Stayed at the Pruneyard after a wedding in downtown Campbell. I only live 15 minutes away, but didn't want to risk a DUI and knew I was going BIG for this one. Was able to stumble back from Villa Regusa in what felt like 10-12 minutes, but after 10 shots - it really could have been 112 minutes...

I'll give the Pruneyard a solid 4-star. The hotel is very nice, but not "stuffy." It is located in a cool little mall area with shops and restaurants. Decent rate too, $99 on a weekend. And I'm always a fan of free breakfast!

Lone complaint: WEAK shower in our room. Hardly any pressure, had to dock some pointage there.

I thought it was very odd and a little suspicious that the Pruneyard Plaza Hotel referred to their FeatherBorne® bed so frequently on every page their website. What do I care about what kind of bed they use? No. Actually. YES. I NEED TO KNOW. That bed is stupidly comfortable! Totally outrageous.

Things I loved about my 2 night stay:
- FeatherBorne® bed
- Complimentary video library
- Delicious apple juice served at Continental Breakfast

Things I did not love about my 2 night stay:
- The hot tub wasn't hot--in fact, it was FREEZING (in July)!
- No towels in the pool area (the information print-out the front desk gave us promised otherwise)
- Our A/C and fan didn't work (in July).
- Our windows wouldn't open.

I recently attended a wedding reception at the Pruneyard Plaza Hotel in Campbell and from start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. The evening began with drinks and hor d'oeuvres in a a very spacious cocktail bar. The service staff was very attentive. There was always someone there with a tray of appetizers or pouring drinks.

We were then directed to a very attractive and nicely decorated patio area for dinner and dancing and once again the service and food was exceptional. The staff was friendly and accommodating and all the guests seemed to be having a good time. It was a wonderful event!

My compliments to the leadership staff and personnel at this fine facility, especially Maricela Lau (General Manager), Michelle Johnson (Catering Sales Manager) and Cruz Monarca (Banquet Captain).

This place is beautiful: from the exterior to the lobby to the rooms. I wasn't staying there, a friend was, so I didn't pay nor did I speak to the concierges so I can't really speak about the service. From what I saw it's in a good area, has an abundance of parking, and is clean and upper scale. I would definitely stay there in the future.

Nothing to complain about.  Except it is a little hard to find because it is off the road a bit and behind another bldg.  First class service and so worth the money.  Everyone was so helpful and accomodating.  The matre'd at breakfast made me feel like I was at The Ritz Carlton.  Great area of town.  Walkable to dining, record store, massage.     Would stay again.

Two things:

1. Pruneyard plaza hotel is NOT easy to find. Expect to drive around parking lots, searching this place out (if you are sans-GPS that is). Expect to call the hotel for help, and receive vague if not incorrect advice. That being said, expect to be treated very well once you do arrive. In addition, you may find the location pleasantly convenient, as Pruneyard is located near a little outdoor shopping mall with restaurants and boutiques.

2. Pruneyard might be nicer than your average hotel/motel, but my room did not look like the one in the picture posted on this site by a fellow yelper. No way, that picture looks fabulous. We had a slightly larger than average hotel room with the typical layout. For our special wedding-block rate of $125 it was very nice, but nothing spectacular.

This was our third time staying at this hotel, this time for New Year's. This hotel meets all of my germophobe criteria, including clean floors  and clean bedding.  I do yoga every morning so I'm down there on the floor and I KNOW all of the dirty (excuse the pun) little secrets of hotels... and these folks pass the test.

PLUS, it's right next door to the Rock Bottom so we were able to drink and not worry about driving. I am not sure if rates are reasonable as my husband gets a discount through work- we paid $54, which in my book is EXCELLENT!  I'd stay here again and I'd recommend that our  out-of-town guests (particularly in-laws) stay here too!

I had a good experience staying at this hotel.  The staff was very friendly, the rates are cheap, the rooms all have free internet, and the hotel serves free breakfast and afternoon cookies.  It is also pretty charming in its decor.  Only thing that went wrong was that they neglected to deliver my morning newspaper, though that's easy to remedy.

Another wedding venue we looked at. It's right down the street from our house too!
It's a beautiful hotel, (another Larkspur.)
Unfortunately, for the number of people we're having, we could only have an outdoor reception.
Not what we're looking for, but it is still a nice venue.
The ceremony site is lovely, and everyone there was very nice.
There prices are fairly reasonable, if a bit high for what it is. Although, it is a great location!

I loved the atmosphere when I first walked in.  This is a Larkspur hotel and for the rate of $190.00 for the spa tub, king bed and fireplace, I was ecstatic!  The only problem we encountered was requesting tableware.  My boyfriend and I had gone to the local Whole Foods Market and purchased a bunch of groceries and wine for a romantic evening in.  We called down to room service and they said they could only provide us with plasticware. =(  We had champagne and wine and could only use the in-room water glasses.  So I recommend that you bring your own plates, wine glasses and silverware if you want to do what we did.  Also, our fridge didn't seem to be working too well either.  Aside from those two things, the location is great and the staff is very friendly.  You can walk to a number of places for dinner if you choose.  I am definitely going back.

Fantastic hotel.  Clean.  Nice service.  Cookies at 5pm.  Beautiful lobby.  Hot coffee in the morning + free continental breakfast.  Big rooms - ours on the 3rd floor had great tall ceilings.  Big spa tub that fits 2 snugly.  Comfy bed.  FREE internet.  Free parking.  We spent $116 (AAA rate) on a Saturday night!  Couldn't ask for anything more - highly recommend!!!

Attractive hotel, quiet, friendly staff, they have a dvd library and dvd player in your room. Some more expensive rooms have high ceilings, a fire place and spa tub. Very romantic.  It costs less on the weekend.  I was very pleased with this hotel. the worst thing was trying to find the ice machine LOL which really wasn't that bad, just more of a maze type thing. very clean and wonderful bath products.

the pruneyard, while perfectly decent, fancies itself a fancier hotel than it actually is, in my opinion. after looking at the website, i thought it would be a super posh hotel. it wasn't. it WAS clean, with friendly service, a pool, and free breakfast and many nearby restaurants. this makes for a solid three stars, but i would give it no more. the rooms were fine and much like any other holiday inn or courtyard marriott. the bathrooms in 2 rooms i saw had no tub, only a shower stall, while one room i saw had a standard tub. if you have a young child, the lack of a tub can be annoying. the tv's for some reason were missing a bunch of channels and their channel guides were wrong and the armoire holding the tv had doors that would not open all the way for optimal viewing. again, if you have a child and are looking for nickelodeon and can't find it, it can be annoying. also, for the dvd rentals at the front desk, there was only one children's movie.

the pool was relatively small and only got good sunlight for part of the afternoon because it's surrounded by walls on all sides. the hot tub is excellent as all hot tubs are. and the breakfast was really fancy shmancy for a continental breakfast.... but it was still a continental breakfast. hot coffee, oj, oatmeal, cereal, some fruit, muffins, bagels and toast-- with table service.

i wasn't displeased with this hotel. it's just that i wasn't super impressed either. still, for less than $200 a night, i suppose you still get pretty good bang for your buck.

This is a great hotel for out-of-town wedding guests to stay at. We book several rooms for our out-of-town guests, and they loved staying here. It was a good price range: not too expensive and not to cheap. But  best of all,  being right in the middle of the Pruneyard shopping center, our guests had plenty of things to do the rest of the weekend. They didn't need to worry  about driving around in an unfamiliar city because there are restaurants, movie theatres, and shopping all right there. Plus, we didn't need to worry about entertaining them every second of the entire weekend.

The hotel itself is nice, 2 penthouses overlooking the pool area, 5 rooms with jacuzzi bathtubs AND inroom fireplace, even comes with duraflame logs, kitchen suites adjacent to pool area. it's quite nice, and only two rooms in the hotel besides penthouses have balconies, rooms 269, and 369, which are the corner ends.  Previously Pruneyard inn hotel by wyndham, I had the pleasure to work at this property for close to 2 years and loved it.  Then you even got a hotel shuttle to airport and local area locations.  Breakfast I'm sure is just as great now as then, and if the mini bar in room still exists, that too just as great.
