My husband and I choose this location for our 25th Anniversary and it was perfect.
The amenities were exceptional, the couples matching robes, the ballons and the welcoming note in our room made a difference. We had the Studio Suite, with the fully equiped kitchen, dinning table, fireplace, the large shower, the bed was very comfy. We didn't use the pool area, however the facilities looked great with the hot water whirle pool and fire pit lit every evening.
The front office staff can be a bit friendlier, they were to the point, dry and serious.]
Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon. -

Location Location Location
This place is just off Biltmore Ave... maybe a half-mile north of Biltmore Village and just 2 miles south of Downtown. So great location. Not walking distance, but pretty good.
We had the one-bedroom set-up. It's nice - an apartment for yourself. Much more relaxing than a hotel room for about the same money. Weather was too chilly to get much out of the pool and hot tub.
Very helpful staff. -

This property was everything it was advertised to be--nicely appointed furnishings and amenities, very comfortable bedding. The pool and hot tub area was lovely and not overused -- we had the place to ourselves at 9:15 pm after dinner when we used it. We didn't try the firepit but it looked nice. Great hot tub and nicely wooded/stone surroundings. Heated pool was great and long enough for some exercise laps.
Recommend this property for couples or families traveling for several nights to Asheville area -- fully equipped kitchen, lots of room, and not too noisy. We did hear some footsteps from the unit above us but was likely their little children, and it was not very loud. The windows and walls were nicely sound proofed and the property is a bit off the main drag in a wooded neighboerhood too. Pet friendly, with one time $85 fee (regardless of length of stay), so that is a nice option for families.
The concierge mentioned they plan to open a pavilion that will offer lite food options (not a dining venue, but for snacks and guests; convenience.). That will be a good add.
Very reasonably priced for the size and quality of the unit -- we booked it on a travel website for $152/nt for a one-bedroom with jacuzzi tub and full kitchen. Other properties with less were $250 or more per night. A studio was only $125 and had a queen bed and kitchen as well but we wanted the king bed in the 1 BR. -

The Residence where I want to reside.
We LOVED this place. We spent a fantastic two nights here. You can not beat the location. It is about a minute from Biltmore Estate and a quick 3 minute ride to the heart of downtown. It is a series of condos converted into a large residential hotel. When you first pull in you might be tempted to take the first right you see. Don't do that, as the check in office is a little higher up (the units are on a hill slope) on your second right.
We booked the petite suite, and it was as large as some one bed room apartments in DC. It had a fully equipped, stainless steel kitchen, and a very large bathroom with a great shower. It also had a small balcony ewith a couple tables and chairs overlooking the mountains. Each unit has a DVD player and you can check out DVDs for free from the front desk. They have cable, but no HBO. This to us was not an issue but I thought I would mention it. The bed was very comfortable and closet space was generous. I can't imagine how much larger the actual 1 and 2 bedroom units must be. They also have a pool, hot tub, and a fire pit (the fire pit rocked) that they light up at night from 7:00 PM-10:00 PM). The AC unit was great and was very quiet. In the mornings everything is surronded by the morning fog until the sun comes out and burns it off.
The staff were super friendly and gave us good advice on where to eat and what to do at Biltmore. Getting downtown from there was just hanging a right and driving in a straight line. And if you wanted to go to Biltmore, you just hung a left. It was amazingly easy to use this as a place to go to places and come back. Plenty of parking.
I would not stay anywhere else in Asheville. This place is fantastic, and the price very reasonable. This residence is a keeper, and ideally suited for single travellers, couples, or large groups. -

Home Away from Home! Only 3 blocks from the Biltmore Estate entrance. We went on the "Experience" package which was for 2 nights, tickets for 2 days at the Estate, Bottle of Biltmore Champagne (very good), $50 dinner coupon for different restaurants (we chose the Corner Kitchen which was very good) and a 1 bedroom suite with fireplace, S/S appliances, mission style furniture, balcony, and close to the pool/spa. Special Touch: Beautiful spa style robes! Very near the village. Could walk to the village but we preferred to drive. We could easily stay here again as the stone/wood surroundings are beautiful. Oh, forgot to mention the double shower! Great place for our 32nd Anniversary!

With plans to drive from Michigan to Florida over the holidays, I really wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a romantic over-night stay in Asheville on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. While checking out the popular option of the Biltmore Estate, I stumbled on The Residences at Biltmore and thought it looked like a cool option. The reviews online were all good and the pictures looked nice, so I splurged and booked the one bedroom suite. The room itself was fantastic. Full kitchen, living room area with a fireplace, whirlpool bathtub, spacious shower, comfortable bed. No complaints with that. The service though was so terrible that it totally ruined our Asheville experience. In their defense, it was christmas, and it also snowed. So I would imagine they had a lot going on. But for the price I paid for this room, I really had much, much higher expectations.
First off, they were obviously under-staffed. The "concierge" that they advertise appears to be responsible for answering the phone, checking in guests, checking out guests, running errands around the complex and handling guest requests/issues. This was clearly too much for one person to handle. It took 2 phone calls and about 45 minutes to get more coffee brought to the room. I could write a really long review here to go into detail about how bad our experience was but instead I'll try and summarize: It snowed. We decided to stay another night. The concierge said he would extend our room, but in the event that the roads cleared up a bit and we decided we wanted to leave he was very generous and said we could have a late check-out of 1:00pm and also said we could cancel with no penalty until 6:00pm. I was confused at the time what we were supposed to do between 1:00 and 6:00 but since he was the only person working and more guests were waiting to talk to him (and clearly getting annoyed), I figured he was just hooking us up since we were snowed in and all. Turns out he didn't enter this information in their computer system or charge my credit card. The next morning, while I was out, the concierge just walked into the room despite the "do not disturb" on the door (my girlfriend was naked!), and then when she told him to leave he called the room 4 times (in a period of about 25 minutes), demanding payment for the room. When I arrived back and went to the registration desk to handle things, I told him to never mind, forget the extra night, we wanted to check out. He insisted I owed an additional $90 for checking out late. It was about 1:30. He said they "rarely" authorize a late checkout (of 1:00 as I was promised), and if we canceled before 6:00, we owed $90. A call to the general manager cleared us of the fee, otherwise I would have walked out and would probably be wanted by the Asheville police department because no way, would I have payed the additional $90.
Perhaps I paid an inflated rate due to staying on a holiday, not sure. If this place had been less expensive, then I would recommend it despite the service issues. But I paid a 4-star price, and felt like I deserved 4-star service. I left feeling cheated. -

Arrived on a Wednesday left on a Sunday.
We opted to not get the suite and it was plenty large enough for a couple.
The pros:
*Having a kitchen was a definite bonus and all the appliances were nice and new. Being able to bake eggs each morning was nice and having a refrigerator was super useful.
*The cookware wasn't the greatest but it was good enough and everything you needed (apart from a baking dish) was there.
*I was pleasantly surprised to find (and use) a large salad bowl.
*The dishes were all matching and complete.
*The bed was comfy.
*The shower was *awesome.
*Wireless internet access
The cons:
*When the air conditioner came on it was *loud (and sounded less than healthy). We turned it off because we really didn't need it.
*The patio was nice but would have been way more useful if they'd put in a slider or some other door arrangement. As it was it had a single door which only opened part way because the bed was in the way. It had a screen would be nice if usable but the door made that completely useless.
*The shower was really big and was nicely tiled but that size shower screamed out for a second shower head.
*The door of the shower also didn't actually close/seal - the only reason it wasn't an issue is because of how big the shower was.
*The big wall mounted flat screen TV was nice enough but there was no accessible input ports on it. I realize this sounds silly but it's really nice to be able to stream Netflix to my laptop and then output that to the room's TV - not a huge deal but it would have made the TV infinitely more useful to us.
We only dealt with the staff at check in and they were nice enough - but *very clearly had the plastic smiles and canned laughs thing going.
They directed me pretty far for an espresso but there was a really decent place across the street next to Citi-Mac called Citi-Mug.
The next time I head to Asheville I'll definitely look into staying here again. -

This place is a great value. My wife and I are in a two room "suite" - bedroom and livingroom/kitchen. It has a full kitchen with a range, full fridge, all the necessary appliances. Big bathroom and great sized bedroom.
The place was an apartment complex which was converted into hotel units - apparently fairly recently since everythings looks brand new.
I would recommend without hesitation. -

We visited Asheville, NC a couple of weeks ago and had a marvelous time. We stayed at the Residences because it looked nice, they had great rates and we were staying for 5 nights so we were looking for something nice, spacious and comfortable. The Residences at Biltmore have all of the above and more. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday and the staff greeted us very nicely. We were very impressed with our one bedroom suite, with its nice fireplace in the living room, great kitchen fully equipped with beautiful cabinets and granite counter tops. The bedroom was wonderful and the bathroom spectacular. It is the perfect spot if you want to travel around the area. It's nice and quiet and very safe. Looking forward to our next visit here.

This is a great place to stay if you are heading to Asheville. The staff is exceptional, very attentive and friendly. The rooms (I think all of them) are one and two bedroom units. They are fairly new and extremely clean. It is right in between Biltmore Village and downtown Asheville.

Awesome deal! We stayed in a 2 room suite for $160 a night. The unit is a full size 2 bedroom apartment with an interior straight out of HGTV. The kitchen has granite counter tops, full size appliances and a washer dryer!! There are two bathrooms and the master bath has a big whirlpool tub. It's amazing! I want to live here. Downtown is a 4 min drive but an inattractive walk over a hill past the hospital. I will come back and stay a week next time!
