It's a sports bar. I tried to hype it up and get excited, but it's really just a sports bar. It smells like the floor is covered in beer (because it probably is), its drafty, it's loud with drunks yelling at the TV, and the "famous hotdogs" are really just regular hotdogs.

Sometimes a bar with beer and sports is all you need. I can walk here from home and will prob be back, but not for the food. Just the beer and obnoxious company.(:

minus one stat for a unorginal name.
minus one star for turning off all the football games except on one TV to watch MMA match.

Two stars for decent food and ok beer selection. Will have to try here again without all the MMA Meatheads present...

Wow, I will never step foot in this establishment again.  Just out of principle.  We were here for the 9ers game when the only  4 saints fans complained that a tall man was blocking one of the 40 tvs.  They went and found the owner who actually came out and basically kicked the guy out!!  The middle aged man was with his family and not drunk or anything, it was totally out of line.

1)It was so lame that the owner actually acquiesced to that complaint in a packed sports bar
    2) there was no need to take such an aggressive and unnecessary tone with a totally calm guy
3). How about kindly suggesting he move over instead of demanding that he
basically stand in a corner because he's too tall OR leave?... Doesn't seem right to me...
    4) HOME TEAM FANS MAKE YOUR BAR WHAT IT IS!!  Not the 4 visitors stirring it up with everyone in the place

Thought this was a cool place for locals to cheer on their teams, apparently not if your over 6'2. Sorry tall guys.

This is your typical sports bar, every city needs one and this one fits the bill.

The food is typical pub grub, nothing special that is going to wow you but look around they have a lot of TVs with games on all of them.  They show the UFC fights so if you are a fan and do not feel like sitting at home you can go watch it there.

Saturday and Sunday during football season are busy so do not plan on showing up at 11AM and getting a place to sit.  They do a good job of trying to have all the games on different TVs so you have to get there early and find out which TV will have your game of choice.

Beer selection is pretty standard.  They serve Sierra Nevada so I have to give a thumbs up there as well.

What has happened to Stadium Pub.  They were not crowded and yet we could only have one menu at our table, because they did not  have enough.  Then eating our Fish and Chips the waitress came to borrow our vinegar for another table...really?  And the ketchup was clearly watered down.  Paper plates and silverware.  We were very disappointed.

Blegh. I had never been in this bar before and thought it seemed ok from the outside...but no. Gross inside. Bartenders suck. It was busy but I was standing at the bar, not behind crowds of people- at the bar. I was looking at FOUR different bartenders who were unable to handle the crowd in a timely manner. When I finally decided to yell over to a lady she told me "yes, I see you, youre fourth in line." Uh you werent even here when I walked up how would you know that? Then she proceeded to serve some other girl that had just walked up a couple minutes ago. And the pitcher was a rip off... why did i leave Mccoveys $5 pitcher deal?! Oh for a gross bar, bad bartenders, and $18 pitcher. Too bad I still tipped her. Stupid manners...

Ive been in PACKED San Francisco bars with only two bartenders, and was served more quickly. Maybe it was bartenders in training night?

I grew up loving this place, but now as an adult, it is very mediocre.  The placement of the TVs are awkward in that there really isn't a good seat in the joint if you're not the first one to sit down.  The food is standard fair, by the quality has progressively gone down over the years.  Example: Chicago dogs (of which the business was founded on) have bun, dog, two halved tomato slices, diced onion, relish, and a pickle spear laid across the top.  Last chicago dog I had there had diced tomatoes, pickle slices on the side, and the ingredients were sketchy.  And Don't be fooled like me!  The footlong is an eight inch frankfurter, not a traditional footlong.  If you want a place to hang out and eat hot dogs, this will suffice.  But if you want to watch sports and eat good hot dogs, find another venue.

They have a TV for every football game on Sundays, if not for that I doubt I'd find myself here very often. The wait staff is fairly quick and friendly, but I wouldn't recommend stopping by for a bite because what you get for the price really isn't worth it.

If you wanna have a quick drink before going somewhere else, or have no other option to watch football on Sunday, this is the place...

My husband and I have been going here for years, mainly September through January since there is no better bar in all of Cali to watch football (especially the Chicago Bears :o) The staff is WONDERFUL! The food is good, try the Ahi Fish Tacos or the Philly cheesesteaks.  Their beer selection is really good too, they have some great Porters that you usually cant find in other local sports bars in the area.

Stadium Pub is a pretty solid sports bar. Plenty of TVs, good selection of beer, mostly sports fans (at least the times I've been there). Food is decent, typical sports bar food. For me, there's nothing to put it over the "A-OK" mark, but I haven't been disappointed here.

I'd go here to watch a game, overall it fits the definition of "sports bar" almost perfectly.

I go to the Stadium Pub to watch UFC because it's really the only place in town to go otherwise, I wouldn't.

The beer is fine, the wait staff is decent but, the food is terrible.  It's actually the worst pub food I've ever had-anywhere!

I also wish they would turn up the volume during the fights so you could actually hear something.

If their was an alternative sports bar in the area that showed the fights, (masses usually doesn't) I would go there instead.

Not a bad place for a beer and game. They have reasonable prices, an excellent selection of beer, and a great wait staff.

A pretty mixed crowd shows up here, but everyone has been friendly. It's not a bad place to throw on a Bay Area jersey and go cheer for a local team.

Food was decent. I got a street hot dog and shared a philly cheesesteak and onion rings with my buddy. The philly and onion rings were pretty greasy, but the hot dog was really good.

What saves this place is the crazy amount of TVs and the atmosphere. I came here on Saturday to watch college football (go UCLA bruins). There were fans from so many different schools and there was pretty much cheering going on every 10 seconds. It was a good time, and I would come back to on a Saturday or Sunday to watch like 50 games at the same time.

Went here with a buddy last Sunday for the first time. Very impressed with the service, very nice waitresses were attentive and friendly (not to mention all 5 of them were beautiful).

Beer selection was great, reasonable priced pitchers, and television a plenty with all different games going on. Will definitely be back to try the food and grab a spot for a Sunday day of football.

Well, it was just after 5 on a friday and out of no where a craving a for a beer came upon me. I grabbed my friend we met up on Main ST. and began are search for the place that was antisipating our arrival to cure my ever so overwhelming beer craving.

Thats when this place came into our vision.

I have walked by this place countless amount of times over the past 15 years and have never had a chance to stop in and check them out. Well, today was the day and the timing was right.

This looks like your typical sporty, Irish pub like bar, which appears to be pretty partied out if you know what I mean.

However, exterior was not my main concern but a nice cool refreshing beer was. They have a great selection of beers to choose from and a pretty decent lunch menu as welll.

We were seated promptly and given some menus. Our hunger pains were not errupting yet so, we just stuck with some beers this visit.

I ordered some dark Irish beer that had an unusally long name that I can't recall though, it tasted fantac!

The place seemed to appear a little dirty after sitting for awhile and the service was not as prompt as I would like. Though, I could definitely see this being a fun and lively place to kick back, watch the game and grub on some good old american food, while of course being accompanied with some good drink.

OK this is a sports pub. You go here to watch Sports on TV sets and drink beer. There are many many TVs tuned to everything that is playing. If you want to watch a particular Aussie Rules game, ask; there are enough sets that they will find one for you. The taps are many and varied, and they know how to pour a pint. The Chicago style hot dogs are probably the most unique thing i have had from the kitchen, but it is all fine pub grub.
WARNING! This is a sports bar, not a fine dinning establishment! If you want something clever done with endive, this is not your place. Go out the door, turn left and look in the windows of Prima, Plern, ect, just keep going!

I've been going here every month for a couple of years now to watch UFC fights. Definitely one of the best sports bars around. They have literally dozens of screens throughout the bar so you almost always have a good view of the action. Another huge plus is that they serve good food so combining dinner with a sporting event is recommended. Definitely arrive at least an hour ahead of time as the bar gets very packed and finding a seat is not easy.

    ** LOCAL HOMETOWN SPORTS BAR & RESTAURANT ... MINUS THE WINGS AND HOOTERS ( o )( o ) **

This was our lunch break spot during our Iron Horse bike ride.   Thanks to Yelp Mobile we found this local hometown sports pub.

Our waitress was super friendly and allowed us to park our bikes next to the outdoor patio.  Two stars four bringing out our beers super fast and chit chatting with us.

Since it was early, we were the first people to get seated and placed our orders right away.

Minus three stars because the salmon burger was awful - the salmon was mashed up with different herbs and spices into a patty then deep fried or slapped on the griddle.   This thing was totally dry and hella bland.   Screw it... I'm super hungry so I killed it anyway by soaking it in ketchup.  I was with my boys so I animal styled that thing. More points on the home cut fries.   Don't get the seasoned fries because it was super salty and these guys dumped hella spices all over it.     Just ask for plain French fries.

As for the amenities, this is ideal for the "after-work-catch-the-game or playoffs sports bar".     I could totally see me and my crew hanging out here.

Two stars for now.    Btw... the bathroom was hella nasty.   Clean that sh*t up!

Will Go Back:  Yes, if I'm in the area.  The Philly Cheese Steak looked so good.
Romantic:  Uh... No.  Unless she's totally into sports and beer.
Parking:  You're screwed.    Street parking only.

One of the best spots in Walnut Creek to get bar food, beer, and any sports games. Great location to watch Sunday football and best to get there early for the morning games since around noon can be hard to get a seat.
You can tell they must be doing something right since they have been able to avoid the coming and going of many other bars in the area over the years.
The food menu has a great selection with all your typical bar food along with others.
Only thing bad about this place is parking but that's the same problem for most places in the area.
Keep this place in mind for your next pub crawl in walnut creek.

You can do much better, trust me. Came here on a slow Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside on the patio. We saw no waitress or waiter in sight with a few customers outside so we went in and requested a server to come out and take our order.

The waitress came out and took our drink order which was a Corona beer and a Blue moon/Guinness hybrid beer. She got my drink wrong and gave me a Guinness and something else that was not a wheat beer. I think it might have been a Bass with Guinness.

We ordered a Philly cheese steak and a grilled cheese. It was mediocre at best, nothing flashy, and I have eaten far better from cheaper places. We also found out before ordering that you do not get fries with your meals which makes their prices seem even higher. Major minus Stadium Pub. Also, we had to dig through the large fry basket to find good fries from the burnt fries.

Finally we waited for a long time to get the bill like we waited to get service. If you have a patio you should keep at least 1 mandatory person on the patio. Terrible service. Won't be back to this sub-par sports bar.

We used to go there for every UFC until we tried Buffalo Wild Wings all the way in Fairfield, and realized it's so worth the drive!

Stadium is stinky and stuffy. It's fun though, but it really is a low grade sports bar. I think it's the only one is Walnut Creek. The service, the TVs and even the beers are no good. They over work their waitresses. The food is like any other hole in the wall bar food. It gets almost too loud during the UFC fights. Forget about parking!

People stand outside watching the UFC so they don't have to pay the cover charge. The door guy looks like Joe Roagan. lol

Until you try better you think this place is cool.

I literally couldn't count the number of TV's they have at this place..
A great sports bar, but I wouldn't recommend going there on an empty stomach. Don't get me wrong, I really do like this place, but I just thought they're charging City prices for some decent food.
Our table got chilli fries, chicken steak sando and ahi taco's. The food was adequate, but don't think the $12 for 2-tacos was appropriate.  And they stay "world famous fries"... I feel like they've given me the "HANGOVER the Movie" effect.... people hyping it up so much that it's mediocrity didn't do its title justice. When someone says WORLD FAMOUS, I better get a party in my mouth, not just a decent greasy feeling that I get from hanging out at a street festival.
Service as great, friendly helpful people, and $2 beers on Tues!

Would've given it 4-stars but gotta knock 1 for the price of bar food...

Went  to our bank this AM to get something straightened out. We were talking about trying this place and our banker said it is a great place.  He used to work in W.C. and knows the owners.

So we drove to W.C. and found the Pub on the corner of North Main and Lincoln. Just down Lincoln is the new W.C. Library and we parked in their super convenient parking garage under the library for $1.00 per hour  for up to 4 hours.

The Pub is not large, dark, lots of tvs, with high pub-style tables. We had checked yelp and I ordered the "original" hot dog.  My husband ordered the hot pastrami and we shared an order of fries.  The beer was good. Fries were good, hot dog was ok, pastrami tough, salty, inedible.

In a Pub, the ladies room toilet did not flush!

All tvs were tuned to a soccer game. At noon most tables were empty.

The waitress was nice, and checked to see if we needed more beer but not how the food was. When she gave us the check, I mentioned the tough pastrami, and she said we should have told her earlier.  True, I guess.  Our banker told us it is a great place to watch a fight.  We won't go back to eat!!!!

Standard food and service, but great atmosphere for hanging out and catching a game. Definitely the place to be in Walnut Creek downtown for catching a sports game. This not so big place literally has 20+ flat screens TV's, no joke, playing different sports games at the same time. They're also smart enough charge cover on the nights of UFC fights. Wish they serve fish and chips daily instead of only on Fridays. Overall, Stadium Pub is a nice to hang out, but don't need to come specifically for the food.

What a disappointment. The Stadium Pub has all the opportunity to be a great place, but it missed the mark. Lots of TV's for watching sports, really solid location, even an excellent floor plan. But when the service is close to non-existent and the food is bland, no amount of sports memorabilia on the walls is going to salvage the place.

No one greeted us, which, given that it is a pub was OK, I guess. When one goes to a pub to eat and not to drink at the bar, however, it can be hard to get the wait staff's attention. It took 5-10 minutes to have someone give us menus and take our drink orders. Another 5 or so minutes passed to get our drinks (water and a diet soda, so nothing too complicated). Once we ordered our food, that was another 15 minute wait. No one checked on us through the meal. When I finally did get someone's attention for a refill, the server brought me an Arnold Palmer. We went in the middle of the week and it was not a busy night. No major sporting event was being broadcast. The server said she was new and from reviews on Yelp I do hear that The Stadium Pub is notoriously understaffed, so I'll cut some slack on the wait time.

The food, however, was not worth the wait. The fish tacos were tough, chewy, and bland. The Italian Beef sandwich, which is described as a "specialty" that apparently isn't always available was a big mistake. The menu says it's brisket, but I found the dry meat to be nondescript and rubbery, and the Italian spices overbearing. The bell peppers were not fully cooked and thus added a waxy bitterness to the whole thing. All that and nothing came with sides. Good thing I had to wait so long to get the food because I was so hungry by the time the sandwich arrived, I was willing to eat a good portion of it.

The TV's were fun, if the staff would stop switching channels every five minutes. Just when we were getting interested in a soccer game they switched it to hockey. And when we were getting interested in the hockey game they switched to basketball.

All in all a let down of an evening. Again, The Stadium Pub has the potential to be a great local sports bar, but it falls short. I'm not asking for fine dining, just a handful of solid dishes and simple comfort food to go along with the pleasure of watching a game with some friends.

Walnut Creek is seeing Restaurants disappear, and this one probably should be one of them - Either that or it needs to be redone.

I REALLY want want to like Stadium Pub - I DO! But I have had so many crappy meals there, I have to speak up.

First, it is obviously poorly run. The servers are always overworked, and are quite rude because of it. I once waited for a menu for over 25 minutes then, when trying to get a menu from our waitress, told me she had to get some other people menus first. WHO doesn't have enough menus?

Because the servers are overworked, we all suffer. The last time I went there was the Friday night before the Giants clinched and the genius manger decided to staff it with a bartender, two servers and a cook. It makes it hard to be mad at the servers.

And because they are so backed up, I am still waiting for my first hot meal at Stadium Pub. The fries taste good, but I wouldn't know what they taste like hot.

And then there is the food, The burger? Mediocre at best. Club Sandwich? At least its pretty plain. The only things my friends will order there is the Grilled Cheese or the Corn Dog.

It kills me that this place sucks so much, because having lived in Walnut Creek for so long, you WANT a good place to sit and eat and watch the game. But that place doesn't exist.

The Stadium Pub appears to have a long standing business practice of exclusively employing shrewish harpies.  Now, whether they hire already established harpies, or train once-sweet tempered ladies into these she-beasts is unknown, but they have certainly demonstrated a consistent hiring trend over the years.

Aside from being waited upon by women who seem to long to spit in your face, the food here is marginal and the sandwiches and burgers don't come with fries (so lame). The drink prices are middle of the road, and the atmosphere is that of your standard skeevy dive bar.  The sole reason I ever return here is that it is often the only Walnut Creek drinking establishment that has both standing room and no cover charge on weekend evenings.

Came here for lunch a few days ago.

I walked in, asked an employee if I could sit anywhere, and they said yes.  I picked a table outside on the "patio," waited 15 minutes for a server/busser/waiter/etc to come to my table, yet no came.

Needless to say, I left and walked down the street to the Brass Bear Deli and had a great lunch.

    Terrible service = not recommended.

Believe it or not this October is Giant's October. The Stadium Pub has a strong following for the Giants and this is the place to be in the Walnut Creek area. When my baseball friend and I came to visit is was packed to the gills. Standing Room Only.

Over 10 flat screen to watch the Giants or watch NFL football on Sundays. The bartenders, those cuties (female lovely bartenders) were pouring mixed drinks, shots and all of the favorite beers all night long. Large selection of beers on tap and light beers for those watching the waist line. I saw alot of people ordering Coors light.

Typical bar food menu but they have an extensive selection of hot dogs (their claim to fame). Tuesday nights the Stadium Pub offers taco and shrimp specials.  Great location in Walnut Creek, walking distance to other hangouts.

Who are ya! Who are ya!

A FANTASTIC place to watch soccer aka European Football in the Bay Area. They will open early for big matches but don't expect them to swing the doors open for your club team from Latvia's first chance to qualify for the Europa League. (If you love soccer as much as I do, this joke is really funny huh?)

World Cup is madness as are big Champions League games so expect to clash with rival fans as this pub holds only one visible alliance, the NY Giants.

Food is middle of the road and a bit overpriced but I've only ever eaten it when I'm 8 sheets to the wind, so it hits the spot for sure. The beer selection is above average but you may see a summer seasonal there in the dead of winter.

Parking is a friggin nightmare, be prepared to circle the block a dozen times or so.

10-word Walnut Creek bar review: More TVs than Best Buy; food is about as good.

    It's "OK"...nothing horrible...but notthing spectacular...

We went on Taco Tuesday's-and the TACO's were AMAZING! I had the Shrimp taco's. They bring you out the shell with the meat and then it is buffet style with the condiments. So yum.

The biggest downfall about this place is the HEAT! It is just so hot and crowded...I was here a couple months ago on a weekend night and it was even more crowded...they ran out of about 4 different kinds of beers...just not a good impression.

It's great location for watching your fave sports game though!

A solid sports bar. This is where I go to watch the World Series or the World Cup. It's walking distance from where I live, so I don't have to worry about parking.

Non-native Walnut Creekians don't seem to believe me that this place gets PACKED during finals games. Like a can of sardines.

Get here at least two hours before game time if you want to sit at a table. Otherwise, it's standing room only.

Though not to worry. TVs are plastered all over this medium-size bar, and the really nice waitresses will keep on top of your order whether you're sitting or standing.

The main room has a lot of low tables and bar tables, and the bar on the left has plenty of seating. I've never managed to snag a place on the enclosed patio out front. The cool thing about it is that the TVs face outside, so the overflow can still watch the game. The back room has a pool table and a few tables as well.

I'd recommend a pitcher of Blue Moon and an order of Garlic Fries. You feel like you're almost at AT&T Park watching the game.

Not recommended is the Pastrami Sandwich. Save your money and get the $3 hot dog instead.

*Tip: They have extra chairs stored on the left just inside the main room. Just be sure not to place the chair in the aisle, or you'll get in the way of the hard working waitresses.
