We offer the full spectrum of general dentistry services. The Radiant Smile was built in 2003. Our beautiful office has modern equipment and newer technology. Our owner dentist has 15 years of private practice experience. Furthermore, we are in network with your PPO insurance, which means you pay a lower fee. And we are open Monday to Saturday to serve you.

Love this business. Always friendly, professional, super clean, and respectful. Dr. Basko always takes time to explain everything and she cares about providing the best service possible. I have been coming here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. In fact, I moved, so I need to travel an hour to get here, but having a comfortable experience with a dentist I trust relieves any anxiety I might otherwise feel.

I have to thank my friend for referring me to this dental practice ! I went to another office near my house for an emergency check up and they told me I had several cavities possible root canals. I'm a bit scared of dental procedures so my friend recommended me Dr. Chen. As soon as I called the front desk were able to get me in as an emergency appointment. They helped me check my insurance coverage ahead of time. Dr. Chen was so gentle I did not felt when I was being numbed. He showed me my x-rays and were the cavities where, he knew what he was talking about and how to help me save my teeth. Luckily those root canals that were proposed by other office were able to just be fillings. I really liked this office and their friendly environment, they made me feel very welcomed for a new patient.

Going to the dentist is scary, we try to put it off as long as we can lol but Dr Chen and Dr Basko make the visit comforting and easy. The work is efficient and fast, exceptional results.
I enjoyed the NP process, very helpful staff.
Definitely recommend!

I tried to be a new patient. Showed up for my first appointment, but they hadn't gotten my X-rays. I didn't want to take unecessary additional X-rays, so I tried to make another appointment. Called four times over the course of a week before the front desk staff got back to me. Front desk told me that Dr. Chen would not give me an appointment for a cleaning or a general exam because he said he "wasn't qualified" to do unspecified future work I might need beyond a cleaning and a general exam.
Dr. Chen declined to communicate with me directly. The receptionist ended the conversation by saying "I've said what I'm supposed to say. He said to tell you he's not qualified and you should go back to the dentist who did your previous work." I would, except I moved recently so that's not a possibility.
Further, I would argue that if you are a dentist who tells your front desk staff to tell potential patients that you aren't qualified to do a general cleaning and are not able to refer someone to specialists as needed, you are not a good dentist.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Michael Z.Los Angeles, CA04Mar 13, 2023
Worst experience I've had at a dentist. I was a new patient and they asked me to have my X-rays sent over, which I did, six weeks before the appointment. Then I show up and, after keeping me waiting half an hour just to go inside, they claimed they had not received the X-rays. They had six weeks to let me know that these hadn't been received, but didn't do anything.
Amazingly, the hygienist then said the dentist would not see me without the X-rays. They completely wasted my time, based on their mistake (even if the other practice did not send the x-rays, this office had plenty of time to follow up with me to make sure the X-rays were sent. The other practice confirmed with me that these were sent, of course.)
I will definitely urge everyone I know to avoid this office. The fact that the total lack of concern for patients shown by both the office staff and the dentist was revealed so early makes me almost thankful, because they won't have the opportunity to treat me and my family. I really loved The Radiant Smile until recently. I asked how much a night guard would be and the admin contacted insurance and told me I would have a $60 copay. I paid the $60, got the night guard and thought all was well. Then The Radiant Smile sends me a bill for $300 saying that insurance wouldn't pay. I called the insurance and we have had several conversations. They said they told the admin that unless I had previous perio surgery, the night guard would not be covered. The Radiant Smile never said any thing about that to me. I called to make a cleaning appointment a month ago and they said that was not allowed because I have a balance of $300 (that I will continue to refuse to pay). They said they would call me to figure this out and they never called. Really? That is how you might get treated so beware. I now need to find a new dentist and I really liked Dr. B.

Our office policy is to verify insurance eligibility before the appointment and do our best to inform patients of any estimated copays. Despite everyone's best effort to check, insurance companies sometimes do not pay for everything they say they cover. On the EOB, it states the patient's responsibility - this is received weeks after the visit. When necessary, we send patients bills based on this EOB.
We understand that insurance-related problems can be frustrating, as we do our best to provide our patients with the most accurate information possible. Our goal for each patient is to have a terrific experience with everyone here at The Radiant Smile. I found Dr. Chen after an extensive search for a new dentist and consultation with my sister who is a dental assistant and knows what to look for on a website for indicators of a good dentist. Dr. Chen is at the forefront of technology, which you can tell by his website and his office. I've never had a quicker and easier cleaning, and some of that was the equipment they use. I then needed a crown replaced which is not fun. All staff were amiable, patient, and understanding. They have great communication and I felt absolutely safe under their care. I didn't experience any pain and the whole process went so smooth. Dr. Chen is an all-star and I feel fortunate to have found him. I have had to wait a little at the office, but in my opinion he is worth the wait. And no, no goody bags or new patient kits - but do you really need them? I got a pizza cutter once from a dentist. I guess that was cool.

They don't value their patients; will keep you waiting (to the point where I just left an appointment with no follow up/apology) but then will nickel and dime their patients when an elderly patient with illness has to cancel more than 24 hrs prior to appointment. They would rather lose our family of patients with expensive current and future dental work than be accommodating with a $40 late fee. Ridiculous

I've been going to Dr. Chen for years and have always been pleased with his rational and conservative approach (offering many options for dealing with my teeth, which are problematic after decades in my youth of grinding without a night guard). I've been to other dentists who always want to jump to the most invasive/expensive option, even if it's not really appropriate or necessary in my situation. Dr. Chen makes me feel like I'm an important part of deciding on the treatment plan (instead of dictating to me what the treatment plan WILL BE). I've always been happy with his work.

Receptionist wasn't friendly at all. The tech took x-rays and told me the dentist would be right with me. Thirty-five minutes later, I was still sitting there waiting. I almost left. Then the dentist showed up and either didn't know or acknowledge that I was sitting there forever. To top it off, it was one of the roughest cleanings I've ever gotten and that's from someone who has very health teeth and gums. Then when I left they don't give out the dentist goody bag with the brush, floss and toothpaste!! I know it's silly but that was the last straw. Never going back.
