Very cute children's store. You'll find very original and eclectic clothes for kids here. Cute and playful with a great selection of clothes, shoes, accessories and toys, you'll find a lot of stuff here that you won't find anywhere else.
It can be on the expensive side, but then again, its in Beacon Hill so its all relative.
Oh good god!
It is sooo adorable in here and the staff is SO sweet!
This is my "go-to" place when I need a stylish baby gift.
Cheap? No...but you get what you pay for!
The very best dressed kids in Boston must shop here ...or at least their parents do.....
Yes it's pricey, but if you have to splurge on a special gift you will most likely find something cool for the little tyke or tykette here.
From clothes and shoes to bags books and toys...their adorable collection is quite impressive...
Now I certainly did not wear pink suede winter boots with a pho fur trim when I was a kid --but why should that stop little fashionistas- in -the making from doing so?
In a word----Adorable!(said with a thick fake french accent)
I used to work in a yuppie little girls' store, so I consider myself to have pretty high standards when it comes to such threads: Red Wagon rates very highly!
I couldn't believe their selection, goes way beyond just clothes! The toys were the best part!
Perfect place to grab a gift, or take a walk through time!
This holiday season I'm shopping for two toddlers and winter is a fun time to buy kids clothes because you can go crazy with the accessories.
Red Wagon is invitingly laid out and the stock is just broad enough to keep you strolling through. The strengths are the shoes and clothing. The childrens clothes here, for the most part, look like little kids clothes - not miniature versions of the latest adult fashion trends. The brands are largely recognizable. The stock is a little thin - I'm shopping in the 18-24m/2T sizes and there was about as much out as there was in, but that's the way it goes with boutiques I suppose. One thing, as a nonparent-shopper, is it might be useful if they could provide a little chart that explains childrens shoe sizes for those of us who want to buy cute slippers or socks. Frequently even the parents aren't sure, so some general rules of thumb wouldn't hurt.
The toys were okay - I picked up a jingle-bell-bracelet guaranteed to be the bane of any parent's existence. On the whole I enjoyed the visit, and as I walked away I heard a young girl about 7 or 8 enthusiastically walking and talking up the store to her grandmother as they passed by, so kids endorse it too.
If you have the money, buy all your kids' clothes from the Red Wagon. If not, use this awesome spot for gifts, special occasion clothes and the sporadic splurge item. While most of their stuff can be a bit pricy, there are certain things worth paying a little more for anyways. The cotton rollneck sweaters are a great example - my cousins each have 2 of these sweaters and, at $50 each, they aren't cheap, but they're a classic piece they can wear almost all year. Buy a size up, as the sweaters look good both baggy and fitted. They've got a good stock of lilly pulitzer dresses, but it's the funky colored lilly-look-alikes that I think are worth it. They're cotton, washable, super cute, and $30 each. Examples like this are the real deal on the Wagon - sometimes, you need to make a little extra effort to find the bargains, but the clothes are always well-made and beautiful. Go here.
This is my go-to place for baby shower presents. They have a cute selection of onesies, hats, and little shoes for newborns as well as clothes and toys for older kids. The prices would be prohibitive if you were buying an entire wardrobe but are just right for a present. Plus they helpfully put your purchase in a decorated gift bag for free -- all you have to do is provide the card.
I never know how many stars to give a place that has very cute things that are crazy expensive. The children's clothing pieces here are nicer than the clothes I wear! And more expensive than my clothes. Price tags are often between $50-125 for one piece. For those of you without kids, kids wear clothes for such a short period of time. They have a so-so selection of toys in this store. With all that said, if you need a gift for... your bosses child or your boyfriends niece, and want to impress the world, you will easily accomplish this!
Really cute clothes for kids, and all sorts of gifty items. I was torn between a holiday sweater, a wooden multi-piece toy, and a soft plush animal....it's just too hard to choose!
This is a totally cute kids store. Toy boats, cars, stuft animals galore. Everything seems pretty well made and exciting- the experience may just inspire you to be six again. GREAT FOR: reliving your past, getting kids toys.
I love to buy cute little girl clothes for my niece in this place. The staff is so nice and helpful and I love the big selection of adorable and good quality clothing. Prices are high so I can't imagine how one could buy a whole wardrobe for your kid here but it is a great spot to buy special items! I bought my niece the cutest sweater and skirt and little leggings and she loved them! Also, I think the layout and design of the store is terrific
