What up all you dude-bras?
Does the part of the beach that is in front of the old 90210 house count as the strand? Cause that's where we set up camp.
Twas monday, the end of the mini heat wave, and boy oh boy, some of the best beaching weather imaginable! I'm glad we brought a beach brollie, or else I woulda been toast for sure! There wasn't even much of the regular beach breeze. It was my first official beach day of the new season. I even got in the ocean, something I rarely do.
And all though the water wasn't as clear as I like, the ocean was still. It felt more like a lake, even sounded like it. The waves lapping at the sand gently. Sometimes I wished for the sound of beach wind and waves crashing, because it often drowns out your neighbors conversations. Some girls were even asking this guy sitting with his entourage for pictures, but upon closer inspection I couldn't recognize this fellow. Were these girls just desperate for a picture with a male? Who knows.
We saw a bunch of dolphins too, even one jumping clear out of the water. Very pleasant indeed!

...And I thought Hancock Park had pretty homes. Outside of Bel Air and places with "estates" and hedges so high you can't see the houses from beyond the automated gates, I think these are the most gorgeous residences I've ever seen, period, let alone beachside.
My girl, who lives right near here, had a dream last night that we bought a house along this strip. She has a pretty kickass knack of manifesting stuff, so if I go missing, don't worry, I'm not dead, I just fell off of reality and landed in a mansion and am busy having mimosas on our beachfront porch.

Of the places where I'd like to own a home... I think this place just about tops it....
ok.. fine... don't even need to own... doesn't even have to be a whole home... I'll just rent or something.... I imagine it'd be pretty cool to live here.
a bit windy at times... but a nice place with the beach right in front and a nice place to stroll up and down for a walk.
someday..... someday..
Ok... I don't know what the deal is with the walkways... .but people need to pick up after their dogs or something.... I probably saw half a dozen skid marks, followed by patches of poop where some poor stroller was tracking it for the next 50 ft.... gross.

I love Manhattan Beach. It's pretty much the only beach my family and I go to. Even though parking is a bitch, it means there are less people there because there are only 2 small public lots. I hate beaches that get super packed (like Santa Monica). This beach is also clean and beautiful. The surrounding neighborhood is cute with lots of cute restaurants and shops you can walk to from the beach. The houses here are gorgeous. I wish I could afford one! The lifeguards take their jobs seriously, and really watch out for the swimmers. Definitely a great beach to take the whole family to.
Really nice beach. Very pretty compared to the East Coast and even gulf coast.
I took a nice long walk on the beach with my woman after I flew in 2 days to see her for New Years.
Beach is clean, and how awesome is it that I can be in shorts and t-shirt in January.
Water was cold though, but I even saw some crazy little kids playing in the water.
Bring go get yourself a lady friend and bring her here and walk on the beach close to sunset. That's what you call hopeless romantic, or mad game. Either way, its money.

I didn't even know Manhattan Beach HAD a strand!!!! When in the world did this happen???? I was told that it's always been there, so why haven't I come here before?
Reminiscent of Huntington Beach and Venice mixed together, but much nicer and cleaner.
Absolutely beautiful. Any day I come here is a good day, especially if it's on a weekday because it's less busy. Jog or bike. Ogle the sexy bods running and rollerblading past you. Stroll on the pier and check out the cute little aquarium. Admire the pretty houses and if you're feeling nosy, peek through the windows! Feel the clean white sand between your toes. If you're hungry, you're less than a block away from homemade ice cream, pizza, jamba juice, and Noah's Bagels. There's also a random swingset smack dab in the middle of the sand, so you can jump off and not get hurt! It really does not get any better than this.

I looove this area, it's gorgeous, the water is perfect (usually), and i never feel like i'm fighting to get a spot on the sand. I frequented Paradise cove and Zuma, but I've gotta say that Manhattan beach is by far my favorite so far. I've been pretty lucky with the parking and have already figured out "my spots" and it's always a relaxing experience just heading out there... i don't have anything bad to say about this area. it's amazing.
