If you haven't been to Glendale's historic district, you should really check it out. It's filled with shops, antique stores and restaurants, many of which are still in their original building. And when I say original, I'm talking the late 1800's.
It's a really fun way to spend an afternoon because there is a lot to see, do and eat when you're there. The Spicery is especially cool because it's the oldest spot in the historic district.
It's located in a restored 1895 home and each room has been transformed into a quaint dining room. The decor has been done in a Victorian style and the menu consists of sandwiches, salads, desserts and amazing cinnamon rolls.
Keep in mind that this is not a place (most) guys will enjoy. My brother and cousin had to be dragged here kicking and screaming and neither enjoyed the experience. The girls however, loved it and many 'how cute's!' were exclaimed.
