BEST TASTING WATER EVERRRRRR!
My old roommate turned me on to this water. She would only drink water from the water lady and got me hooked on it too! So when I moved out I made sure that I opened up an account here! It tastes wonderful!!!! And compared to a lot of home water delivery companies its a lot cheaper. Sure, you dont get the convenience of it being delivered to your door, but going to the store is fast and easy.
The concept is cool. you prepay for your water, with however much you pay equaling a certain number of gallons. You get free gallons the more you prepay. They also give you free water for joining. They also give you free water for getting married, pregnant, out of the hospital and other things.
The store is light and airy, you kind of feel like you're outside. The service is always nice and friendly. You just grab your water and tell them your name and you're out the door!
If you havent at least tried this water, you have to the next time you're in North Park!Comment from Sonya S. of The Water Lady Water Stores 1/16/2012

WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE!!
Water Lady is great. You can fill up gallon jugs of water for 50 cents, and they have great deal on larger containers too. Or you can buy a card and the water comes out to be even cheaper!
The water is of superb quality, with no funny taste.
The women working here are always fun and friendly.
It sure beats paying over !4 per gallon!
This is a dog-friendly place too. There are dog bowls out for thirsty pups, and little dog treats too. -

I've been a patron at the Water Lady for over 10 years. I moved to East County 2 years ago and I still keep a pre-paid account at Sonya's store for those times when I'm in the area. Yes, the water is excellent, but it's the service that keeps us coming back.
Example: I went in yesterday to fill my four 5-gallon bottles and, because I had recently gotten married, paid nothing, and also had 25 gallons credited to my account.
Sonya, the owner, is usually only there on weekends, but she makes you feel like family. We love the Water Lady! -

I have been a customer for years, so needless to say I am a big fan. All positive things to say about the cleanliness of the store, the items sold, the properties of the water, and of course, customer service.

I used to not be a water snob. Bottled water was bottled water to me. Then I found this place and got hooked. This really is the best tasting water EVER!!!!! I now have a container at work and one in my home. I did some research and found a water place in North County ONLY because it's closer to work and I wouldn't have to lug my container back and forth. Well this place also had an 11 step process but tastes COMPLETELY different. I will happily lug my jugs (LOL) If you've never been they will fill your bottle for free on your first visit. There is simply nothing better than this place for water. The staff is REALLY knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. I'm always greeted with a smile.

We have been getting our water here for about 6 months, and we are very satisfied with the quality and taste of the water, as well as the convenience and ease of use. Very reasonable prices.

Our water crock-jug spigot had started leaking a week ago, and so began the adventure of finding a new spigot or crock-container (I don't know what they're called... crock pots?)
I was super excited when I found "the Water Lady" on Yelp- imagine a local store dedicated to water and water dispensing needs! The lady who helped us was very nice. We purchased a spigot and and we even picked up a wooden water stand since we had been using a cabinet top to support our crock-urn and 5 gallon water drum. Well, it turned out that circumference-wise the water stand was ever so slightly too small for our slightly too big crock so my hubbs went to either return or exchange the stand.
This is the moment when all the good feelings I had about this store vaporizes into the atmosphere. They refused to take the stand back. No refunds or exchanges. BOO! They said there were signs up, but we didn't notice them when the purchase was made, and the policy wasn't verbalized at the moment of purchase. Maybe we should have had our eyes peeled for the instructive sign(s), but alas we were distracted by the dazzling display of crocks and stands. "No refunds or exchanges" is a terrible business practice that garners very little good will to a customer that definitely would have bought additional water accessories from them in the future. Now I will have to continue my search for a store that sells water accessories and allows me to be a person that make mistakes. Le Sigh. -

This shop is down the street from my apt and I would much rather buy water here that a dispense outside of the hardware store near 31st street.
Plus they have all these water accessories and filters water carriers that I have never seen before. Check it out if you're tired of buying bottled water.
Dont drink tap !
Very nice workers by the way. -

It took me a year to hear about The Water Lady. I moved to the hood from OB and had used the water store there for years....and really missed it. I've had issues with the water from those un-named dispensing machines....algae growing in the bottles...despite my very methodical, OCD attention to my water storage, etc. So I'm happy to have a local place to fill up.
One fairly large shortcoming in my view is the store not having a method for cleaning out the bottles prior to refilling. That is soooooo important for keeping the water safe. Doing it at home is a total pain in the rear. For those prices, it seems like a reasonable expectation to have some proven system for bottle sterilization. The OB store has an ozone type bottle sterilization available that I really miss. So, if you read these reviews Water Lady.....c'mon......it doesn't matter how amazing the water you produce is if there isn't a way to make certain the bottles it goes into are extremely clean.
But that being said, I'm already a fan of the place. -

What a great little 'mom without the pop' business! Friendly service, kind folks and great, clean, pure water. Affordable too, once you get over the hump of your first water bottles and stand purchase.

This place is awesome, super friendly environment. The water tastes great and my favorite part about it are the carts they have for you to take the jugs out to your car. Usually when I go in I've got four bottles that come out to 18 gallons to fill and that can be hard to do when you go by yourself. Definitely try this place out and you'll never go back to those dispensers in front of the grocery stores!

My kids love going here cause the owner has a kids area. So going to the water store isn't a chore.
Everything is super clean, plenty of carts, towels, cleaners, big selection of water crocks, and bought a couple of glass water storage containers (they aren't cheap, but it means you won't have plastic in water).
Its a good place for your drinking water needs. -

I can't go back to this store since my first time when I came and she would not open the doors or acknowledge me and another person that were standing outside at 8:55 to buy water.
At 9:01, the door was still locked, she still had not even looked at us and I left, never to return.
If I want to be ignored, but buy water whenever I want, I will go to a metal dispenser and pay 25 cents a gallon.
Sorry, water lady, but I can't stand being ignored, especially when all there is to wait for is to spray water in a bottle.Comment from Sonya S. of The Water Lady Water Stores 1/7/2012

I own a hair salon across the street from this place. When I first opened up, my landlord gave them only a few months. But they have been there for a few years now. That place has people in and out constantly. I would sit on my porch just staring at that place.
I gave in and snooped around. Giant filters in the back and the water tastes good. It comes out to like 35-45 cents a gallon. WHAT! I'm no math major but thats like $1,000 cheaper than everything else out there.
I'm a member now. I don't mind drinking tap water but my wife wouldn't have that.
Good tasting water, damn cheap compared to your supermarket, and wife approved. Done deal. -

I have driven by many times, but never remembered to stop and see what was inside. As always, I Yelped the Water Lady to see what this place was all about (being too lazy to actually pull my car up to the curb and walk inside for five seconds). Had I found this place a month sooner, I would have never signed up with Sierra Springs. I don't live very far away, so it's pretty accessible, and yeah, you have to carry the water out to your car, but as mentioned, she has carts you can haul it out with. If you're too lazy for that, you're looking at a fabulous excuse to find yourself a big strong man (or woman - if that's more your style).
You can go in and taste the water to see how you like it. I love it. It has a great taste (it's almost still funny to me to talk about water in terms of taste, but there truly is a difference for this generation of bottled water drinkers). If you're still not convinced, The Water Lady lets you bring in a bottle from your current water provider, and she'll fill it for you for free to try out. It's delicious, just trust me.
The prices are much cheaper than the approximately eight bucks plus rental fee I was previously paying. People already mentioned the prices, but even without prepaying, it's only $2.25 for a five gallon bottle. We did have to buy the stand for $30 and the five gallon bottle was $19.95, but the bottle is cool - it has a spicket on the bottom, so you don't have to do that magic trick where you flip over five gallons of water and aim at a little hole without spilling it on the kitchen floor anymore - just get the cool bottle and be done with it. It sits right on the stand, no flipping involved.
Anyway, besides all that, this lady is super nice. She was helpful and accomodating, and I felt good giving her my business even if I have to go into the store once every couple weeks to refill the bottle. Will it kill me? Certainly not.
And it won't kill you either. Quit using those big companies that don't care about you, and go check out The Water Lady. It's also cool that you can see the water machine thingies in the back. I don't know what they do, but they look cool through the window. -

Water stores are uniquely Californian. In all of my travels, I have never seen a water store outside of our great state. Why does California corner the market on water stores and frozen yogurt? I don't know...ask Yoda. It's just one of life's great mysteries.
To have water that comes from the tap that smells and tastes the way it does here is also uniquely Californian. Hence the need for a store that sells water. And as far as stores that sell water go, this one at least has some character. Sonja is a bundle of energy and she will educate you on the ins and outs of high-quality H20. She is also a big proponent of supporting local businesses.
I dig that about this place. It isn't corporate water with a green and white logo. There is no board of directors making decisions about the bottom line. It's just a woman who loves her business and loves to talk to people.
Check it out for yourself. Sonja will give you five gallon of water for free and more if you refer people. If you sign up for the pre-paid plan, you also get gallons and gallons of free water. What more could you ask? -

I have lived in North Park for years and didn't know about this place. I had been spending so much money on good sources of water until a coworker told me about this place. She said the water tastes great and its inexpensive. Let me preface this and say that I am definitely a water snob. I can taste the difference between brands. So I went into this place thinking that if the water tastes good AND I can save some money, I'm in. Turns out the water DOES taste great. You can go right in and sample some yourself.
I recommend checking out their website and learn about the filtration process. They also have a lot of free info on water. Trust me, there is a lot more to water than you thought. There is also info on the process they use for the water. You can also read about the different products they carry inside the store. Definitely look into magnesium oil, transderma prills, and fulvic mineral complex.
You will undoubtedly save money on your water if you fill up your water here. Buy a crock pot and a five gallon jug or two and refill yourself. They have different plans. The more money you put on your account, the cheaper each gallon is. Great business. -

I don't really expect much from a water store except good water and decent prices. I think $0.45 per gallon is a little expensive. That is $2.25 for each five gallon container. If you prepay it goes down to $0.40 per gallon. Not bad. Not good either.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I do wish they had a machine to clean the bottles and street parking is not ideal but I have never really had a problem finding a spot. As far as the water goes, it always taste great and since they have 9 different faucets there is rarely a wait . -

I LOVE THE WATER LADY! This place was suggested to us when we first moved to San Diego after the water in our apartment had a weird taste going on. Since then, we have never looked back.
The Water Lady offers large bottles that you can purchase- and once you are ready to commit it is well worth it. We have 2 3 gallon bottles that we keep in our fridge that has a little spout thing, and works great.
Its true-- the more you buy the more you get for free. I forget exactly how it works out but I throw down $50 at a time and it seems to last forever- which is good.
The owner is very nice- and goes out of her way to try to remember everyones name which I find impressive.
If you live in the North Park/Hillcrest area- make the Water Lady a stop! -

A short drive from my house but well worth it. Buying water from here sure beats having to get water from the grocery store or from the skanky corner dispenser.
Parking can sometimes be a bitch but well worth it ... -

In a nutshell: Tasty! For those of us who prefer their water in ways vocalists would refer to as "a capella", this is the place to go - it simply tastes great.
This is the store to schlepp your bottles to. I am mesmerized, without fail, by the process the water undergoes before it bubbles into my bottle. I do not understand how the process works, but the end result is refreshing and tasteful.
The somewhat over-sized store features a plethora of jugs, bottles, and accessories at reasonable prices; it is a no nonsense approach that speaks water business only. Consider your pets when you pump your water as this store caters to their needs as well. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and easy going in a comforting good-neighbor way.
Pricing is very reasonable and borders on the inexpensive. Give it a sip - once you try it, you will never go elsewhere. -

Who says water doesn't have a taste? Uhh helloooo, yes it does! Out of all the crap taken out and put into water these days who's to know.... well, the Water Lady does for sure!
I absolutely LOVE the water here!! I have friends come over for water now.....(you know who you are;p). but who could resist! I used to buy cases, and I mean cases(!) of the Fiji water..pft! Fiji can keep their freakin' so-called "fresh" water, I'm stickin' to the Water Lady thank you very much!
Her place is so cute too! It's decorated Hawaiian style, very inviting! She has a chart too detailing the process and whats taken out of the water, so your sure you know what your getting, or should I say NOT getting;). Bottom line, it's great water, great staff, great price. What more could you want people...c'mon! just go, try some! it's FREE to try your first time...and no not a little dixie cup....a whole 10 gallon sample(just bring your jug, or you can buy one there)!! who does that these days? The Water Lady does silly!! Get your butt down there...you know you wanna....:)
P.S. I'd like to thank Mr. Scribner for letting me know about this place! I used to go all the way to Spring Valley to get water, and I live in North Park!! I had no idea there was such a great place nearby....so kudos to him:) -

The h2o here is very tasty. The staff is nice and the owner is always friendly. For about $50 we get enough water for three people that lasts about 5 months or so. I can be wrong about how long, but all I know is that I only pay a couple times a year and its worth every nickel. This is especially true when we run out and we have to drink that nasty-azz tap water, or pay $$$ for bottled. Reverse osmosis is the shiz.

Great people and a great place to water up!
Think about this....even if you now get your water for $1/gallon and drink only 8cups/day, in a month that's $8 saved. To me this is the best water in SD and it's sooooo affordable! -

This place rocks! They have the best and cheapest filtered water in San Diego. I promise. You can BYB or buy empty bottles there. They give you discounts too! 1st time customers get free water. If you buy an empty bottle from them, they will fill it up with water for free even if you're a long term customer. If a friend refers you, tell them your friends full name & they will get free water the next time they come in. If you prepay you get a discount on each gallon. No other water place does all of this. The staff is so sweet. They are very kid friendly. My 8 year old loves to go here. Just go in and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

Despite the fact that this location is unpractical to access, which when you're dragging your gallons of water might have you consider bringing a mule with you on your next trip, the highly energetic owner is very accommodating and gave me a gallon of free water to take home with me, just to try. The facility is clean and counts many faucets so that clients don't have fist fights over water drainage! Definitely one of your cheapest water supply solution.

Excellent little store. Superb customer service, and very friendly staff. Came in to check out a shower filter, and they gave me a free gallon of water to try. Now I am a water snob, as anyone will tell you. I can't stand Arrowhead, Desani and Aquafina are barely pallatable, and forget the rest. I used to get my water at Henry's. Now I am saving more than 50% in costs with The Water Lady. Easy access, just pull up to the curb, grab a cart, and go fill up your containers. There are about 7 to 10 stations, so there is always an open faucet to fill 'er up. Also received 10 free gallons as a new customer on the prepaid plan. I highly recommend you go there and see for yourself that this place is quite unique. They will be happy to explain to you all of the ways they filter and protect the water to get the cleanest water in town.

I knew my tap water was going to be a problem when even the cats refused to drink it. I think it's the old pipes in my building or something. The Water Lady's water is delicious and not too expensive. I'd much rather go there than buy a zillion 1 liter bottles from Costco. When you pre-pay they give you a deal by adding some free gallons to your account.

Although I have no problem with the quality of the water I purchased, I could not be less impressed with the service. The woman working there could not be bothered to explain how the system works with setting up an account. I told her it was my first time to the store and asked for some direction on different containers, purifying options, etc. but she seemed far more concerned about keeping her daughter entertained in the store. I won't be back.
