The lines at Warfield get pretty long , because of how much capacity it can take , however they seem to have 3 to 4 lines going once you arrive closer to checking your tickets in . The surrounding area outside smells pretty bad and sf has a lot of homeless Around here , I felt pretty safe as they seemed to keep their distance , plus security walks around which was a plus for me ! Once we checked in we noticed they had a coat check in by the restrooms , we were only charged 5$ which in my opinion is a deal .
The levels downstairs level can get really crowded quickly and your shoulder to shoulder , if you don't like being shoulder to shoulder I recommend getting upper seats .
It also got really hot quickly and ventilation wasn't the best , this is why I'm giving it 4 stars , oh before I forget the staff seems to allow people to smoke weed so if your sensitive to smoke I also don't recommendHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 15, 2024
Top of their website lists backpack are allowed and just need to be with coat check (no measurements, no pricing whatsoever)
Well, only at the bottom of the page ( last 4 sections) does it then list coat check is $5
Wtf why not just put it altogether backpack costs $5 if there's no measurements listed??Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jan 13, 2024
the first time ive ever been to SF warfield when i was 15/16 years old and i thought it was a HUGE venue. i'm now in my mid 30s and i would say it's a lot smaller than i remembered.
street parking around this venue is almost non existent, you're better off parking in the garages nearby (i think it's ~$20ish for the night?)
theres floor/standing and seating at the balcony available, choose your poison. if you've got long legs, i do not recommend sitting in the balcony area. the seats themselves are definitely not spacious.
merch line can get a bit hectic depending on who's playing for the night and could even block the walking and stair areas.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 29, 2023
It's a nice venue, but crowd control and staff is a major turn off.
I only recently got to visit this venue for 2 concerts. The first one was a big sold out artist. I tried to arrive as early after work as I could, but it took forever just to get in.
This made our time to get merch extremely reduced. It felt very unorganized. We did get pretty close to the front of the first merchline, but some staff told us that the line was capped, so we got out. Frustratingly, while we were walking around, we saw several people behind us still get serviced. We tried getting into the shorter merch line in the back, but was turned away. We were told that merch was going to be open for after the concert, but was turned away again. Very frustrating.
Besides that. This is a pretty condensed venue as it's wedged between other buildings on this downtown block. A lot of things felt cramped, from the lobby, to the bathrooms. Looking down at the GA standing room didn't look like a fun place to be. The seating itself had breathing room. I was able to see the performers well in both concerts that I attended. The sound system and video system were good, no big errors.
I'm not too thrilled to come to back to this venue in the future. Things feel disorganized and staff isn't very helpful.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Courtney B.Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA024Mar 11, 2024
Jam packed and crowded-women fainting because of how hot it was. They need to re evaluate how many people can actually fit in that venue because they should not have sold that many tickets it was unbelievable. The concert I went to was good, would have been better at a different venue though. Definitely will not be going back

I absolutely loved this theater! It is so conveniently located in the city. I went to The Warfield to see Jeremy Zucker & Jenny Lewis. For Jeremy Zucker, I was able to stand right next to the stage, and I had a great view! Security for the show passed out water bottles during the concert, which was fantastic.
For the Jenny Lewis concert, I was sitting up at the balcony. It was a nice show, and fun for the holidays! One of the openers included Shabazz Palaces (a great set)!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Genoveba S.Castroville, CA052Feb 13, 2024
Stopped last night to watch Stick Figure an amazing show, BUT it wouldn't have happened without Kevin at the box office. We had a hiccup with accessing our AXS account for the tickets, and Kevin was so patient and helpful that he still managed to get our issue resolved and saved the night for us!

First of all, construction on Market made it a bit confusing getting to the venue. Ample parking lots around the area. Easy process getting in, friendly staff working there. Bartenders were awesome. Restrooms were clean. Upstairs restrooms for the women have big mirrors and sitting area. Ventilation must be old cause towards the middle of the show everyone was smelling hot dogs... most likely the hot dog venders outside getting ready for the exit of watchers. It was super funny. The place brought back high school memories for me... my first time here was watching a KMEL high school dance competition event. And came tonight to watch JR DeGuzman... a classic venue... will be back again in a few weeks for a Kpop concert.

Generally like the venue but there was absolutely woefully insufficient ventilation at the show last night. It is unseasonably warm in SF and they overpacked the floor and balcony. It was sweating-down-your-face hot within 35 minutes of the opener. Before the first set was over, I experienced a reflex syncope and passed out in the pit from the heat. I received very little assistance from the warfield staff and had to find my way to the bathroom, down the stairs, alone.
There were no fans running and nothing done to reduce the temperature/humidity inside. The inner doors to the theater were open but the exterior doors were not. So it just got hotter and hotter with zero ventilation all night. Completely unsafe. If you can't host a show safely - don't host the show. Isn't that what we literally are paying the venue for?
It is grotesquely irresponsible and frankly just stupid to have kept those exterior doors shut all night. The sidewalk around them is fenced off and there's plenty of security. I will not feel safe at the warfield in the future and I'm going to be very careful if I attend a show here again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
