Our trip to The Post Bar ended up being really convenient. The price of the food was reasonable- quality more than ok. The beer was a little more than the usual beer but it was a Pistons game night and it was still far better beer for less money then the Palace.
After our meal and beers we left our car in the parking lot and walked to the east entrance of the Palace. It probably took less time then walking from the far side of the parking lot inside the Palace that costs $10.
All in all the Post Bar worked out really well. -

This bar is an A-OK for Pre/post drinking before or after a Pistons game at the Palace. That's what we did! We had a drink beforehand and if it wasn't so cold we were considering leaving our cars here and hoofing it across Lapeer Road to avoid the parking mess after the game (and save $10). But, that probably would not have been a wise choice. I like Frogger as an arcade game, not a real life experience.
The drinks are cheap. We even saw two Piston players in here after the game. Since i am a DC gal now I don't know your players' names. One was really wide (carrying out three pizzas) and the other was the dude wearing the red sweatband across his head during the game. No big thrill, but kinda neat that the players would choose this place to come after a game.
I'd come again. It beats rushing home after idling in your car waiting to escape the Palace's parking prison across the street. -

i was here last week for my husband's work party and it was just okay.
upon entering we were given champagne which was warm and not too tasty.
we had the upstairs area reserved and our own bar and bartender. the room was a bit small for our size group but after getting drinks and eating people spread out and some went downstairs to play pool and foosball.
the upstairs area was extremely hot and we had to keep going downstairs to cool off. they opened a back door, but it just blasted part of the area with cold air while the other area was steaming.
there was nowhere to put our coats so we ended up throwing them over a chair in the corner and some people put theirs on a table.
the food however was pretty good, we had shrimp, wings, pot stickers, chicken tenders, chicken skewers and pizza.
i've been to the post bar once before on a weekend and it was jammed packed. i think i would come back here again to have dinner and drinks or for a private event, but on a busy weekend or before a piston's game i would skip it. -

Novi, MI
large location.
plenty of parking.
across from the Palace of Auburn Hills.
closed many nights of the week (WTF!?), but when they are actually open they rock.
"scenery" is hit or miss.
4 stars, i guess.
