I had an amazing spa day. It was a last minute opening I called to see if they had any cancellations and I got lucky!
Arrive early or plan to stay after your service because the amenities are open and available to use for non members.
Hot tubs, pools, steam rooms, a dry sauna, showers and lounging areas with coffee and teas. Spacious locker rooms with lockers you can customize your own code.
Locker room attendants are very nice and quick to help you.
Lounging by the pool and eating lunch is my favorite part. So I definitely give myself time to enjoy lunch and a drink. Even on winter days it was nice to just hang out by the pool in a provided robe and towel. The servers were quick and very friendly. Nice conversations and the food arrived quickly.
I always order the spinach and arugula salad with chicken , it has strawberries candied pecans
Black berries,Red Onions ,Goat Cheese,House Made Berry Vinaigrette. It's so refreshing and just a good salad.
I did a 60 min massage and I felt like I left the plant. I believe her name was Alexis. It was so relaxing and she was very nice and the small conversation we had was very pleasant.
The only and I mean ONLY negative thing I have to say and the reason for the 4 star rating, is the shower heads seemed dated or need a deep clean. It appeared to have some lime buildup. I know it's something small and wasn't a deal breaker because I'd still go back. However that nice of a spa should be kept to a higher standard.
Call and book early, they fill up their schedules fast. You could also try your luck and see if any openings are available like I did.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 13, 2024
Thad the most perfect Spa Day. High expectations and got exactly what I needed and wanted. Staff is incredible - from the front desk, lounge attendants, therapist, pool staff. Impeccable. BLT was filling and stuffed with bacon - delish. My massage therapist was amazing-- Ben. He worked out all the little knots in my neck and shoulders I didn't realize existed. Pure bliss.

I did not realize it had been so long since I reviewed the spa. I love it here. One of my friends introduced me to this place over 30 years ago and we have made it a "go to girls"place since then.
I will warn you to call and book months before your preferred date. They book up months in advance. I get my treatments booked as soon as they open the books.
The spa is huge. You have access to an outdoor pool area, dining poolside as well as inside, a jacuzzi, a steam room, a nice lounging area, showers, lockers, etc.
I love Amanda for my massages and Susan (been there 25 years) is a facial magician! These ladies are awesome!
The food and drinks are really good too. This is a private member / hotel guest only resort but you can book the spa even if you are not a member or hotel guest.
And it smells wonderful in there!
Check them out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 15, 2019Previous reviewIt had been some time since I visited the Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and I was excited when the hubby gifted me with an afternoon to enjoy myself.
Cons-I did not realize that their weekend appointments (Friday-Saturday) book so far in advance and struggled to find a time that worked for me within a four to five week span. That was disappointing. I also wanted to enjoy lunch and some wine along with the massage and that was not an option based on the availability for massage timing and lunch without spending four or more hours there.
It was a terribly stormy afternoon when I arrived and it seemed very hectic. I did not feel like I was given a full tour and introduction to the facility. My technician was late coming to get me for my treatment, so that was a disappointment.
I also will admit that I was not crazy about the massage I had. The technician did some strange movements that I have never experienced before and I have been getting massages for over 30 years.
Pros- The spa is beautiful! Their renovations are simply stunning and so relaxing given the perfect weather. You can take advantage of the pool, the sauna, the lounging area, and the cafe on a perfect day. And I suggest you do that, if you can.
I will absolutely go again and hope for a much better experience. I have such fond memories of past visits that I am sure this one was a one off. - Jun 7, 2022
It takes months to get an appointment but it's worth it if you can plan that far ahead of time. (I booked my appointment 3 months in advance for a Monday afternoon service.)
I'll get right to the point..... If you are like my sister, you might feel a little intimidated about making an appointment at "Ponte Vedra": but you shouldn't. The spa is an independent building: not physically connected to the club. Good parking The staff aren't stuffy and every shape and size of clientele partakes in the amenities. 2. So far I have been beyond impressed with every service. The 90 minute massage is my favorite. 3. Get there before or stay after your service and make sure you enjoy the pool, hot tub, lunch, and drinks. 4. The lunch is delicious. I am partial to their BLT and avocado along with the strawberry, kiwi mojito. 5. The outdoor pool has a great layout. There are pocket areas in the pool where you can hang out and talk with friends without being heard by others. The many fountains and bubbly areas drown out sound and help promote a relaxing feeling.
Downside: The actual quiet room is disappointing. It's literally just a room off the main walking area separated by a curtain. Other spas I've visited: have a layout that is darker, quieter, with various seating and places to lay down. This "quiet area" is a glorified waiting room. I went on a day where we could sit by the pool. It is true that if the outdoor pool is closed due to weather, your spa experience will be less enjoyable.
If you want a quick framework of pricing. Hope this helps. I paid $377.00 for my day. 90 minute massage- $255.00 Sandwich- $22.00 2 drinks - $30.00 Service charge/ Tip is included - $66.50 then tax and whaaalaaa.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Alarie S.Atlanta, GA11710Feb 16, 2022
I received service at this spa for my birthday. I was so excited, but it rained. I realized then, the biggest selling point of this spa is the outside pool area. If you are stuck inside, the allure goes down significantly.
Typical to Florida, the indoor area had wicker furniture with palm trees and pale blue coloring. There were no lounge chairs, only sofas and individual chairs. The jacuzzi was small, so only 4 people are allowed with covid restrictions. There's really no suitable place to close your eyes and lounge inside the facility.
The massage was excellent. My masseuse left me almost in a coma he did such a great job. The food was also top tier. I had the teriyaki salmon bowl, and a mimosa that were both delicious. The food, drinks, and massage were 5/5. I was just seriously disappointed with the lack of updates to the common areas and general facilities.
I was also a bit disappointed because my cousin provided their credit card info over the phone to pay for my services. However, they didn't mention this at all during my checkout process so I had to pay, and then my cousin reimbursed me. That kind of defeated the purpose a bit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Aug 12, 2022
Fair warning, this was my first time at a spa but I had an amazing experience here! Every member of the staff I encountered was very kind and made sure we were having a wonderful time. My masseuse was great and even extended our time since I needed to use the restroom at the beginning. The spa was beautiful and peaceful in every room- from where we waited, the hot tub, lounging by the pool and in the pool. The robes are soo comfy and the shoes are very good quality. I like that they offer water bottles everywhere you go. The meat and cheese plate next to the pool was delicious!

This place deserves a 10 stars!!!! One morning I woke up and decided I needed a spa, since being new to the area I don't have any idea where to go and knowing myself I just don't want to go somewhere that is not worth my money and of course I want to treat myself because it was my birthday. So a week prior my birthday I booked myself a spa!
I have never been in Ponte Vedra but when I was driving going to the place I was very impressed!! I felt like I was in Waldorf at Boca Raton, this place is huge and the entrance going to the spa was phenomenal! When you first enter the spa you will be greeted with the friendliest employees and then they will check you in. It was my first time so I know I have to be there a little bit early to explore the area. After checking in someone will tour you around their vicinity. They have locker room, shower room, quiet room, jacuzzi and my favorite, outdoor pool.
The spa! One of the best I ever had! Hands down to Reagan my masseuse, she is the best!!!! Very little conversation because she knows I want to relax, they also make you choose what type of oil you would like to use with your massage, I chose oolong which smells very relaxing. I didn't want the massage to end but unfortunately it did but I felt very relaxed after!
After the spa you can just hang out at the pool and have a lunch, a drink or two lol. I had my lunch here and a drink, pina colada was so good that I can compare it when we went to Mexico!
But all in all, my experience here is phenomenal! The price that I pay was so worth it! I don't even have to worry about bringing your card because they will just charge everything on the card that you use when you did your appointment. The staff here is amazing!!!!! They are very friendly and on point! If I can go back here every week I would. But at least now I know I have a place to go when I feel like I need a little pampering. I definitely highly recommend this place!Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - Laura V.Manhattan, NY0105Apr 12, 2023
I had an appointment set up weeks in advance just to be told at my arrival that a big group came in and all prior appointments were rescheduled. I was not told in advance, I was not given an option for a new appointment date , and I was not offered any discount for my trouble and for the new , inconvenient appointment. Very bad management!

I came here for a relaxing spa day and much needed massage, but left slightly disappointed by the overall experience.
If this is your first time at this spa, you will be given a very short, awkward tour of the facility and let loose the explore the premises on your own. The female lounge area consists of a locker room, showers, vanity area, a little room with some seats that claims a fancy title of a meditation room, a tiny hot tub that fits no more than two average sized people, and a steam room. The back exit leads to the pool outside.
As you wait for your scheduled massage or service, you are asked to wait in the waiting area, which has shockingly limited reading materials - a golf magazine, a magazine of featured local high school athletes, and a local newspaper. If I had to guess, I'd say that females frequent this establishment more than males, and those are not exactly what most females I know would be interested in reading. I was really surprised by this selection, especially with signs plastered everywhere forbidding cell phones and electronic devices.
Now as for the massage, I went with the Signature 50-minute massage and found it more mediocre than signature in any way. For $150, I would hope to walk out feeling fully relaxed and rejuvenated, but I left barely able to tell I just had a massage. The whole thing felt rushed, weak, and not on par with the specific requests I made prior to the masseuse starting.
Towards the end of my visit, I hoped to get a glass of wine and a light meal in the dining area. I got dressed, walked out, and sat down in the empty dining room. After 5 minutes, a server came out to inform me that the dining room just closed, but I might still be able order something out by the pool. The spa was still going to be open for another hour and a half so this didn't make much sense. Back out to the pool I went, ordering a blackberry mule, which was honestly perfect, especially since I requested the bartender to omit the simple syrup. I also ordered the $15 shrimp cocktail - crunch the numbers here, that's 5 shrimp, 2 lemon wedges, and a straight out of a bottle tasting cocktail sauce. $3 per shrimp with zero presentation is tough to justify. Also, it was brought out by the same server that kicked me out of the dining room. Awkward.
So to summarize my overall opinion of this experience, the price tag is not worth the service and quality I received. There are spas well worth even higher price, but this is not it. The pool reminded me of something you would see attached to an apartment complex, and the service is undeserving of the 20% tip automatically applied to your bill total. If I came here on a chilly or rainy day when I wouldn't have been able to use the outdoors pool or bar, this experience would have been an even greater letdown. I simply expected more.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Katie K.Jacksonville, FL5979199Mar 3, 2020
To access the spa, you are required to have a service scheduled. As my sister was getting a massage for her birthday, she wanted us to meet her for lunch by the pool.
You can purchase a daily pass, but this is pretty expensive if you only plan to eat and don't have time to enjoy using any of the amenities. Luckily they were kind enough to let us dine with her without paying the additional daily fee. We were even able to sit poolside for an hour after lunch and relax.
The poolside dining was delicious - I had a spa salad and added yummy salmon. I'd love to come back for a massage or facial some day.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0
