Haaahaahah, are you effin kidding me? how bout cleaning the place once every few months? $5 cover for guys, girls in free. We walk in, and it smells like old puke! Seriously guys, when you get to work and your venue smells this bad, you really have to do something about it. I ordered 2 long islands (one for my brother, one for me) and they were actually decent. Bartendress was nice too, but the drinks and bartendress couldn't make up for the funk.
Minimum for credit card is $20, but that's no big deal. What may be a big deal to you is that the ratio of guys to girls is about 15 to 1, maybe 20 to 1.
After downing our drinks, we took off to get some breatheable air, and find a decent spot.
i came here this past sunday for a birthday. there was suppose to be wet t-shirt contests but nothing was happening the entire time i was there. LAME! i spent most of my time watching the little purple fish eat a dead fish in the aquarium -_-. that place was a total sausage fest as well lol. i think i liked it better as scruples. play bar will be a pass for me.
In an effort to explore my surroundings, we ended up here 1 wknd. My cousin's friend worked the door & let us in w/o cover and no wait. Which was good b/c the line on a Sat PM was ridonculous (as they say in the movies). The dance floor is tiny and the there was an abundance of military guys and other men that were contenders for an American Eagle photo shoot. The bartender wasn't that great and @ 1 pt charged $7 for an STP--are you freakin crazy!?! The music was decent and while we probably won't return, it was a good place for the girls to dance the night away.
Apparently this place used to be called Scruples. It changed owners I guess. It's an 18+ over club. The cover for 18+ is $15 I think and $10 for 21 and over. They play 80's & 90's music, hip hop, rap, pop, etc. One dance floor. It's dark in there and there is really no dress code. Guys cannot wear tank tops. The drinks were $1, but I was there on a Wednesday night. I am not sure if that is everyday or not. There are booths for you to sit at. It was a decent club for the music, but definitely not high end. If you want something cheap to go with a group of friends, this is a good place to go. My girlfriends and I had to start up the dancing earlier in the night, but we had our own fun.
we ended up going here, after ditching lotus. it was a lot more crowded and top 40 music. my friends and i had our own fun dancing and whatnot. oh yeah, the security guy let us in for free, since he remembered me and one of my friends from the night before (when i was too wasted and he let us out through the back hahah!) lots of hakujins doing their little awkward hakujin dance (hakujin boys dancing to beyonce's single ladies is definitely a no-no!) this is an OKAY place, but next time i'd like to check out club/lounge thats more hip and not so touristy.
