One of C.S. Lewis' most hilarious novels, this story traces the work of an apprentice Tempter through the letters his Uncle Screwtape sends him to coach him.  Of course, the junior Tempter is always screwing things up.  It is a brilliant way for Lewis to express his worldview, through the eyes of a Devil who completely disagrees with it....
