I don't know if this overlook even has a name, so I dubbed it "the wedding tree" because I've seen weddings there.....out in the open air next to the ocean, under this graceful tree.
Today was the perfect day & perfect time of day to take a photo as I was passing by. Wouldn't ya know it, a guy was sitting under the tree reading a book. Should I have asked him to marry me? Was it an omen?
Nah, I just cut the top of his head out of the pic as best I could.
Who knows how many couples have been married under this tree.....
I've happened upon a few weddings here. One time they had long tables set up in a shady area with the big tiered wedding cake and other refreshments. Not only was the wedding taking place on top of the bluff overlooking the ocean, but the reception as well. (It was a windy day & I was holding my breath that the cake would not bite the dust...)
So I took 5 photos, and just as I was leaving a group of people arrived.....about 20 people walked out to the edge of the bluff. Not dressed for a wedding on this Tuesday afternoon, but my guess is that they were scoping out the place for a wedding planned in the near future. Maybe even this weekend.
I discovered a red rose bush not far from the wedding tree, imagine that. It was just blooming there on that tall bluff, see the photos. Red roses mean love, so it may have been planted as a remembrance of a wedding day past.
Love is all there is, I always say.
