3 reviews for The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North
This hotel would get 3-stars were it not for the efforts of Prentis Vanduvall (travel sales mgr) and Leo (bartender extraordinaire).
We were bumped out of our "credit-card guaranteed" rooms for our first night, so when we checked in the next day, Prentis had written a nice letter of apology and included a generous fruit bowl. I was not able to eat all the fruit, so I consider it generous. Leo, our great bartender, gave us some dinner recommendations and, once we made our decision, called and secured reservations and set up transportation to the restaurant. Later that night, at the bar, he took care of us again.
The downside of my room was the A/C which would not cool the room below 70F! I ended up setting it at 60F to keep it running.
Other than that, the facilities are excellent, high quality materials throughout (except for the AC), and friendly Westin employees are all over the place greeting you in the morning.

This has to be one of the worst Westins I've ever stayed at. Stayed here 10 years ago and very little has changed. The rooms are incredibly small and poorly designed. No flat screen tv only and old grainy tube. The shower takes forever to heat up and the bath tubs dont drain well so you end up with a bathtub full of cold water and still no warm shower. The food is awful and way overpriced. The wifi has a very limited range so if youre in the restaurant and you try to use the "Restaurant Wifi" the signal is Extermely Low no matter where you sit. The rooms wired internet connection wouldnt support my companies secure tunnel connection. The tech support company they use didnt respond for hours and then when they did took 1.5hrs to help me resolve the tunnel issue. All I can say is avoid at all costs. I used to stay at the W right by the Perimeter Mall which is a much better hotel. This place is old outdated and needs to be shut down. I feel sorry for the engineers on staff trying to keep this place running. Normally I love Westins but this place is not deserving of the name.
Having just returned from Hotlanta, I decided to help the Atlanta yelpers out by adding a few reviews. I guess I am the first one to review this hotel because if you're not doing business say, next door, then there would be no reason to stay here (read - its far away from anything interesting in Atlanta). That said, the service was top notch and the pool was nice. One star off for the rotten food. I'd take another star off for the location, but that's not really the hotel's fault now, is it?
