Excellent
They are competitively priced for ceramic film and I used them last year to put it all my car windows. They put it on within 2 hours and it has dramatically cooled my car from the hot south bay sun rays! Best of all after a few minutes of air conditioning the car is very comfortable & cool even when the outside temp is over 90-100F.
I did have a small problem with bubbling on my side window - when I brought it in to get repaired they quickly replaced it with no questions.
Fantastic and well worth it -

Now, i'm no car expert. and i've never had a car tinted before. we decided to get it done because of our 2 young children that sit in the back and appear helpless as the sun beats mercilessly down on them. We have refused thus far to get a minivan- they all seem to be tinted out. so we thought this would be good to keep the car cool, keep their car seats from fading out, and hopefully not need to have to damn ugly roll down suction cupped things on the windows. hell they aren't that big and the sun always seems to be shining in the direction that the screen won't block it right.
The preferred image did a great job on our mercedes. Its an older S, and they said it was difficult because the class is double pane, and they fit very tight, and the weather stripping was difficult to deal with. the guy that worked on my car had practically the same model as i did, and he said it took him most of a day to dint his car (he did all 4 doors and the rear glass.)
i left worried that it might take longer than the 2 hours they promised. I got just the back doors and the rear window covered in 20%. So left with the 2 kids and wife to take care of some errands in palo alto. only an hour later the called me to let me know that i had some damaged wood molding on the rear door. i told them that it was ok, the glass guy that replaced the smashed window did that. I really appreciated that call. it shows attention to detail, and an understanding of people that drive cars they care about. the glass guy never called me back nor did they do anything to fix the problem. (its really minor so i didn't chase them down about it)
then 45 minutes later, i get another call telling me the car is done. wallah! faster than they told me it would be done. now how often does that happen????
the job looks great. tightly fitted to the edges, high quality film, no finger prints, clean car, no trimmings lying about, lifetime warranty. what else can you ask for... price was fair too. just a little lower than just about everybody else i called.
so i give this a highest rating although i always think of working on cars as pass or fail. -

I had taken my 2005 VW Passat Wagon here right after I purchased it new 5 years ago. They did an awesome job! Not only were they done sooner than the 4 hour quote, the car was spotless!
So when I got an older Mercedes Wagon, they were the first place I thought of. I figured it would be a bit more expensive because the car is bigger and the windows are bigger as well. Nope! I was quoted the same price, much to my delight!
These guys are super friendly over the phone and in person. They will also help you out with your decision(s) if you are undecided on your tint (I got the front windows done too, and was unsure of tint). I highly recommend them and I will definitely bring any future car I purchase, that needs window tinting, here! -

They did an excellent job on the tint and service was quick. Good location, and they even gave me a ride to work after I dropped off the car.
The only reason I'm Giving 4 Stars instead of 5 is that they didn't honor a quote that they had given me over email: I asked how much it would cost to tint front passenger, rear passenger, and rear window on a 2008 Acura TSX; they quoted me $200. However, when I arrived with email in hand they told me it would actually be $275. First they told me that it would be extra because of the rear window, then because of the felt lining to protect the tint. When I ask for a quote, I expect to be given one that will be honored, especially if I've provided the make and model, and I know for a fact that they've worked on that make and model in the past.Comment from Raphy D. of The Preferred Image 7/16/2009

Fast and good work! I have never had car windows tinted before, but they were very professional and did a great job. I dropped the car off on a Saturday morning, and they had it done in 3 hours for pickup that afternoon.

I emailed them for a quote, and Raphael emailed me back right away. Not the cheapest, but pretty on par for other places doing window tinting. They did a great job and even gave me a ride to the train station.

Got my rear windows tinted 5% (limo tint) on my 2007 Nissan Altima. everything came out looking good. I was recommended there by the dealership where I bought my car. Offers lifetime warranty. Car was done within 2 hours.

Fast. Quality. Inexpensive. So I didn't think ahead, and wanted my windows tinted asap! These guys were able to do it extremely last minute and within a few hours. They were a great deal (especially compared to nearby competitors), and they don't use the cheap film either. It was $195 for 5 windows, and they discounted $10 on top of that for a coupon I didn't know had already expired; they accepted it anyway. I highly recommend this place for all your window tinting needs!

A great place to get your car tinted. I have recently purchased a new car and was very excited about it. A great car and the only thing missing was a light tint to the back windows. I was a bit hesitant at first because of my past experience with my old car, but was put at ease by the reviews written on Yelp about Preferred Image. They were right on. Long story short, my car is now complete and it looks fantastic! I recommend Preferred Image for all your tinting needs.

1. Job done right

Well these guys did all 3 right. Called on a Friday afternoon. They quoted me over the phone for 3 windows in my F150 and said I could bring it in on Sat morning. Dropped it off at 9am. The price was so good I had them do the other 2 windows. Got a call at 11 that the car was done. I liked the fact that they had an in-and-out time. Most places like this tell you drop it off and we'll call you when it's ready. These guys gave me a time to come back and it was ready on time.
They have a lifetime guarantee and both guys at the shop were friendly and helpful in deciding what level of tint. -

Wishing to tint the windows on my Civic, I called a few places and they had the best price ($200 for 5 windows using SunTek - Carbon Series film). I brought it in and they were able complete the work in less than 2.5 hours. Excellent job and very courteous staff! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I phoned in the early afternoon for an appointment that same day. I was told to bring it in at anytime. Even though it was a Saturday, they got me in. 2 1/2 hours later, I had three windows and a front window visor section done to perfection. I'm taking another car by on Monday. The three windows (rear and two sides) and the front visor - all for $175.00. You can't beat their price. I would recommend them.
