotel is very nice with all the ameneties you would expect from a Westin (nice bed, nice bath, friendly and helpful staff).  The views on the upper floors are great in pretty much every direction.  The hotel is located adjacent to Bellevue Square mall which is convenient for people who don't know the area and need to eat or get random travel needs.  Definitely would go back on a visit.

I have stayed at this hotel more times than I can count over the last 6 months. I think it is a fantastic hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive, they remembered my name after the second week. For people traveling on business every week... you couldn't ask for much more. Lots of restaurants near the hotel and the hotel bar is nice, open late, and serves good food.

Most impressive is room service. I hands down hate most room service, but I would actually look forward to their roasted chicken. Rooms are very nice, great beds, great bathrooms, HDTVs... but no HD connection. Fantastic views of Lake Washington and Bellevue from the upper floors. Decent gym and very nice pool.

That said this hotel is very pricey. If not for business travel I don't know that I would stay here on a regular basis. But if you are looking to get away for a nice stay, I definitely recommend it.

I'm trapped for 9 nights in a rainy mega mall. That's the Westin Bellevue. All the shopping in the world isn't going to let me forget that this is one fugly place to be. It's a decent way to counter the seasonal affective disorder every local is bound to have, but the Westin itself is lacking. The room is spacious and the bathroom is above average. I'm in a corner room wrapped in windows with a view of the town. Nice. Maybe I'm a freak though, because I don't find the heavenly bed to be all THAT heavenly. The heavenly shower head has all the makings of a fun time, if only there was actually some water pressure behind it. Instead of having direct phone lines to the various hotel services (in room dining, housekeeping, valet, etc.) they only have one line called "Service Express" which takes care of everything. I've been put on hold at least 75% of the times I've called. Housekeeping sucks.  I mean, come on, can sister get a washcloth or what? I had to call down to find my dry cleaning (instead of it waiting in my closet as it should have been). Valet took 15 minutes to bring my car around... 20 minutes if you include the 5 minute call-ahead to "Service Express".. which made me late for my meeting. I'm just not impressed. I'd save the money and hit the Hyatt right down the block instead.
