10 reviews for The Warren Store
The Warren Store is a hidden local spot that offers quaint country charm and some cool items. This cool market of sorts in located in the small town of Warren, about 2 miles from Sugarbush where I sometimes go skiing.
The store is a mix mash of different thngs. It is a country market that offers fresh cheese, wine, hot sauces, candy from the 50's, dipping sauces, hip trendy items like pesto crackers or flax seed crisps... There is also a deli with awesome sandwiches, salads, pasteries etc.
Then there are sections upstairs selling locally made crafts- dishes, jewelry, clothing and a cute toy section. It's fun to look around if nothing else!
I reccomend the breakfast sandwich on your way to the slopes. You can even have a hot cup of cider instead of coffee!

This may be my favorite place in Vermont. This little store has consistently great quality food, and hosts the best 4th of July celebration on the planet... despite the rain. The little porch out behind the store overlooks a tiny waterfall, and is absolute heaven. It's physically impossible to be in a bad mood here.

What more could you ask for--a country store in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains, complete with all kinds of gifts and souvenirs, a cafe on the first floor, and an outdoor deck overlooking a river. The tiny village of Warren doesn't have a whole lot going on, but it's really scenic and the Warren Store definitely makes it worth a visit.

Love this place...quintessential Vermont country store, with a great selection of local products and beers (try the Lawson's IPA!). It's a great place to stop on your way out of town to stock up on delicious sandwiches, baked goods and snacks for the road.

I think my turkey & cheddar sandwich may have been the best sandwich ever...but that was because I was starving after skiing all day. It was a pretty good sandwich but the main draw is the Vermont-y vibe this place on Main St has. A couple tables inside for sandwich & maple walnut pastry tart consumption...cute country store atmosphere with jams, baked goods, deli and other snacks.
I love this place. We go every time we are in the area. The store is tiny, and sits right in the middle of picturesque Warren, VT. The Pitcher Inn, a luxury Relais & Chateaux property is directly across the road. There is a little stream that runs across the back of the store. It takes you back in time when general stores where plentiful. The staff is nice, and it's a great place to visit.
We love the deli & bakery. They have wonderful sandwiches. You have to get something with cheddar because it's so tasty! Try their cookies, the maple walnut is my favorite.
You have to drop by if you are in the area. How often do you find old time general stores like this anymore?

The Warren Store is another gem known to the locals and to some passing tourists. It's nestled between deep woods and a waterfall on a little highway in Vermont. The deli is fully stocked, the vintage soda coolers are great atmosphere but also functional, and the wine selection is better than I would have expected for a cutesy vermonty roadside deli.
In the summer, sit on the porch, get a snack, and enjoy the scenery.

I like going to this country store in Warren Vermont. Very cute and has the basics. A warm place to browse around & see what they have, sit for a sandwich, soup, coffee, or cider especially on cold days. Not very "diverse" in selection -compared to SF but then again, it is Vermont but they're getting there. The staff is alright perhaps more engaged if they actually know you- but since I'm just a typical tourist- the need for me to look around is a priority. The second floor section has clothing, jewelry, etc. kinda pricey but good quaiity and supports the local artisans.
The Warren store is terrific. They have a tiny sandwich deli with a limited but tasty selection. Sandwiches are great and bakery is awesome. Very fresh and interesting selections. The rest of the store has "specialty" products that one might find in many country stores of VT, just a bit better. I lived in the area for a few years and I was surprised that half the staff warmed up to me and the other didn't. Bakery/deli were real friendly and got to know me as a customer but the few who worked the register (owners I believe) always looked at me as if I was a hoodlum. I don't know why. Maybe it was because I was excited to go there and get fresh pastries once a week and all too gladly pay there just almost too high price. Whatever. I don't care if they don't want to say hello when all I wanted to do was sink my teeth into one of my favorite buttery, slightly crispy, warm chocolate croissants? There are some really cool water/geological features just behind this place. Check those out if you are ever here.

Fantastic sandwiches and baked goods. They made me a peach blackberry cobbler pie for my birthday and it was DIVINE! I'll always remember how friendly they were in customizing my dessert and the scrumptious aroma when I picked it up. Thank you!
