Amazing. Amazing. Amazing!

The staff here is so friendly and they know so much about running. The other sporting goods stores have nothing on Running Revolution.

My foot arch was examined along with how I walked. I've never had foot problems so I thought I'd be pretty normal. Lauren brought out 3 pairs of shoes for me to try, hard to soft.  I was able to walk/jog around outside to try them out, finally deciding on the Nike Pegasus 26.  We were even offered pizza from Sal's next door! :-)

I'd planned on coming by here for a while, but was afraid because I'm not a superior runner. After shopping here I didn't feel intimidated at all!  I ran 4.5 miles in my new shoes today!

Their prices were roughly the SAME as other stores, even online stores. They had running gloves for the same price as the sporting goods store.

I turn 30 today.

I'm proud to state this fact because although I'm chronologically 30, physically I feel like I'm 16 again. My health and spirit improved several months ago when I came into Running Revolution. I never thought I was capable of running... EVER. My feet always would cramp up after a few minutes on the treadmill, and for years I thought it was hopeless. However, I came into the store one day over the summer and was helped by Chris. After recording and analyzing the biomechanics of my running gait (basically how your foot strike the ground), he told me the problem wasn't my running ability, but the shoes I was wearing.

I was hesitant of accepting this fact at first, but after trying on three pairs of different shoes, I was placed in a pair of Nike Air Pegasus, perfect for my neutral pronation (the ideal and most efficient type of gait.) Chris informed me that runners wear shoes typically one size larger to allow for the feet to expand as there is increased blood circulation during exercise towards each foot. The extra room definitely helped with my feet cramping, and now I enjoy running on the treadmill and even outdoors, which I was never able to before.

Running Revolution is a quality store with great products and knowledge to help any type of runner perform their very best. I highly recommend doing the free gait analysis and consulting with the employees to see where you stand. Running has improved my health, and I'm grateful to the people at Running Revolution for their professionalism and service.

Do it the right way.... Highly recommend you come here if you're looking for a first, serious running shoe to make sure you buy the shoe that *FITS YOUR* foot.

It will make running so much easier if you've been trying to run on a generic shoe you picked up at Foot Locker that doesn't actually support you.

Oh, and Lauren is the best.

This place is awesome!!  I'm a personal trainer and I was REALLY impressed with them.  I worked with Tim and he was very knowledgeable and friendly.  I'm training for a marathon and he gave me tons of tips, he answered every question I had.   I couldn't be happier with my experience and I love my new shoes!

Just like all the other reviewers here, I was blown away with The Running Revolution.  I am just getting back into running and I have problem feet and was told to try this place, and am I glad I did.  My problem feet were greeted with an enthusiasm I could not have expected, and Tim was almost joyed to have a problem to solve. He had me stand on the fancy pressure visualization machine and asked me a few questions and told me he would have the right shoe, first try.

He came back out with a pair of Brooks shoes that fit like no other pair of shoes I have ever worn.  They felt great and Tim took a video of me running on the treadmill to show me how they corrected my flat feet and put my ankles in a good position.  I tried on a couple more pairs, but sure enough, the first pair were the best.

Running Revolution is an awesome place and very fairly priced for the service you get.  Running is nowhere nearly as painful as it was with other pairs of shoes I bought on my own.

Very highly recommended!

I'd give a thousand stars if the system let me!!!

I am an overweight, very slow-paced novice runner (14-15 minute mile, depending on the day).  The folks that run this store are serious, hard core runners.  They've always treated me like I've been running with them for years, and are patient with me when I have a million questions about this gel or that sock...

Truly wonderful place to get fitted for the right shoes, and for help with all your running questions.  They even help me find running events!

Awesome people, with a lot of useful information - given freely.

I really enjoyed shopping here. Although I have not purchased shoes, I am basing my review on the rest of the shop, and how it compares to the Runners Factory in Los Gatos.

The Good
If you are looking for treats/GU/energy snacks, RR has a much better selection. There are tons of brands and options to try. More than RF.

The Not-As Good:
The women's apparel is nicer (in my opinion) with more options at the Runners Factory. RR has some nice shorts and singlets, but RF has more things in my size.

On-Par:
The staff was very friendly at RR, and I appreciated the time spent and advice offered. Since RF is my primary store, I know the staff there better, but the RR were good people too.

Overall, I would come here for energy material. I wouldn't be opposed to looking for shoes in the future.

Great place!  Has always been helpful when I've need shoes for running (or my aspirations of running) and my annual participation in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.  And they give a discount when you participate in said event.

They do all of the fancy tests, treadmill monitoring, etc, to determine the right shoe for you.  They seem a little pricey but it helps having the discount.  And they have always given me great customer service.

I ran 4 miles on Thursday and my feet were hurting. I had a feeling that it had something to do with my shoes since it's been about 5 months from last new pair. July is usually the time for me when I get new running shoes, so I made another trip here.

They still had my shoe, Asics Gel Landreth, but I explained to the sales man that my left knee was somewhat sore and have been mixing up my runs on dirt and paved trails to lessen the impact. He made me walk across the room, so he can see my stride and then had me stand on the computerized pressure pad to see my foot arch. He told me that I'm wearing the right shoes and suggested another shoe for me to try on that provided more support, Asics GT-2140. With my knee soreness, I decided to get the Asics GT-2140 along with Fluid, a protein recovery drink after long runs, and a knee band to provide more stability for my left knee.

As a member of San Jose Fit, I got a 20% off discount on my shoes. I saved about $20.

I'm planning to come back here again in 2-3 months for a new pair!

This place is great! Was referred by a coworker to check out this place since I was in need of new running shoes. The girl that helped me was super helpful and let me try on a bunch of different types of shoes to see which one I was more comfortable with. They measure the arch of your foot to recommend the best type of shoes for your foot type. I never knew there was an art to running shoes! :)

I'd definitely come back here again next time I need some new running shoes!

I am not in-shape. In fact, I don't have a shape other than spherical. To give myself a little more shape, I have been working out like a fiend this past month. I have loved it, except one little detail...my shoes/feet. Everyday, when I am about 3/4 the way through my routine...my left foot starts to hurt. It's in a very particular spot and it hurts for the rest of the day. Maybe "hurt" is the wrong word.... aches is a better way of describing it.

At first, I chalked it up to the fact that my body wasn't used to this sort of exercise. Then I did a little internet research. I discovered that I am a supinator. That means that when I am running or walking, the bulk of my weight rolls to the lateral edge (outside edge) of my foot. The shoes I currently have aren't good for supporting my foot while exercising...hence the pain. So, what do I do when I need to find someone to help me? I go a-Yelping. I Yelped running shoes and found this wonderful store near me!

So, Hub and I went down there this morning to check it out. This is a Mecca for hard-core runners, and we walk in....overweight and no where near "fit". We stood around awhile and just watched the constant flow of runners and information. There was a treadmill for running so the staff could film you to see how your gait is. There was a machine that mapped out your ideal arch support...and surprisingly very few shoes. Finally, a man asks us if we have been helped...and thus began the most amazing shoe-buying experience of my life (and I love shoe shopping).

First, he asked me why I wanted to buy new shoes. I explained, and he nodded. He asked several times about any injuries or pain I may have. I explained, and he nodded. Then he asked me to walk for him. He just watched my feet. After I sat down he told me he had two shoes in mind for me.

The first pair he brought out were not attractive...very old-lady shoes, but they were comfortable. He explained about what kind of support my supinating feet needed and why these may work. Before I stood up, he told me how they should feel. When I walked in them, they felt like they were slipping in the heel...he showed me a "secret" runner's tie-up for the shoe laces to stop the slipping. Then he brought me out the second pair...much more attractive, but not as comfortable. The whole time he had me "go outside" and "try them out". So, I walked out of the store, ran down the sidewalk for a while.

When I came back from my "test run", he asked me all sorts of questions about how they felt and did anything feel "off". He asked me about the socks I normally wear, and made suggestions (in a very non-salesmen like way).

And in these economic times, I should mention the price...totally reasonable! Much better than most department stores.

About 40 minutes later I walked out with the less-attractive, more-comfortable shoes and a smile on my face. It was the best shopping experience I have had since I bought my wedding dress.

Really, these people are amazing.

Second time coming here for running shoes. Place was excellent!

I came there and immediately upon walking in the door, guy asked me, "Welcome to The Running Revolution, how may I help you?"

I told him this was my second time coming in, and the shoes I bought last time were excellent and wanted a similar shoe.

He walked behind the counter, did some typing and voila! my records were still there and he immediately went to the back to grab the "prototype" colors and the new updated versions of the GTS brooks running shoes.

Got a 20% military discount, and walked out of there within 10 minutes. I love this place!

I finished my first marathon in my New Balances that I bought on sale at DSW two years ago.  I know...about time for new shoes, huh?  So I figured I'd actually go get appropriately fitted for shoes, and WOW, what a difference.  My arches are different between the left and right foots (feet?), and I the front part of my feet are wide while the back are quite narrow.  (My husband chuckled and called me a duck at this point....great.)

They had me try on different pairs, and surprisingly, a pair of Nike's were my final choice.  I always figured NB's would be the best for wider feet, but he explained to me the ins-and-outs of the NIke's and why they worked best for me feet.

Added bonuses are that they'll let you try out  the shoes on pavement and their treadmill.  When you run on the treamdmill, they'll film you as you run.  They replay it in slow-motion to determine if the shoes are providing the correct support or not.

Thank you, Running Revolution!  I can't wait to train for another marathon in my new shoes!

I run.

I am not a traditional runner.

I still drink beer and gorge on junk food.

I will never take running seriously.

I give really bad advice to anyone who wants to start running.

I will still beat any of my friends who take running seriously.

On a hangover.

I went to this store once and was overwhelmed.

They have really knowledgeable staff and a lot of gear and stuff you need for completing those long distance runs. It is also very close to a popular running trail, along that creek in Campbell.

I was just weirded out by the really tall bearded dude, who was really supposed to be some hairy mo-fo, but had on the shortest shorts and clearly had shaven his legs.

Weird. Really weird.

The staff is serious, and so are the customers.

So, if you, unlike me, are serious about running, come here.

Or, if you want to prove to your friends that you are a real runner, come here.

They have everything you need.

You can even get fitted to get the right shoe.

What I would do, is get fitted to find out what shoe "best fits," then say I will come back later. Then I would look locally and on the internet for the same exact shoe at a cheaper price.

You win.

Props to the wise and experienced staff.

Props to the efficient way they deal with the constant flux of customers on a weekend.

The guys here are SO helpful and knowledgeable.  I started running just over a year ago and thought it was finally time to get some real running shoes, not ones that just look good (yah you know what I mean).  I have pretty flat arches and they would always start to cramp/ache after 3-4 miles.

They had me hop on their magical foot analyzer thing and sure enough, flat arches.  Afterwards they had me walk around to observe my stride and checked out my current running shoes to pick up on any pronation and running patterns.

I definitely learned a few things and walked away with a pair of new comfy Asics.  The only reason for the missing 5th star is because they strongly recommended 2 sizes up from my current running shoe.  I could understand 1 size up, but 2??  I will fully agree that my 6.5s were too small since I ended up with purple toes after running a 12K, but the 8.5 was pretty ridiculous.  After convincing them to bring me down to a size 8, I ran 2 miles with them and experienced extremely tired legs and feet and shin splints.  I never get shin splints or tired feet so fast.  I exchanged them for a 7.5 and all is good and happy.

Now that I found MY shoe, THE shoe, I'd prob just keep buying the same shoe from elsewhere.  Price wise, they don't offer much discount here.

Great experience! I've been getting bad shin splints for the last few weeks. I increased my mileage to about 5 miles per session and was also running some incline, so I guess I was asking for it. Nevertheless, I knew I needed a shoe that was right for my feet.

I came in yesterday around 3pm. I was quickly greeted and got started with the analysis of my stride. They put you on a pad which measures your arch. This gives them an idea of the kind of support your shoe needs. Once the analysis is completed, a variety of shoes fitting the criteria are brought out to be tried on.

It took me about 4-5 pairs before I found the shoe that was best. I'm very pleased with the service here and I highly recommend this store to anyone serious about running.

It is no easy feat trying to fit a hippo in running shoes.... But these guys know what they are doing!

I am chubz and half.  I certainly pack on the "el beez" (thats "lbs" for you folks that arent down with the strizeet slang...and it's "strizeet" with a "z" bc I am closer to the streetz....zzzz!)  So for me to walk my lard ass into a store devoted to running, and watching those skinny ass women and guys with thier lance armstrong like thighs and rail thing phsyiques walk in and out of the store with their fancy shoes, state of the art running sunglasses coated with fancy speed inducing UV ray deflecting goo and high speed spandex undies....well its intimidating.

But the guys here are really amazing.  Tim sat me down...examined my feet and even videotaped them to see how my feet were positioned when I "run"  (I use the term "run" loosely)

I even had a problem with my shoes and after 3 weeks of using them, I went to discuss if it was me or shoe and he offered to swap them out for something else... Awesome-o!  I am now fitted with awesome shoes that dont hurt my feet so i can run all day long now without the immense weight of my gut crushing and pouding on my little snausage toes.  THANKS GUYS!

And the best part about this place is that it is located next door to Jalisco's Mexican food....  wait wha-? who said that?

Customer Service! I first came to Running Revolution about 5 years ago when I hated running.  How far do you run? How often? Where? Any injuries? C'mon are you kidding?  What happened to putting your foot on the cold measuring device, looking for your size and pulling the box off the shelf only to find out there's only one shoe in the last box.  These guys, the family, run an excellent service.  No more shopping for color and name.  It's all about how you use your shoes and what support your feet need.  Don't be shy, this place serves em all from novice to pro.  Gotta run now.

I finally had to break down and buy new workout shoes. I could feel mine weren't as cushy as they once were, and my feet were starting to hurt.

Since I spend over an hour in them daily, I decided I'd actually go in and get fitted, and find out what shoe was best for me.

The people working there were really helpful, and didn't just suggest the most expensive shoes. The man who waited on me videotaped me running to see how my feet looked, and where the pressure on them was. I'd never had this done, and it was kind of interesting.

I definitely spent more than I ever have on shoes, but I've never had the service they give either.

This place is really close to my house, and I'll probably go back next time I need new workout shoes.

Yeah.  I'm not what you would call a "natural runner."  But, and this is an important but, I'm trying to run.  More.  Some.  At all.  Baby steps.

I tried jogging on my gym's treadmills wearing my everyday cross-trainers.  Bad idea.  Left hammy tight.  Shins hurting.  Is my neck tight or am I having a stroke?  Am I dying?  Wait, how do you turn this on?

Naturally, the problem could not be me....  So what was it?

It's gotta be the shoes.

I needed a fine pair of running shoes.  So, I typed in "running shoes" in Yelp south bay and this was the place that came up.  It's almost too easy.

You'll find Tim here to be very helpful.  I explained to him that running and I did not get along much (he was understanding).  So he had me stand on this device that took fancy images of my footprints.  Damn, my feet are even pretty in Technicolor 2D.  From the images, we determined that I was in fact not meant to run at all, but rather to have other, smaller, people run in my name!  Kidding.

Anyways, long story short, we worked together and I tried on several pairs of running shoes.

I found a pair I liked.

Tim even made me run 20 seconds on the treadmill they have to test it out.

I'll never forgive him.

It's that time of the year again. Shortly after new year and suddenly the gym's packed and everyone is getting their sweat on. There's no better time to visit the running revolution if you vowed to be healthier this year as well. I highly recommend this store to anyone who wants to work out comfortably, from occasional gym rat to hardcore runners.

I first learned about the running revolution from my fitness trainer's marathon runner client, she gave raving reviews about the knowledgeable staff who are runners themselves. And now I'm a fan myself since my first visit and was custom fitted for two pairs of running shoes that fit around my problematic wide feet- oh how my happy feet loved me back with better performance! I couldn't imagine purchasing my running shoes any other way going forward.

I've been quite the gym rat for the past couple years. One of my buddies has always chastised me about how California has some of the best weather in the world. At some point, I've gotten bored and annoyed by the cardio machines since they really do remind me of hamster wheels.

As all the other Yelp users have talked about, the staff there put their customers on machines to evaluate what kind of feet you have. The people working there really are passionate with running which is hard to find. (i.e. people working in the fitness industry who do not truly believe in it.) While Chris noted that neutral shoes seemed to be the way to go for me, he also noted after seeing the pressure scan that I had a tendency to rely on my right foot a little more. From there, he chose out three shoes: Asics (forgot the name of the shoe), Nike Pegasus and Nike Zoom.

I ended up choosing the Nike Pegasus, but they didn't have the size I needed :(. I'll be happily waiting for my shoes since the store lived up to their reputation.

Great place to get fitted for the perfect pair of running shoes.

When I first started jogging, my arch hurt because I was wearing the wrong shoes. A friend of mine suggested I go here and it was the best decision I ever made.

The staff is professional and they really know what they are talking about when it comes to a good running shoe. They did an assesment on my foot to determine where I put the most pressure on my foot. ("Pronate?") Then, he recommended a few shoes to me and I tried them, and felt instant comfort. I learned a few things too about a good shoe but I won't share them here because I want you to go in and check it out for yourself!!

First of all I am no athlete. I barely even work out...I hate it actually. But I'm hoping all that changes soon. My friend Stacy S. decided to try and amp us all up about running a half marathon. At first I wanted to give her a big EFF you. hahaa but then the more she got excited about it, the more I thought about it and something began to stir inside me. So before I knew it I was in Running Revolution.

The minute I walked in the door Chris was extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. They have a cool machine which will tell you how the arch of your foot is or if you are flat footed. He then brought out 4 or 5 different shoes for me to try then got me on the ol' treadmill to give em a spin. With the video camera he was able to tell how my foot lands and if I needed as shoe with more support on the inside, outside or what. Kinda cool.

So I left with a comfy pair of running shoes...which since i like to shop helps me get excited about doing something new. Pray for me people...I am so not a runner but maybe by the end of all this I will be =)

I've heard a lot about them based on Yelp, and a few folks from my running group. I already have a preferred running store but I wanted to try something different and besides I had a discount coupon from RR.  I went there with great expectations around 4:30 on a Sunday - they close at 5.

I don't know the name of the guy in the store but as soon as we walked in, he asked me if I wanted to get myself fitted and I said yes. He then told me that it wasn't possible then for whatever reason. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't matter , but he was extremely rude about it. I asked him a second time since there were only 2 customers in the store and I did come 1/2 before, and this time he was extra rude in saying no. There was not even a sorry sir, please come back tomorrow. It was just a plain no.

Maybe, it was the end of the day for him, or maybe it was an "elite running store" guy speak, but as a customer it was downright unacceptable. C'mon, the least you can do is be friendly.

I'm never coming here again, I'll stick to my running store in Menlo Park.

I'm glad that it's worked out for most of you here. They may have the best fitting process but their attitude just didn't vibe with me.

My visit to The Running Revolution solidified just how unapologetically shallow I am. My sister agreed to buy me new running shoes for my upcoming birthday and decided to have me fitted here after she had received excellent customer service during her last visit.  We were serviced (giggety giggety!) by a strapping young dark-haired lad named Chris who not only dispensed accurate advice, but sent my poor lashes fluttering like a coked-out Scarlett O'Hara when he sauntered over to ask if we needed any help.

He had me try on multiple shoes and do side-by-side comparisons while running outside.  He also filmed my stride while I ran on the treadmill, but since I kept running on the balls of my feet, he ended up filming me running outdoors to have a better idea of my actual gait.  In fact, he had to film me an additional time because of a camera malfunction.  Essentially, he helped both my sister and me find the most perfectly comfortable bitchin' shoes for our feet and we're pleased as hell.  On top of that, since their printer was broken and my sister had requested an itemized receipt, he actually wrote out each individual product complete with our respective name by each one.

Ok, you know what?  Eff this.  I can't even write this review properly, and by "properly," I mean somewhat snarkily because I'm still far too occupied trying to quiet my trembling loins for this dude.  I was so ri-goddamn-diculously transfixed by Mr. Studly McYummyBritches that I could barely tell the difference between any of the shoes I slapped on and basically picked my final pair because of the pretty colors.  I'm sure that he must be fairly accustomed to getting ogled like a Twinkie at a fat camp, but I was this close to humping his leg like an oversexed Chihuahua, arch-supportive shoes or not.  Hell, I bet he's hunted by Campbell cougars like a limping gazelle in the serengeti...dude, like a taut, lean, piercing eye-balled, delicious limping gazelle.

Poor Chris.  I'm sure he'll rue the day when he equipped me with the best shoes to stalk his ass.  As such, I give you fair warning, dude: if some fleet-footed Asian broad with a badonkadonk butt drops by to purchase her 36th pair of socks within two days, you won't be able to outrun her lust -- particularly if you happen to slip in her puddle of...ahem...love.

I've been running for a year and a half. I am a complete newbie! I was feeling arch pain when running in my $30 Big 5 shoes so I went to The Running Revolution for a fitting and some expert advice. Note when I say "expert", I realize that the guys at RR are salesmen and not doctors.

The salespeople were very friendly and easy going. I explained my pain and my experience level and then we got down to business. I paced through the store a few times in order for them to analyze my step and then they brought out some candidates. I tried them all on but none fit perfectly. Being a relatively new runner, I didn't know that was a big deal.  I mentioned that none felt great but accepted that I probably wouldn't know what was best for me based on my skill level. They have a neat treadmill setup at the store but I guess my stride was obvious to the salesman so I didn't use it. I ended up purchasing a pair of Nikes that felt the "least uncomfortable" for about $100 with hopes that they would wear in and feel great.

After running for a few weeks, I concluded the new shoes were no better than my old $30 pair; I was still in pain. After doing some more research about high arch-friendly shoes, I went to the New Balance outlet in Gilroy and got some shoes that felt much better for about $50.

To be fair, even then I was not satisfied and ended up seeing a podiatrist. It turns out I do not have a normal step and this was obvious to a real trained professional after about 30 seconds of examination! Since putting custom orthotics in my shoes, I have doubled my regular running distance and am finally pain free.

So, two stars. Nice place for veteran runners who know what they want. I would recommend the store to others and I hope it is able to stay in business. Maybe they were just busy or lazy on the day I stopped in. Bottom line: My visit to The Running Revolution was of no value, cost me $100 and ultimately delayed my training by about a month and a half.

In attempt to motivate myself to exercise, I joined San Jose Fit to train for a marathon. Chris from The Running Revolution gave a presentation on running shoes at one of our seminars. During his presentation, I kept eying the evil shoes I had on. The more I listened, the more convinced I was that the Mizuno Wave Rider and I were never compatible. I harbored secret disdain for them and they probably felt the same toward me yet we coexisted out of convenience. Although I was diagnosed as neutral feet at Sports Basement more than a year ago, my joints always ached after runs in these shoes designed for neutral feet.

I walked into The Running Revolution at 6:20 p.m. Chris was helping  three customers. He looked overwhelmed and had to close store on time at 7:00 p.m. for his wife's birthing class. One guy came in after me and another couple came back to pick up their orders. Nevertheless, he managed to juggle all of us. He took his time to help a girl with various shoes issues and patiently filmed her runs after each pair of shoes she tried on (she had wide feet, over-pronated and needed special insoles). He determined I had a low arch (though not flat footed), therefore an over-pronator. He also filmed me running in the Mizunos. The footage of my poor ankles twisting like cooked spaghetti noodles was the most painful/embarrassing/dreadful 20 seconds that I would much rather forget. Horrible, horrible.

He suggested three pairs of shoes: Asics Gel (?), Saucony, and Nike Air Zoom Triax 11. The Asics were a world of difference compared to the Mizunos. I liked them immediately but felt a bit of reservation. They  didn't feel completely right. Saucony shoes made me supinate due to over-correction of pronation. The moment I tried on Nikes, I knew. The birds were chirping, the sun got brighter, the world was all together a better place.  We were meant to be together. They were so comfortable. Running in them was like running on thick, plush mattress yet they were so light.

As Chris put the Nikes in the box for purchase, I took a glance at my old shoes and found the thought of wearing them again unbearable. I ended up wearing the Nikes home. Best money I ever spent. To sweeten the deal, San Jose Fit members get a 15% (?) discount on all of the merchandise at The Running Revolution.

Thanks Chris, for taking your time to help your customers! I'm sorry that you missed your class. If it's any consolation, you've earned a loyal customer.

Things I learned from this experience:
1. There really is a moment of  "AHHH" when you try on the perfect running shoes!
2. If your shoes feel uncomfortable in any way, don't run in them. Your body knows better than you.
3. Always buy a size larger, I ended up with size 7.5 shoes when my street shoes are 6.5.
4. Watch yourself run in slow motion is a traumatic yet enlightening experience. A must do for newbies like me.
5. Shoes good for someone else may not be good for you. Some shoes may not look the best but if they fit the best, get them. Honestly, I didn't think I'd end up with Nikes due to the social/ethical issues associated with the company but they felt right on my feet and I had to listen to my body.

I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're looking to get running shoes. The service is excellent.

I came here to get fitted for new shoes, and after I walked back and forth, and they reviewed my arch, I received four pairs of shoes to experiment with. I ran outside with each pair. Then I compared my shoes by wearing one on each foot. After many runs and many pairings, I finally decided on my perfect match. This was the most thorough purchase that I've ever made, more so than my jeans or even my car. Because I spent so much time finding my perfect fit, I really feel a connection with my shoes. They are my new bffs.

Everyone there was very patient and friendly, and I had a GREAT experience finding my perfect fit. Now if I could only find my perfect fit with everything else, life would be perfecto!

I went to The Running Revolution yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.   My boyfriend wanted to find some running shoes.  Tim was very helpful and listened to what we were looking for.  He checked the weight distribution on his feet using a machine and watched the way my boyfriend ran on a treadmill.  He played the video back and we were able to see where he needed more support in a new shoe.

My boyfriend was able to find a new pair of running shoes he loves and I was able to find some inserts for my shoes.  If for any reason he isn't happy with his shoes, Tim told us that he could return them and find the pair that works better  (the same went for my inserts).  We left very satisfied.  I only wish that I came here instead of Runner's High before my relay race last weekend.   I would definitely recommend coming here for any running needs.

I came here today after seeing so many of my Yelp friends rave about it. I have been on the hunt for new gym shoes for some time but had no luck. I walked in and was immediately helped by a gentleman working there. He asked me what I was looking for and had me walk to the door and back I guess to see how I walk (Ha! Ha!) Then he had me stand on a machine to test out my arches and how much weight I stand on each leg. It was comforting to me to know that all the money I have been forking out on chiropractic adjustments has definitely helped my stance and scoliosis. He told me I stood almost evenly on both legs...cool! I do have high arches which I knew so he wanted to find me a shoe to help with that. The machine told me I wore a size 7 which is weird because I don't...so I told the man that and he brought me out shoes in my usual size of 6 and they fit great! I heard about people running on the treadmill but the guy never had me do that.

I looked at the wall and their selection looked pretty small but I was impressed with the 4 shoes he brought out for me to try. I loved all of them and wish I could have bought them all...or at least 2! Each fit my foot comfortably and supported my arches and cushioned enough that felt good.  I had such a hard time picking that I finally had to try them on all "blindly" and not think about the color or style but only the comfort and arch support. Funny...I chose the nerdiest ones out of all of them ;)...of course! Ha! Ha! But hey I am at an age where I need to think about the true purpose and not the image. So I bought them and love them! I might down the road buy another pair that I loved too but just didn't have the $$ for today.

Overall great store....I would come back here again for shoes. Friendly service too!

If you're read thru my reviews you know how I feel about working out, so I won't bore anyone with the details again. With that said, I do love to shop and I am always looking for the latest and greatest from gadgets to hair and makeup products. Doesn't mean I can afford it, but I like to look!

I am the same with my running shoes. Now, I don't "run" per say but I do wear shoes that are good for my feet. I came across that idea when I trained for a half-marathon a couple years ago. I used to buy shoes WAY too small for my feet until I found out that it's not healthy and actually dangerous!

I have been shopping at the Running Revolution for years (I'm actually due for a new pair of shoes) and Tim and Chris are awesome! Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable but they are nice and funny! And Chris J. said it best, they don't make you feel bad because you are overweight or not a professional runner.

They start off by asking you about your activity and they bring out a whole mess of shoes. They put you on a treadmill and have you run to see they type of support you need. They let you walk around, run outside and even take the shoes home and try them and if you don't like them you can bring them back! I mean who does that?!?!

Man, writing this review I'm totally psyched to go buy some new shoes and maybe an outfit... and possibly some new socks!

I run like the wind!  hahaha!  In my dreams!

At least my Brooks Ariel keeps my feet from hurting so that I can run and keep my ass from growing the size of Texas (because I sometimes like to eat Texas-sized foods).

I've only spoken to Chris and Tim, and I got the impression that they both really know what's best for each customer's foot.  They actually listen to the customer, observe the foot and person's gait, make recommendations, and then allow for a test run.

Ooooh!  And I got brownie points and discount for being a Colorado alumna.  Go Buffs!

After reading the raving reviews on Yelp!, I decided to give this place a shot since it was the first time I was going to purchase shoes for a reason...running! So I drove in all the way from Foster City to get there by 5.30 pm on a Monday, all excited hoping to meet shiny happy people who were more than willing to cushion my ankles for my new found conquest.

Contrary to the reviews about how friendly the staff is, what I discovered was intriguing:
- I was asked what I was looking for after having waited around for 5 min with just one other customer in the store...My response was "ummm...running shoes"...may be I shouda asked for "Gouda"..
- I was then assigned this girl assistant who seemed plain bored with her job. On prodding (as an excited newbie would) she'd answer my question(s), but not really...she seemed to be holding back versus being helpful...maybe I should have offered her a Double Espresso shot as commission!

I don't think I left the store learning a lot more about shoes or running in general, but I did burn $97 on a pair of ASICs which I could have purchased on the internet with a lot more helpful advice.

Disappointed Yelper!!!

This place rules, and you don't feel like they judge you for being fat and wanting running shoes.

I came in here last summer because my old shoes were giving me really bad ankle pain.  I was greeted right away with super friendly service and they checked my foot shape with one of those neat pads that are like those hypercolor shirts from the 90s, where it changes color with the heat.  Then he filmed my feet to see where I need the most support to find a shoe that is good enough for me.  I then ran around the block in a couple pairs of shoes to see what was best for me.  The thing I appreciated was I felt like the customer service was less about trying to make money and more about actually helping the customer achieve status: greatness.  Reasonable prices too.
