I have lived in North Park for years and didn't know about this place. I had been spending so much money on good sources of water until a coworker told me about this place. She said the water tastes great and its inexpensive. Let me preface this and say that I am definitely a water snob. I can taste the difference between brands. So I went into this place thinking that if the water tastes good AND I can save some money, I'm in. Turns out the water DOES taste great. You can go right in and sample some yourself.

I recommend checking out their website and learn about the filtration process. They also have a lot of free info on water. Trust me, there is a lot more to water than you thought. There is also info on the process they use for the water. You can also read about the different products they carry inside the store. Definitely look into magnesium oil, transderma prills, and fulvic mineral complex.

You will undoubtedly save money on your water if you fill up your water here. Buy a crock pot and a five gallon jug or two and refill yourself. They have different plans. The more money you put on your account, the cheaper each gallon is. Great business.

Excellent little store.  Superb customer service, and very friendly staff.  Came in to check out a shower filter, and they gave me a free gallon of water to try.  Now I am a water snob, as anyone will tell you. I can't stand Arrowhead, Desani and Aquafina are barely pallatable, and forget the rest.  I used to get my water at Henry's. Now I am saving more than 50% in costs with The Water Lady.  Easy access, just pull up to the curb, grab a cart, and go fill up your containers.  There are about 7 to 10 stations, so there is always an open faucet to fill 'er up.  Also received 10 free gallons as a new customer on the prepaid plan. I highly recommend you go there and see for yourself that this place is quite unique.  They will be happy to explain to you all of the ways they filter and protect the water to get the cleanest water in town.

Who says water doesn't have a taste? Uhh helloooo, yes it does! Out of all the crap taken out and put into water these days who's to know.... well, the Water Lady does for sure!

I absolutely LOVE the water here!! I have friends come over for water now.....(you know who you are;p). but who could resist! I used to buy cases, and I mean cases(!) of the Fiji water..pft! Fiji can keep their freakin' so-called "fresh" water, I'm stickin' to the Water Lady thank you very much!

Her place is so cute too! It's decorated Hawaiian style, very inviting! She has a chart too detailing the process and whats taken out of the water, so your sure you know what your getting, or should I say NOT getting;). Bottom line, it's great water, great staff, great price. What more could you want people...c'mon! just go, try some! it's FREE to try your first time...and no not a little dixie cup....a whole 10 gallon sample(just bring your jug, or you can buy one there)!! who does that these days? The Water Lady does silly!! Get your butt down there...you know you wanna....:)

P.S. I'd like to thank Mr. Scribner for letting me know about this place! I used to go all the way to Spring Valley to get water, and I live in North Park!! I had no idea there was such a great place nearby....so kudos to him:)

Water stores are uniquely Californian.  In all of my travels, I have never seen a water store outside of our great state.  Why does California corner the market on water stores and frozen yogurt?  I don't know...ask Yoda.  It's just one of life's great mysteries.

To have water that comes from the tap that smells and tastes the way it does here is also uniquely Californian.  Hence the need for a store that sells water.  And as far as stores that sell water go, this one at least has some character.  Sonja is a bundle of energy and she will educate you on the ins and outs of high-quality H20.  She is also a big proponent of supporting local businesses.

I dig that about this place.  It isn't corporate water with a green and white logo.  There is no board of directors making decisions about the bottom line.  It's just a woman who loves her business and loves to talk to people.

Check it out for yourself.  Sonja will give you five gallon of water for free and more if you refer people.  If you sign up for the pre-paid plan, you also get gallons and gallons of free water.  What more could you ask?

A short drive from my house but well worth it. Buying water from here sure beats having to get water from the grocery store or from the skanky corner dispenser.

Parking can sometimes be a bitch but well worth it ...

I own a hair salon across the street from this place. When I first opened up, my landlord gave them only a few months. But they have been there for a few years now. That place has people in and out constantly. I would sit on my porch just staring at that place.

I gave in and snooped around. Giant filters in the back and the water tastes good. It comes out to like 35-45 cents a gallon. WHAT! I'm no math major but thats like $1,000 cheaper than everything else out there.

I'm a member now. I don't mind drinking tap water but my wife wouldn't have that.

Good tasting water, damn cheap compared to your supermarket, and  wife approved. Done deal.

I have driven by many times, but never remembered to stop and see what was inside.  As always, I Yelped the Water Lady to see what this place was all about (being too lazy to actually pull my car up to the curb and walk inside for five seconds).  Had I found this place a month sooner, I would have never signed up with Sierra Springs.  I don't live very far away, so it's pretty accessible, and yeah, you have to carry the water out to your car, but as mentioned, she has carts you can haul it out with.  If you're too lazy for that, you're looking at a fabulous excuse to find yourself a big strong man (or woman - if that's more your style).

You can go in and taste the water to see how you like it.  I love it.  It has a great taste (it's almost still funny to me to talk about water in terms of taste, but there truly is a difference for this generation of bottled water drinkers).   If you're still not convinced, The Water Lady lets you bring in a bottle from your current water provider, and she'll fill it for you for free to try out.  It's delicious, just trust me.

The prices are much cheaper than the approximately eight bucks plus rental fee I was previously paying.  People already mentioned the prices, but even without prepaying, it's only $2.25 for a five gallon bottle.  We did have to buy the stand  for $30 and the five gallon bottle was $19.95, but the bottle is cool - it has a spicket on the bottom, so you don't have to do that magic trick where you flip over five gallons of water and aim at a little hole without spilling it on the kitchen floor anymore - just get the cool bottle and be done with it.  It sits right on the stand, no flipping involved.

Anyway, besides all that, this lady is super nice. She was helpful and accomodating, and I felt good giving her my business even if I have to go into the store once every couple weeks to refill the bottle.  Will it kill me?  Certainly not.

And it won't kill you either.  Quit using those big companies that don't care about you, and go check out The Water Lady.  It's also cool that you can see the water machine thingies in the back.  I don't know what they do, but they look cool through the window.

Dear Sonja & The Water Lady Staff:
I wanted to tell you also how awesome you are for supporting other local small businesses; the last 2 years you have donated water to support Presher Coffee Travelers Mugg in it's efforts to supply coffee and espresso drinks to all the volunteers at the City of San Diego's PROJECT CLEAN & PROJECT FACELIFT.  These two projects help keep clean inner city Canyons and Parks, along with cleaning up and repairing homes in inner city neighborhoods.

I LOVE THE WATER LADY! This place was suggested to us when we first moved to San Diego after the water in our apartment  had a weird taste going on. Since then, we have never looked back.

The Water Lady offers large bottles that you can purchase- and once you are ready to commit it is well worth it. We have 2 3 gallon bottles that we keep in our fridge that has a little spout thing, and works great.

Its true-- the more you buy the more you get for free. I forget exactly how it works out but I throw down $50 at a time and it seems to last forever- which is good.

The owner is very nice- and goes out of her way to try to remember everyones name which I find impressive.

If you live in the North  Park/Hillcrest area- make the Water Lady a stop!

We've been customers since the shop was located in the Uptown Center in Hillcrest.  What can I say?  Fabulous people, play area for the kiddos if you need to bring them (or you if you're craving the fisher price little people dollhouse experience), numerous water dispensing crocks/pumps/bottles.  She even indulges my little guy by letting him feed the fish now and then.  Love the Water Lady!

Despite the fact that this location is unpractical to access, which when you're dragging your gallons of water might have you consider bringing a mule with you on your next trip, the highly energetic owner is very accommodating and gave me a gallon of free water to take home with me, just to try.  The facility is clean and counts many faucets so that clients don't have fist fights over water drainage!  Definitely one of your cheapest water supply solution.

I knew my tap water was going to be a problem when even the cats refused to drink it. I think it's the old pipes in my building or something. The Water Lady's water is delicious and not too expensive. I'd much rather go there than buy a zillion 1 liter bottles from Costco. When you pre-pay they give you a deal by adding some free gallons to your account.

goofy but fun hawaiian theme, with pictures of the water lady on blissful beaches and gads of bright colors and gaudy trinkets. cut the crap though and the water lady really delivers. you can purchase many different sizes of bottles, stands, coverings, and you name it other accessories. very reasonably priced water for the quality you receive, reverse osmosis and everything. the owner is very chatty too which I find fun. and while the location is a bit inconvenient for parking, she provides many carts you may borrow to schlep your jugs to your car.

Tap water, not matter what people say, is safe to drink.  That being said, I find Aquafina and the Water Lady's water to taste the best.  Bottled water gets expensive (even if you go to costco and buy the 2 x 2.5 gallon arrowhead for $5 and change that is still about a dollar a gallon.) the water lady is not (as stated before is 40-45 cents a gallon depending on whether you pre-pay or not - the more you prepay the more free gallons you get.)  With the amount of water I drink I would have to start donating plasma to afford aquafina.   And because of this, I would have to drink even more water... I can only imagine what would be the result of that vicious cycle.  Also, by bringing back the same container(s) you reduce your impact on landfills.  Another bonus is that if you purchase a small bottle (I believe it's a half or quarter gallon) you can refill it for free.  This works out great for me as I usually like to wheel around town on my bike, so I'll just stop in and fill up.  This place gets 5 stars - 2 stars (now that I'm busy, being out of the way is a real drag.  On the other hand, if you live nearby I say go for it.) for being out of the way + 1 star for the owners contagious enthusiasm for water (Think the female version of Adam Sandlers "The Water Boy" ) = 4 stars.
