If you don't mind sharing a bathroom, then this place is fine for the price.  The room was warm and clean.  It's kinda a funny historic place so it made it a bit more interesting than a Motel 6 kinda stay.  Like I said, it's a historic place, so when I lifted our door that kept sticking, the door fell off it's hinges!  It was fixed by the time we came back for dinner so all was good.

I'd definitely try this place again and maybe drag the bf up for the honeymoon room with the funky claw foot tub.  Then again, i have a thing for Deadwood so I'm probably going easy on the review.

A nice clean little room with a good bed for $59 and continental breakfast is included!  Bathroom is down the hall.  I just wish Mammoth, June Lake and the Yosemite area had a place like this.

Stayed here over the Christmas weekend for a weekend of snowboarding. The prices were absolutely reasonable. Got a double room for $69 for two of us. The room was tiny but we didn't care at that price. The location was great, right in the heart of historic downtown, lots of things to go eat and see. But, because it is in downtown, it is directly across the street from the train station. Around 4am every morning a cargo train rolls through the station. The hotel provides ear plugs but just be aware of the train. The hotel is pretty close to snow resorts like Boreal, Squaw, Sugarbowl, Alpine and Northstar. A quick 15 mins and you're at these resorts.
They had equipment lockers which were convenient for storing our gear. The free breakfast was a nice way to start a day full of boarding.

We ate lunch here and the food was pretty darn tastey.  Great French Fries, which is alway a good thing.  The service was very good and extremely helpful as we were on a time crunch.  The atmosphere is also very cute and relaxing.  Great place to stop for a bite in Truckee.
