Brooklyn, NY
Didn't want to go to Tom's because of the wait and the fact we had our two month old with us (no space, would prefer to avoid super-busy place). The Spot was open, still very conveniently located, and advertised an "unlimited mimosa brunch" (on Saturdays and Sundays only, 11 am to 4 pm).
Going in, I was moderately skeptical, but the food was really quite good, the service met expectations, and the unlimited mimosas were tasty. All in all,we are very likely to return for brunch!
Note: the hours as described on Yelp are incorrect, Saturdays, at least, they're open 11am - 12am (midnight). -

$12.95 bottomless brunch, and $14.95 if you order steak and eggs.
I recommend not getting the steak and eggs for a few reasons:
1. Not worth the money
2. Just a little bit of meat
3. They have other tasty option, why pay $2 extra to get less?
Their eggs, if you are going for poached option that is, tend to be on the harder side. However, if you like your eggs are runny, they are more than glad to oblige.
The mimosas come in a regular sized glass unlike many other places. And they keep on topping it off even before you finish.
Their pancakes are outrageously yummy. The mediums are large, and the large pancakes are gigantic. If you order an extra outside the pancake bar, that will cost you $5.89. Still cheap for a gigantic pancake if you ask me.
HERE IS THE BEST PART: During refills, they top off your glass with champagne directly from the bottle! CHAMPAGNE DIRECTLY FROM THE BOTTLE.
Nice, small outdoor seating area. Serving time may take a bit because their kitchen is really small. The place itself is tiny. But it's packed on a Saturday ,even at 2pm.
No reservation required. Accepts credit.Listed in: Bottomless brunch, brunch,

Lame is a pretty good word to describe this spot. This neighborhood is filled with great "spots" similar to what the spot is aiming to aspire to. However, it lacks a few good things that all restaurants around it have (vanderbuilt is filled with them!).
i sat down to a wobbly table for one and ordered a glass of wine. my server didn't know what they had, asked the bartender, and i realized they only had 2 bottles of red that were extremely cheap and gross for $10...
my food, only a caprese salad took a long LONG time. i noticed all the tables around me were experiencing this waiting throughout their meals, and were not to happy about it. finally. the check was way too much for the kind of experience i had. i would recommend skipping this place and heading straight down washington or vanderbuilt for some really great grub. -

Incredibly small portions for the price! Ordered delivery and the 'side' of asparagus was 4 asparagus spears, and the 'entree' was incredibly small as well. Arrived over half an hour late, and definitely not worth the almost-$20 ticket. Bummer.

Not sure what's going on with these guys lately. They used to be our go-to for delivery when we were looking to get burgers. Unfortunately, I think we're done. Got our order the other night & the bottom of the bun was completely inedible. So soggy it had almost disintegrated. The fries? They'd put them in the crappy styrofoam they use when they were still so hot that they literally melted the container. And I mean MELTED. I called & they replaced the order but of course we had to wait almost 40 minutes for it & we weren't even offered dessert for our trouble. I asked to be contacted by the manager. Never heard a word. Oh, well. Thanks for the memories, guys. Looks like I'll be finding a new burger spot.

We ordered delivery from this place for the first time recently - we waited over 2 hours for the food to come, and when it finally arrived it was (not surprisingly) cold and inedible. They forgot to include the only 2 sides we ordered, but of course, they did not forget to charge us for it. When I called to complain to the manager, she claimed she would issue us a refund for the sides (which hasn't happened yet). We were also surprised she made no other offers to compensate us or rectify the situation. We will NEVER order from this place again.

the spot is good for delivery even tough slow... I just love their grilled salmon 4 stars for it . The restaurant itself isn't anything special and when i had diner there the A/C wasn't working and the waitress was clueless but nice ! I still didn't go there for brunch ! I did order the mussels once and they were so bad i threw them away but the salmon definitely makes up for some of their faux pas !

New York, NY
Apparently, only the brunch is good here at the Spot and they have unlimited mimosas, because that's the only reason anyone has rated them four stars in any of these reviews. But for anything else, I don't recommend it.
The wait staff (while very nice) were poor at their job. I had to ask for my water to get filled multiple times; had to ask for the music to be turned down twice and changed because it sounded like a gym; two waitresses with only six people in the whole restaurant and they took forever with everything and didn't remember to check on us.
The food took over 45 minutes to arrive (keep in mind there were only six other people there, and only two others had ordered food) and when it arrived - just poor. My steak was cooked wrong and not worth the money. For me or my girlfriend.
I guess they must be good for brunch, but I'm reluctant to ever return. I've lived in the neighborhood for 2 and 1/2 years and am within SPITTING distance to them - finally decided to give them a shot. And they blew it. Big time. Probably one of the two worst dining experiences I've had in the neighborhood. -

Food is just ok...didn't really care how the waitstaff didn't write down our order...both times I went, friends ordered omeletes and she never got them write because I guess she was too good for a pen and pencil....if it wasn't for the unlimited mimosas and the other good looking patrons..i probably would have hated the place!!!

poor decor, cold bland food, awful service. giving this review 2 stars because of the unlimited mimosas. I tried this place once when it opened a few years ago and it wasn't memorable but decided to try it out again because it is always packed on weekends. I mean, packed to the brim! well, I guess they are all alcoholics like me because the only reason to ever come here is for the liquor. I'm not even going to waste any time writing about the food, its just not worth it.

This place is actually in Crown Heights. My wife ordered the Pallela, it smelled ripe to me, not off but XTREMELY fishy. She said that it didn't have much flavor but was too salty to eat. Luckily we had some leftover yellow rice so she could salvage the dish. Apparently the seafood was cooked well.
I ordered the minestrone soup, very salty and too much celery, nice flavor though. My side of spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, with a decent marinara that was too salty. The mashed potatoes were great (salty) nicely whipped and just enough butter. My beef short ribs were mouth watering and were served with a gravy that had nice depth of flavor but was again, too salty.
It'll be some time before I try this place again, just a shame because it seems their chef can cook but just can't season properly. -

I love unlimited mimosa brunch.
The service generally isn't that great and the food can take a long time, which can result in never seeing the bottom of your glass and getting quite intoxicated. In the past year, they've tried to keep the boozing under control it seems- a time limit on your brunching/faster service/less refills, but its still a great deal and a delicious brunch. I like getting a side salad with an order of eggs and having really delicious options for omelets...and getting day drunk. Can't go wrong. -

I went here for their delicious fettuccine Alfredo that the people in my office rave about. It was delicious. Also, what was great about this place was the price and the amount of food. For the price, my serving was huge (I even had some to take home with me). I definitely will go again. I hear that their brunch is a great deal for the money, as well, so I will definitely check that out.

Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, NY
The Spot is a world of "meh". Many other have highlighted the poor food and service, so I'll just ask this: why have a dim, candlelit room if you're going to have a TV on all night, ruining the ambiance? It's almost like a beacon saying: "beware, this place is not as legit as you might think." Of course, a boozy brunch can be fun, but for real food go to Tom's, Shane or the truly underrated Teddy's restaurant - all on Washington Ave.

Review from Nyota W.
All I have to say is this is my official brunch spot in Brooklyn. Great omelets, unlimited mimosas and this amazing french toast that my friends and I order as dessert. Sometimes it gets crowded, but generally the staff is always smiling and always refilling my cup. Brunch is from 11-4 and they have outdoor seating in the summer. If you arrive around 2:30, expect to wait outside before being seated. If you show up at 11 there is no problem or wait involved. Winning!!! Is this the best food I've ever had, no! Is this a great deal ($12.95) and cool outing with friends, DEFINITELY! I've even had friends travel down from Connecticut just to hang out here for brunch.
I've never eaten dinner here, but my friends tell me that's pretty good as well. -

New York, NY
Post race celebration with bottomless mimosas: WINNING! But this is where the fun stopped. While they tout bottomless coffee and mimosas our waiter took it upon himself to stop sending the coffee.
The food was average. While I enjoyed my mexican eggs, the fries were "meh", and the bacon was "literally" uneatable. What was worse... the bacon remained on the menu. The food took a little too long to get to the table, but who can keep count on the clock when the mimosas flow free.
outside seating is sparse, but enjoyable. The last bit of luxury is a small television above the bar set to ESPN. All-in-all it is diner fare atmosphere for the food, and sweet ambiance from which to enjoy the mimosas.
I will be back to The Spot. -

I used to swear by The Spot. Now I do nothing but swear AT The Spot.
I can't think of one positive thing to say about this place anymore. Even when I liked it there were moments that I'd question certain things. Unprofessional waiters. The hit or miss quality of the food. Mistakes in orders. But when it was good, it was great! That all changed in the past 6 to 9 months.
I don't eat at the actual restaurant anymore. I grew weary of praying i got the 1 decent waiter out of the 2 or 3 people that bring you food. But even with delivery the place is just horrendous. Don't order by calling because I've had a more than one issue with someone giving attitude on the phone and my order is NEVER right. EVER. EVER. EVER. And the food just isn't as good anymore. I have tried The Spot at least 4 times since I swore I wouldn't deal with them any more. But the fact is I don't have that wide of a selection for delivery to my neighborhood. So I end up trying them again and again hoping against hope they wont suck this time. And each time they suck.
It's my fault at this point.
Today I was starving and wanted something besides pizza, chinese food, sushi or thai. I say to a friend "It's going to be hard to screw up a burger and salmon carpaccio (Which is only smoked salmon and a bit of salad) They just can't mess this up right?
I get the order and I open up what SHOULD be salmon carpaccio and its French fries. Then the burger was bland. I call to tell them that the order is wrong and the woman on the phone starts telling me that its not their fault. It was a mistake on the part of http://eat24hours.com. But then proceeds to read my EXACT order which included the Salmon Carpaccio. Then when I say "So you do have my order" and the woman on the phone yells "Well we're sending it now!" Really lady? First its not your fault then you're giving me attitude about when you're going to send it? No "im sorry" or "Is there something we can get you." just attitude.
If you want mediocre food with attitude then by all means, order from this place. I hope they close already so that a new place that might actually be good could open. -

I primarily order delivery from The Spot, and mostly brunch on the weekends. All of the food has been downright decent, although nothing stands out too far. There are a few dishes that have been hit or miss, the Buffalo Wings were just okay, and I didn't particularly care for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, but the Burger, Steak Sandwich, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine were all pretty good for delivery. And each delivery shows up in about 30 minutes, so there's never that long of a wait for food. The one thing I do think deserves special mention though: The French Toast is rolled in cornflakes, stuffed with cream cheese and deep fried. It's delicious.
Between the speedy delivery and the french toast, though, I have to say that I am a fan. -

This place is comfortable, tasty, and awesome. They come around with a pitcher of mimosa and constantly fill up your not-empty-yet glass. The food was fresh and simple. The price was right. I love this place! I can't believe how un-packed it is. I struggle writing a good review cause I want to keep it that way. :) But no, it's so good, it needs to be shared. You're welcome.

I have been to this place twice. First time was for dinner. Food was nothing special and extremely over salted.
Second time:
I went for brunch with a friend. Mimosas were watered down. After eating half of my omelette I discovered a produce tag still intact and legible attached to my spinach. Yes I took a photo.
THEY DON'T WASH THIER PRODUCE.
NOT OK! Eat at your own risk. -

Well... This was the second time I tried The Spot. The first time I ate at the restaurant and the experience and food were both underwhelming. Tonight, being a rainy night, I figured I'd give it another shot and ordered take out. This time was just awful. I live 2 blocks away and I waited almost an hour for two pasta dishes. About 45 minutes into the waiting experience I called the restaurant to check on the status of delivery and the woman who answered sounded annoyed that I was inquiring. I was put on hold for five minutes while they tracked down the whereabouts of my order and she didn't even say "sorry for the delay." That is the worst type of customer service -- when employees won't even offer a simple apology for their screw-up.
When my food did arrive, it tasted like pre-packaged frozen pasta (I'd definitely recommend Trader Joe's pre-packaged pasta dishes over this stuff). The mozzarella on the penne mozzarella had congealed into a chunk along the side of the dish. It had very little flavor.
The pasta primavera did not have "vegetables," it had a few pieces of broccoli. They ALSO had "Penne Broccoli" on the menu, which would have been $3 less. I have no idea what the difference could have been. To say this stuff was bland would be generous.
On the positive side, their cans of soda were refreshing... so if you're looking for a place to pay $.50 extra for a nice cold can of soda this is the spot. -
Review from Tanya S.
After sorting through the takeout menu drawer one night, I came across one for The Spot. Not really being in the mood for the standard Chinese, Indian, or Japanese, The Spot's bistro-style food menu looked intriguing.
For those of you who like to avoid contact with humans at all cost, you can order delivery from the convenience of their website. Sweet, pub food AND I don't have to talk to people or say "D as in David" a thousand times over the phone while giving my address!
Judging from what we ordered, I'm coming to the conclusion that The Spot does bar food very well, but the more complex entrees are pretty mediocre. We ordered the wings to share as an appetizer, and they were delicious - not too crispy or overcooked, but good and saucy. Just the way I like them. I would definitely recommend The Spot as your go-to option for wings delivered.
I will repeat for those who may not catch on quickly: The Spot delivers wings! And they're not too bad!
For my dinner, I got the BLT, with goat cheese as an add on. If you order from the lunch menu during dinner time, it's an extra $2. It was pretty tasty, albeit salty (but really, I wouldn't expect a BLT to be anything but). The bread could have been toasted a bit more.
The boyfriend got the penne vodka, which wasn't anything to write home about. A solid meal, but nothing spectacular about it.
In all, I've gotta say The Spot is a welcome addition in a land where Asian takeout is the norm. -
Review from Lea C.
Listen up, people. Three words: unlimited mimosa brunch. It is $12.95. At this point, it is completely irrelevant whether food is even served.
We did get food, though. I got a grilled BLT and a side of sausage. The bf got eggs of some sort and hashbrowns. Needless to say there was too much food (which was meh--but as we've already discussed, who cares?) and too little a/c. The only other problem is that the waitresses are a bit aggressive about your order and then pretty much continuously refills your mimosa glass after every two sips. This does two things: a) prevents any ability you may have had to keep track of how many large mimosas you've consumed, and b) absolutely ensures that you're leaving hammered. Brooklyn is very lucky that most people don't drive to this joint.
This place could for real just give me a few stale packaged donuts with unlimited mimosas and I would be more than grateful. Anything related to unlimited amounts of champagne for less than $30 (unrelated to prostitution, roofies, or being an extra in a rap video) is basically a win. Just don't plan on doing anything important for the next couple hours, unless you consider napping productive. Bring Tylenol with you for later. -
Review from Jason R.
Brooklyn, NY
I've lived in Crown Heights for about four years and have only ever ordered delivery. I have ordered a couple times because, as delivery goes, it's pretty tasty. Even a five minute bike ride has little effect on the quality of food coming from The Spot. The Surf n' Turf, Spot Burger and Bruschetta are some of my favorite to go. The cocktails are not high end but embrace the impact they have. Trust me, they have an impact. I had only one glass of Cab. and my winetude aside, it was appropriate.
My first visit here was great, the food actually taking a second seat to the warm, attentive yet relaxed service of the ladies working tonight. It was slow and quiet and I'd like to think that mentality carries over to a more hustle and bustle evening, which I hope they have.
My only critique is the interior which needs some work. Let's be honest, Crown Heights is changing and has been for some years. Now is when it's gonna count. The Spot needs to do some serious clean up on the inside if they want The Spot to be a visually pleasing place to be. For example, they have table clothes on the tables and then ruin it with a maroon paper napkin unfolded in the center. Scrap it. The bar items are not on a shelf behind the bar but on the floor behind the bar. Fix it. My favorite item is a large tree painted on the back wall. Instead of leaving it flat and bare, think creatively and seasonally. Have some artistic fun with it and get rid of the wilted "living" plants in the window.
There are three reasons people go to a restaurant, in this order. One, great service. Secondly, food. Thirdly, atmosphere. The Spot has two out of three. I'd love for them to stick around because the food is yumtown. I want yumtown to be beautiful to look at and dine in too.
I recommend this place, absolutely. The food is great and the service, well, we've been here before. -

The biggest sh*t show, that ever showed sh*t.
Terrible service, including a ten year old boy who was being forced to run food (poor kid, Sunday morning is for cartoons!) No silverware or napkins ever touched our table, luckily we didn't need them for our crappy burgers and fries, that came sans ordered bacon.
At one point, I told the couple next to us that no-one would think any less of them if they got up and walked out due to the even worse service they received. After waiting over an hour and a half for their food, one meal came out cold and rubbery and the other plate came 15 minutes later. They also had no silverware / table provisions, but I guess who needs that sh*t for a waffle and omelette? We were all looking around for the hidden cameras, it was that ridiculous.
The staff was more interested in giving excuses than apologizing or attempting to correct their errors. Never again. Save yourself the dining nightmare of The Spot and patiently wait in line at ANY OTHER brunch spot in the area. -

Whatever, apparently people hate this place. I don't give a shit. This place is fucking awesome. The omelette was OK but the waitresses for brunch were awesome and sassy and they were playing nothing but freestyle on the speakers. I'm sorry, but Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam and Shannon over bottomless mimosas is the ultimate in awesome brunchery. Maybe y'all are bougie and have high standards but this was all around a pretty sweet spot. Would go to again. A++ recommend. Fast shipping.

Oh, The Spot.
Listen. I was really excited in the beginning. I live around the corner, and with the wait at my fave brunch spot, Cafe Shane, becoming longer and longer for Sat/Sun brunch, I hoped for a nice alternative.
There were some positive experiences:
The first time my girlfriend and I walked by, it was around midnight, the place had just opened, and they were inviting people in off the street for complimentary white sangria, which was DELICIOUS. We chatted up some other flashy nabe folks who had indulged in a lot of the stuff already, and had a great time. We didn't try any food.
Had breakfast there a week afterward, and it was fair to middling. 11.95 brunch gets you unlimited mimosas (which I'm pretty sure is made from Sunny D), coffee and a meal. I got an omelet, which comes with a small side salad and potatoes. It was fine, nothing to write home about. The service staff seemed a little overwhelmed, even though there were only about 5 or so tables. The meal would have been 3x better at Cafe Shane just two blocks away and around the same price.
That was two months ago. You'd think that they'd work out any kinks during that time, but I'm sorry to report that not only has service maintained a sort of clueless, "wait, what?" energy (though friendly, definitely friendly), but the food is now, well, just bad.
There were a number of problems with our last visit. But the worst offense to report is that my friend ordered an omelet with sausage, and instead got hamburger meat. That's right, hamburger. And when we reported it to the waitress, she came back to say that the "chef" had said it that was sausage, that we were wrong. Um. No. Put some ketchup on it and you're eating a burger. In your omelet. Finally, a manager arrived and we let him know that his "chef" was pathetically trying to pass off tasteless, unseasoned ground chuck as sausage and lying about it. He confirmed that it wasn't sausage and comped our meal. Which is the only thing to do in the situation, but WTF? What was that cook doing back there? It makes us wonder what other substitutes are going into our food.
I really wanted to support The Spot as a brunch option (can't report on the dinners). But in a neighborhood where more and more restaurants are opening up by people who live in the area and make damn good food (Bristen's, Shane, Cheryl's Global Soul), I just can't afford to. -

I used to loooove the spot.
My friends and I used to go there for brunch often and enjoyed the unlimited mimosa and great food for $13!
Then, something changed....
Once we went there, and our food did not come for over 2hrs.
We were so into conversations that we did not realized for a while, but some other customers there started to look at us like "what's happening? Why aren't you guys eating yet".
When we asked, the response was some typical excuse and they are coming right up notice.
When they finally arrived, everybody including people came way after us at the restaurant were done eating.
The following time, the same thing happened. It was just me at the table didn't get my food.
2, 3 months later, we got a delivery. We were missing an entree and a side dish.
I called right away, but they said they can't make anything because they closed the kitchen.
I am done with the spot.
Never again. -

The sign outside was enticing: an 11.95 brunch special with unlimited mimosas. The parties seated outside were smiling and the food in front of them looked downright tasty.
But oh what false hopes. After eating here I have to say this is by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. My friend and I were perhaps a bit cranky and hung-over, so we held that in mind, and tried, oh really we tried, our best to be patient.
First, our waitress ignored us for about 15 solid minutes. The place was not crowded but she kept running back and forth from the bar to the kitchen to a table of five outside who seemed to be requesting an endless streaming supply of food and booze. Finally, a gentleman who clearly was not a server took our order. How sweet, we thought. Someone cares. 20 minutes later we still had no food, and NO COFFEE. Isn't coffee meant as filler to help appease and soothe customers during busy brunches? I finally managed to flag down our waitress and ask for the coffee and fries we had ordered. She brought me a weak, luke-warm mug of coffee, and a small saucer of milk dotted with several clumps of lint. My friend spoke up for me and she brought us a replacement, without so much as an apology.
The whole experience was just bizarre....At one point she explained that the gentleman who had taken our order was "the boss" and therefore, really didn't know how to "take orders". In the meantime, we watched "the boss" get yelled at by another waitress, and take a large black bag of trash out through the dining area and onto the street.
The food was barely decent and our eggs were drenched in butter. After the anguish and exhaustion of the whole hideous ordeal, they didn't even get our bill right. And, whereas it was impossible to get the waitress's attention for our entire meal, as soon as my friend took out her debit card she zipped up to our table and nearly snatched it out of her hand.
In short, weak service, weaker coffee, and a shamefully buttery botched brunch. Save yourself the agony and head to choice for a latte and some pastries. Which is exactly what we did after. -
Review from Evan G.
Brunch RULES. Steak and eggs is terrific, and the mimosas plentiful. Great staff, and the $12.95 brunch price (with unlimited coffee, tea, juice, and/or mimosa) is unbeatable. Lots of brunch menu items look great, and I had a hard time choosing, but I saw one guy get something that looked like a pile of meat, and I said to the server "I want the pile of meat." She said "You got it!" (It was the steak and eggs).
Can't wait to go back for dinner sometime. AWWRROOOOFFF! -

This is my go-to place for brunch. I've been frequenting here often on Sundays for the past 2 years. The owner and waitresses are friendly and really accommodating.
I've visited when it's been really slow and quite and when it is crazy packed ( like today). You can't go wrong with the unlimited mimosas however the food isn't particularly great. The ambiance, friendly staff and bottomless mimosas make up for that though. -

Had a decent menu and the prices weren't outrageous. The food was pretty good. I'm not much of a brunch boozer but my girlfriend loves mimosas. I think next time I'll just get a coffee though. The mimosas were all right.
I ordered off the summer menu and had cream cheese stuffed french toast with whipped cream and strawberries. She had a chicken and avocado panini. I think the best thing on either of our plates were here french fries, though. I love the way they season them.
The staff was nice, it wasn't too crowded. It was pretty good. -

I am so happy this place arrived - a new addition to the cusp neighborhood between Crown Heights and Prospect Heights with a kind of bohemian cafe kind of flair in their balance of latin and italian cuisine.
And I'm astonished that no one has mentioned just how fair the pricing is here! How can a restaurant even afford to open during a recession and still offer affordable pricing a good meals? Listen, all mistakes and imperfections aside, yo, where else are you really gonna get semi-gourmet dining at these prices around here, let alone around town?
I have really high hopes for the The Spot since it has just about all the components of what it takes to make me a regular at a neighborhood place: their menu is really appetizing while being cheaper than a lot of diners even though it isn't a diner, the food is decently done, and the ambiance is that of a very very low-key bistro, without being blazay. I am most appreciative of the way it seems to accentuate and compliment the existing neighborhood cultural mix and aesthetics; it's not the type of place that only hipsters will frequent. Being a more approachable place, its easier for ALL neighborhood folk to partake of this unpretentious, cute little neighborhood eatery that offers well-crafted, fresh italian-influenced basics without sacrificing quality. at a steal.
Sat outside for ages after work the other day - all I had was the tomato/basil/mozzarella salad which was lovely for $7, and the 3 cheese bruschetta, which I found both filling and tasty and cheap at only $5.50! The service was way spotty - the servers are high school kids on summer break, and are obviously brand new to the business - but they did make an effort, and although mistakes did happen, at those prices I am easy like Sunday morning! The best part is that they take credit cards and have an extra affordable happy hour involving pretty little sangria concoctions, too. Also I saw an ad that said unlimited mimosas at brunch! what??? I am SO with this place. -

I live on Franklin and have been desperately searching for a decent brunch spot with unlimited mimosas. The Vanderbilt is too Yuppie-mom-and-dad for me and the one on washington (forgot the name) is always too packed. They had the mimosas but everything else sucked. The waiters seemed like they had never waited before. The 'Steak' in my steak and Eggs could have come from Taco Bell. I guess I will have to venture to the slope for a decent brunch...

The misleading 5 star ratings are ooobviously written by employees and/or people who have some sort of symbiotic relationship with this sad little place.
After considering the staggering wait times at Beast and Cheryl's, we decided to give it another go for brunch.
I won't go into detail as I did with my last review, but I will say this: Brunch is definitely NOT "bangin."1 Previous Review: Show all »

The Spot's best feature is the Unlimited Mimosa Brunch they offer on Sunday mornings for around $13. If you take advantage of this, use caution, as the wait staff will not let you leave sober.
Other than that, The Spot is usually a dissapointment (and clearly I am not the only one who thinks so as the restaurant is usually empty). Their food is OK, but whether you are sitting down for a meal--and especially if you ordered delivery--you will be waiting a long time for your food to show up.
Stick to the basics at The Spot (crab cakes, buffalo wings, The Spicy Spot Burger) and use caution when ordering the more adventurous menu items--and don't order for delivery unless you want to wait an hour for cold food to show up. -

I've eaten brunch here as well as ordered out brunch, burgers and appetizers several times. The food is generally pretty good, the fries in particular are pretty awesome- they have a yummy seasoning on them and aren't just regular old fried potato sticks. The bruschetta is another winner in my opinion. The staff is friendly but could be more attentive than they are, so I prefer to order out the food than sit in. As someone Lea C. mentions in her review, the unlimited mimosa brunch is a good deal. All in all, this place is OK. If you're going to eat out, you could probably find something better. But if you're looking for a good burger to order in, this is a great choice.
