I love THE ROCK's pizza, and the Founder's Pie is our favorite of the bunch (followed closely by CRAZY TRAIN). These folks make an excellent pizza, wood-fired, great crust and sauces - easily my favorite in the area.
And for an added bonus, their Chipotle Hot-Wings are ridiculously good. Not terribly hot (don't let the Chipotle fool you).
Great beers, are crafted by THE ROCK (at another location, but they're wonderful). -

I love the pizza here. The combo's are good. But, I would stay away from the single burgers, it had 0 flavor, and it was compleatly dry. I hate a dry burger burnt burger. They tried to make up for it by giving us a free desert, but the dammage was done.
Stick to eating the pizza, you'll be glad you did. -

The pizza here is fantastic. Great "rock n' roll" ambiance.
The drinks are strong (esp. the bucket). Some of them have a limit (just a heads up).
However, I've heard their lines of beer aren't very tasty.
The buffet was fun. Not quite what I was expecting. Pretty small but with a good selection. WARNING: NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY. I was pretty disappointed but the guys were really friendly and offered to make me whatever pizza I wanted or make me a salad.
While I was initially VERY disappointed their willingness to work with me was great. My boyfriend loved all their meat dishes (lasagna, pasta bake, pizzas).
Buffet is 11:30-1?130? 8.99 with a drink, (or 9.99 with a beer? We didn't take that option but I doubt the beer is bottomless like the fountain drinks).
All in all it was a pretty good deal. -

much better with the gift card, Nate was great, just left there, Pizza was perfect. from us, and the girls to you and The Rock. Yes Nate was great and the food was too, but the young guy at the front desk, needs to at least smile and talk to the customers lol

Review from Nina W.
I used to think this place was absolute garbage, mainly because of the service, but the staff they employ nowadays has gone above and beyond to make me feel that they have taken a step in the right direction when it comes to customer service.
I was voted to go early and save seats at the bar for a surprise party for one of my friends. My girlfriend was in a panic trying to figure out how we could gather, because apparently The Rock doesn't take reservations for their banquet room on Fridays. No matter, I told her we would just go and storm the bar.
As our group started to overfill the bar, our awesome server, whose name I didn't remember to get (he's got that hair-do, you know- business in the front, party in the back, and he pulls it off), volunteered to open their "banquet" room for us, when I told him we were expecting at least 16 (turned out to be 20) total.
We were very well taken care of, and my friend was completely surprised. We pulled it off, with help from our awesome server and The Rock!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Inventive, delicious pizza and awesome house brewed beer. I crave the Elvis Sighting. I haven't had a bad experience here. The staff, in particular Nate and Jake, are really friendly and attentive. Nate is always coming up with these great things for me to try and Jake keeps me laughing during my whole stay! I would say they keep me coming back but it's really Elvis.... They just make it that much better.

I am bumping them up a star because we got great service last time we came in. The manager was super nice and comped our chicken because it was SUPER dry :(
He informed me that they now deep fry (on request) their wings instead of baking them (they were so soggy, fatty and gross) so we will be back to try the wings.
Food that I have had here that was good:
Elvis Sighting Pasta- surprising good, great option if you are a vegetarian. Ricotta & mascarpone filled raviolis in pesto cream sauce, topped with pecans and tomatoes (I ordered no tomatoes)
Day Trippers- love the sauce in the buffalo chicken!
California Dreamin' Pizza- has pesto and pine nuts mmmm, I haven't had this in years but I remember liking it
Stay away from the skinless chicken strips, they deep fry them (wth?) and it dries the crap out of them. Personally, I think they should wood fire (or oven- whatever they use) the skinless, boneless chicken, and deep fry the wings! They seem to have it backwards!
A reason they won't ever get more than 3 stars from me is that sometime ago they went around with iPads and asked people to vote them on Best in Western on King 5.... really lame to beg for votes! And apparently the cost of the iPad was going to come out of the managers pockets if they didn't get enough votes- how very unrock n' roll of them!!Listed in: Buffalo wing, Hot wing,…

this place is great, I have been here many times with friends, their beer is tasty and the pizza is even better! the only time I haven't enjoyed my order was when the group decided on Canadian bacon and pineapple, I honestly can tell you I am a huge fan of CBAP but this was gross. However recently when we went back we got the revolution. SO FANTASTIC holy moley. and the waiter was suuuper friendly and actually engaged in conversation and was authenticly interested and friendly I always appreciate that.

So after spending a couple hours navigating through a cornfield maze, we decided to find a pizza joint nearby my dad's place (Edmonds). We ended up exiting around 196th(?) and I pull up my Yelp app (funny, right) to search for some good pizza eating. I was quite disappointed with the results but saw Rock Wood-fired and said hey why not? We were all super hungry anyway.
I'll start with service. It was, hmm, not so bad but not spectacular either. It took some time to get a table for the 6 of us and when we got seated, I wondered why we even had to wait. It was pretty damn empty! It was only after we sat down did people start swarming in. In any case, the waitress was very friendly and patient when part of the table could not decide.
Food took FOREVER to come out and apparently it was because a large party put in an order before us. Well, couldn't you guys have told us that earlier? Like, let's say 20mins ago. Luckily, I had a side salad so I was fine with waiting but we didn't order any appetizers since we ordered 3 different pizzas. When the pizza finally came out, it was so damn delicious! No, it wasn't because we had waited so long. The pizza itself, the toppings, crust, sauce, all oozing with goodness. I had the California dreamin' because I had an itch for some pesto. One of the best combinations I've ever had. Dad and Aunt had the Yellow Brick Road which is basically a Hawaiian pizza lol. And kids had a plain cheese pizza.
For dessert, the kids and I shared the cookie dough skillet. Such a basic dessert and it was just super duper oh so scrumptious! I actually wanted some more but guess what I can do this at home since I have a cast iron skillet too!
All in all, the food was good. Prices were not so bad and service was okay. Will I come here again? Maybe. Just because it's near my dad's place. I'm still searching for the BEST pizza. -

I accidently posted a bad review for this place when i intended it for the location in the Bothell/Mill Creek area, the GM Cheryl Pernula responded quickly asking what she can do to correct the problem. That was incredible customer service on her part. We are all human and mistakes happen, it is about what you do to amend those mistakes that count. I have been to this location a couple of times and it was an enjoyable experience.

We love The Rock! Before they built one closer to our house, we used to go to the Lynnwood location. It's always delicious.
We really enjoy going to happy hour, which they do twice a day! :-)
They also have a buffet, which I believe goes from 11am-1:30pm. The buffet is okay. My only issue with it is that they used to have a lot more of an assortment of items out to eat and I've noticed that has dwindled quite a bit. First we thought it was less because we came later, but we have since come right when it's started and there still isn't a huge selection. They usually have a few pastas and a selection of pizza out. If you go on a busy day, there are lots of people who hog the pizza and take 10 pieces on their plates, which means if you're polite and go take just what you'll eat there isn't much left to choose from. The nice thing about the buffet is that it's $8.95 (just $1 more than Round Table buffet) and it includes a drink and a salad (your choice of house salad or ceasar) and the salad is usually decently sized.
The happy hour menu is decent. prices are what you'd expect for a happy hour menu. I really like the chicken quesadilla off the happy hour menu.
For dessert their cookie dough w/ ice cream and their american pie are both really great.
We will continue to come to the rock because they have great food! -

Just had a group of 9 in on Sunday night for a birthday party and the pizza was wonderful. It had a nice thin and crisp crust as you can get only from a brick oven and it;s small individual size allowed me to get the toppings I wanted and everyone else to pick their favs. I think staff is overworked. Our waitress was really trying to be very attentive but they were busy and she seed to have half the place to wait on. If our order had come up just a bit quicker I would have given 4 stars. Prices are veery reasonable.

- 3.5 star-
I liked that Rock offers pizza with all kinds of different combination of toppings. Pizza isn't cheap but it's fun to try their creative topping combination. I forgot the name but you can get mixed drink (margarita?) in a small cute bucket that comes with a shovel, and you get to keep the bucket.
I tried white Christmas and meaty pizza. Both were good but the one I liked the most was brown sugar mozza bread. This warm sweet gooey cheese (not much of cheese flavor, just texture) bread comes with alfredo and red sauce as dipping sauce. Good portion. Try it.
I would most likely to come back for Happy hour very soon. -
Review from Jen C.
I'm not really a fan of pizza (I know that is a horrible statement to make) but some friends and I were going out and wanted an inexpensive place that was easy for everyone to get to. The Rock was the decided upon location and we made reservations for 7:30 on a Friday night. We had no problem getting in and were sat promptly even though part of our group dwindled in a bit later.
Now as far as the food goes, it is typical appetizers (breads, hot wings, chicken fingers); salads, pizzas, burgers, etc. Nothing fancy at all. But it is well prepared for what it is. I had a simple soup and salad, and the others had pizza, breads, and chicken fingers. Everyone enjoyed their food but it isn't a culinary standout. Far from the best pizza ever, etc. But it is good and it is inexpensive. We also all had drinks, I can't comment on anyone elses but they were all finished and I can say that my lemon drop went down way to easy. Our server was very very nice; he split checks without us even asking, he was attentive but not overly so, and he was just overall a really nice guy. Definately a positive addition to the Rock (unfortunately I didn't get his name).
Anyways, this is a place I would come back to for a quick inexpensive meal with friends or on a night that I don't want to cook. It's not going to blow your mind with its goodness but it is going to be a good experience with decent food. -

A $7.50 Bucket? You bet. Awesome. Garlic Mozz Bread great. Atmosphere great for post office wind-down.
Ok the Bucket is like a huge Mai Tai. It is made from a premix, so drinks depend on where your bucket came from the top or the bottom. They are awesome tho.
I only ever have aps and buckets here, I cannot vouch for the pizza.Listed in: Coolest Bars

After browsing through my own reviews (yes, I am that pathetic), I have discovered that I am very, very cheap.
If you are looking to save a buck, def try the lunch buffet. 8.99 with a pop, 9.99 with beer. Kids are less, of course.
They offer a variety of their pizzas, not just pepperoni and cheese, but crazy ones with ham and fruit or artichoke hearts and salami looking cuts. They don't stick to a certain pizza, either, when one runs out they may replace it with a totally different kind. It is entirely plausable that you could try 4 or 5 different pizzas in the span of the lunch buffet hours.
In addition to pizza they have a great salad bar, 2 soups, crackers, pasta salad...
Great for bringing the kids along.
In a different location (Auburn) I've had their strawberry blonde beer which was fine (not a beer drinker) and a Pink Floyd cocktail that was yummy! -
Review from Brittany L.
Lynnwood, WA
I will admit, this place has gone a different direction (and slightly downhill in my opinion) since it first opened here (when burgers WEREN'T on the menu!). They've gone with a new look, but I happened to LIKE the giant album covers on the walls, the album cover menus and "just another brick in the wall..." scrawled on the wall towards the back. Oh well, I guess they still have song names for menu items...
Also when I say downhill, I feel like the taste has gone down -- but don't get me wrong, I really like this place, I'm just not sure I "love" it anymore. And of course not since they got rid of my favorite pizza (Ripp's Revenge). They once attempted to remake it for me, but failed miserably. Props for actually trying though.
Their happy hour deals are pretty great and the servers are typically spot-on, too. The one thing I would look out for if you plan on sitting in the main dining room is the noise level. I was in here recently with a few family members and we couldn't hear a word from each other because of the giant group next to us. I seem to recall there being a private room for big parties, but last time I visited the bar, that room was opened up to the bar so I don't know if that's a permanent change or not.
Oh, and as for their beers -- I've had the suicide blonde (fav), wild thing, rock steady red and lite my fire and they've all been pretty good.Listed in: PizzaPalooza

Great food, music, staff, and decor.
This is my husband's favorite, and luckily one of mine too. They have a wide selection of food on the menu and we have always had great tasty grub no matter what we order. Its the best decor Ive seen in a pizza place, its got the "universal studios" feel to it. The building looks like it was blown up, bricks purposely missing and walls look like Stallingrad. Theres even a skeleton pirate riding the giant chandelier... cool. Its a great place for any age, the will even give your kid's pizza dough to play with and you can watch the guys tossing the dough. Theres plenty of privacy with the roomy seating. The oven is a legit wood fire pit and you just cant get pizza this tasty without it.
It can be spendy especially if you get a signature cocktail in a lit up glass, but its worth it for a treat. They have a jello shot in a big syrynge and I hate jello but I had to try it. There is a killer happy hour lunch buffet weekdays from open to 1:30 variety of specialty pizzas, house-made lasagna, pasta bakes, stromboli, mozzarella bread, fresh fruit, pasta and vegetable salads, and house salads. $8.99 with pop or $9.99 with their personal micro brew. If you have a request for a pizza thats not in the buffet they will most likely make it if you ask nicely. Sweet. -

We came here for happy hour and I was pretty impressed with the drinks and food. I came late so my friends were almost done when I got there. But I ordered the classic pizza and it was so gooddd! We all ordered the sand bucket drinks and kept our sand buckets as a memorabilia. So cute! Their service is okay from what I can tell, but it was kind of busy it being Halloween weekend and all...so I wasn't too bugged when the waiter didn't stop by our table for like the longest time! But I would definitely be back to check it out again and try other stuff on their menu!

As a self-professed carbaholic - pizza is food-of-the-gods for me. Being a bit adverse to theme restaurants and after reading the reviews for The Rock I hesitated to give them a try but am glad I did.
Our server recommended the crazy train as one of his favorites and it didn't disappoint. I have some serious pet-peves about pizza and too much sauce, a puddle of grease, or a soggy crust top the list.
Despite being loaded with pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, peppered bacon, caramelized onions, and hot cherry peppers The Rock's pizza had a crunchy crust, the right amount of sauce, and no grease pool. Nice!
The service was friendly and fast but we weren't rushed out the door once we had finished our meal. I'll be back for another Suicide Blonde and a pie for sure. -

This place is hit or miss. When they are good- they are really good; when they are not.... well it makes you vow never to go back.
The Rock recently changed some of their menu items- the wings and salads are fantastic... unfortunately they changed the recipe on the onion rings- too bad cause the new ones just aren't good at all.
The service is always pretty decent- so that's a redeeming factor even when the food isn't good. Will I go back? Sure- The Bucket is yummy... and there is a chance it will be good on that visit... -

I will say that their chicken wings are pretty good, they're baked not fried, but other than that this place is mediocre. You can tell it's a corporate entity and trying to be trendy. I'd say this place caters to people who have just started drinking alcohol, they have buckets of nasty rum and lava lamps of nasty alcohol that no adult would drink. The staff is pretty good, can be hit or miss on service. Another big thing, if there's a party there, don't go, they have incredibly slow service at that time, it took us an hr and a half to get our food for a party of four, not cool. Seems like they would be somewhat prepared for that kind of thing instead of making customers wait forever. Either way, if someone drags me here, I'll eat but that's the only way I'm going back.

I've always had very hit or miss dining experiences at this franchise. This particular restaurant was what I was expecting. I drank water but my friends enjoyed the buckets which I've also enjoyed in the past... if all you want is a lot of booze mixed in sugar water. It makes me feel like an alcoholic ant... maybe a lush bee?
I really enjoyed my brown sugar moss bread. I think from now on this will be the only thing I eat here. It's like gooey cheesy strips of wonderment I can devour. The pizza I ordered like every other pizza I've had at a Rock was pretty sub-par. I find that odd as it is a pizza joint. I didn't even finish the small pizza I ordered... and that wasn't due to being delightfully too full to finish... it was more due to the fact that I felt like I was torturing myself and my love of pizza with every mouthful.
It was insanely busy which is to be expected at around 8pm on a Friday night. We managed to claim a table in the bar that had just be vacated. Our server was awesome. She wiped the table down and got it cleaned up instantly and was prompt on the drink order. She checked on us often and was super quick with the bill when we asked for it but we never felt like she was rushing us to get the table freed-up.
If you're not going to eat the pizza or just want drinks and apps then I would give this place 3 stars but based off of coming here for their main dish and it's horrible effect on my facehole... 2 stars.
Not my cup of tea. -
Review from Victoria C.

The Rock's pizza is average at best, but provides an alternative to the limited selection of toppings at Pagliacci's, and encourages a more family style of eating.
PROS:
1. Lots of pizza pies with cool names! Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy. My Generation. Stairway to Heaven.
2. Wood-fired!
CONS:
1. Amazingly popular and crowded and took awhile to get seated (40 minutes, wtf).
2. I can make better. The toppings/sauce kind of center toward the middle of the pie leaving lots of uncovered crust = not cool. Also, the flavors didn't pop. Just kind of meh.
I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. I've only been here twice in two years and would only come again if someone organized a gathering here. There are better pizzas in Seattle. -
Review from Kristina L.

We took our 14 year old her for his birthday. It was the first time our family had been to this restaurant. It is a bar and grill, but does a great job of separating the bar side from the restaurant side. We have been places that say bar and grill and felt they were not very "family friendly" But this place nailed being able to meet the needs of those seeking a bar and those seeking a family friendly place.
For a Friday night at 6pm we had a short wait. The staff was all excellent from the moment we walked in the door. Friendly, checked on us regularly, drinks never went empty, etc... We had the hot wings and calamari for appetizers and both were great. But the hot wings were super great!
Both the pizza's we ordered were awesome too. They have a lot of great choices for pizza and the rock theme makes it fun.
Everyone in the family had a good time and loved their food. So we will definitely head back here the next time we are graving pizza. :) -

This place went from being hands down one of my favorite pizza joints to being just an overpriced Pizza Hut... still, the beer battered fries are the truth.
It's a sad day that I have to give this place such a lackluster score. I used to love eating here, they produced some delicious pies loaded with ingredients, it was like thin crust pizza that ate like a pan pizza... or a lite beer that went down like Guinness, it's just sad.
I'll reserve judgement and give them a shot again some day, but after eating here this past weekend... it saddens me to give it a 2 star review...Listed in: I wouldn't if I were you (1 &…

You must try the Rock chips and cheese! These are a family favorite! The entire family loves going to the rock! The pizza is super yummy!! We usually get the two kinds of pepperoni with the meatballs! The meatballs are broken up on the pizza. Definately worth trying!!!

I'm probably going to stop going here.
First off they stopped serving their happy hour cheese fries. It was the one of the main reasons I went in there. Second off the last time I was in there I decided I wanted to try a the cookie dough ice cream dessert but they were out of ice cream. I don't know what the deal is but they've made some changes and I don't like it. The menu changes are not working for me and the service seems to be going downhill. -

If Guy Fieri owned a pizza restaurant, I'm guessing it would look like this place. Very Rock and Roll type of theme all over.
Pizza's were ok. We had the BBQ chicken pizza, but they decided to add green peppers which I think totally throws off the formulaic balance of onions, chicken, and bbq sauce.
Also had the thai salad as an appetizer but I thought it was really dry...I think it tastes better at Panera, and I don't even like that salad that much.
Their beers were pretty bad. I had the sampler which let me try all their beers and I remember making a disgusted face every time I tried one of their beers. I don't recommend it. Just stick w/ their sodas. -

I have been here twice now and there is some good with the bad. The first time we came we ordered fresh pizzas and were extemely happy with the medium thin crust being crisp on teh outside and smooth on teh inside, and the spicings were nearly perfect on the pizzas. The second time we came around lunch time and tried the buffet. While decent, these pizzas suffered from being left out and were not nearly as good as freshly baked, but it was fast and cheaper than ordering individual pies.
The atmosphere is a somewhat cheesy hard rock theme which is OK but too over the top for my taste even though I love rock and roll. While being loud, the music did not drown out conversation where we were sitting. The establishment was cleanish but there was room for improvement here. Service was friendly both times we came and pricing reasonable, especially the buffet.
Overall my family likes the rock for the large variety of pies, good crust, good balance and excellent tangy spicyness of the pies. It is not my top rated pizza place but we will come again. -

I've loved this place for a long time. Their chicken strips are the best! They are big chunks of beer battered chicken that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the best of both worlds. But my favorite thing here is the My Generation pizza. I mean anything with cheese, chicken, bacon and ranch has to be good right?
My husband loves the drinks here (as evidenced by his bachelor party many a year ago), and we both love the lunch buffet. The guys will make any type of pizza you want, just ask! For $8.95 it includes a drink and salad, you can't do much better than that. We also love the staff here. Nate is awesome and he's there almost all the time. We are never disappointed when we come here and we have brought many friends and family members who also love it. -

Lunch buffet M-F 11:30-1:30pm.
Great deal if you ask me. Variety of their specialty pizzas, cold and warm pasta, lasagna and salad! Comes with a drink for too for only $8.99. Score!
This time around we ordered their extra spicy buffalo wings with the sauce on the side. No bueno. Skip that and just stick with the lunch buffet.Listed in: Seattle is where my heart is!

I was highly mislead by the impressive website and rock and roll decor.
The service was slow and the food, even worse.
My fiance' ordered the Harvest Moon Pizza. He ate 2 slices and called it quits. He said that it was bland and that the dough was undercooked.
I on the other hand, chose to order Don's Calzone. What a bad move!
The Calzone was both overcooked and burnt on top. Not only that but they didn't feel the need to fix the mistake, they just covered it up with sauce and figured I wouldn't notice. (FYI: I made sure to post a photo)
Don't let their trendy website and cool rock and roll decor fool you!
This place was "Bad to the Bone!"
Keep in mind, my review is dated in August.

Oh my god. I've never been a fan of bleu cheese, but I came here recently and at the strong urging of a family member, I ordered up the Bacon Bleu Burger. It came served with pickles, fresh tomatoes, fresh lettuce and 2 strips of thick cut bacon that tasted like it had been marinating in steak sauce. Fantastic flavor!
The bleu cheese was crumbles mixed in with creamy and my lord, it was phenomenal. I scarfed down the whole thing and was looking around for more!
I spent the next 3 weeks ordering bleu burgers from various burger joints. One in everett, 2 in seattle, one in kirkland and another in lynnwood...and NONE were even on a scale close to the one I had at the rock.
Simply put, I had 6 bleu cheese burgers in the past month or so (my poor arteries) and this one was without a doubt the best. The rest were so unsatisfying!
I'll be coming back here a lot more.
Oh yeah, don't forget the staff! They were really kind and helpful and were always there to fill up the drinks without seeming too pushy.
(Btw, the beer battered fries...extraordinarily delicious!) -

This place has a great lunch buffet. Their pizza is excellent, and you can make custom requests for pizza (within reason) and it they will get it out quick. They also have some really great desert pizzas, one I tried had bacon, peanut butter, and banana...it was awesome. Also, you can substitute a beer for the pop for only a dollar extra! As well the buffet comes with a salad (not a salad bar but an actual prepared salad), I recommend their cesar its excellent. I have not been here for anything other than the lunch buffet but its the best buffet for the price anywhere that I know of.

My favorite is the lunch buffet, because you get to try pizza's you're just not sure if you like enough to order a full one at other times. Oh, and they have these delicious mozzarella and brown sugar breadsticks that are HEAVEN. (Don't knock it til you try it)
The banquet room here can fit about 40 people and, if needed, the doors close. They're pretty good about getting everyone taken care of when you're in there which is a super plus. Any time we have a soccer/birthday/anniversary party to schedule this is the first place I think of.
