If you owned a prize-winning racehorse, would you trust just anyone to shoe him? No. Similarly, your car's tires are one of the most important aspects of your driving experience, whether they're for going fast around corners without losing grip, or keeping you more in-control on snow. Even if you drive a Yugo you still want someone who knows what they're doing. And giving you a good price to boot.
When it came time to change tires the first time on my sports car, I did some research. I first called several tire companies around the Boulder area to do a price check...and by that I mean the TOTAL price including labor, balancing, and old tire disposal, not just the cost of the tires themselves. Tire Source won that round. Then it was on to talk to other people in the area who had the same car as I did...guys who took their car to the track on weekends and thus were serious about equipment. This place came up yet again. That pretty much sealed it, and I've been going here exclusively ever since.
They provide while-you-wait service in their small office area, or you can leave and come back, but either way it's first come, first served.
The guys who run it are polite, friendly, and easy going. As far as I know, it's a locally owned place and certainly does have that vibe...I feel like I'm in my dad's workshop. I've witnessed them taking phone calls from customers and spending a long time giving suggestions and advice, all for free. This seems to be one establishment that realizes the key to repeat business...treating the customer with respect, and providing quality, fairly-priced service.
I've been here 3 or 4 times over the years and never had a single thing to complain about. Great prices, great service, no complaints = five stars. Highly recommended.
