8 reviews for The Peabody Little Rock
Up-front caveat: I didn't stay at this hotel while in Little Rock. That said, I was there twice, once for drinks at Mallard's and the next day to see the ducks. Both occasions were great! Even for a hardened traveler like myself, it was pretty awesome to see the hordes of people, especially the little kids, come out for the duck walking. Just make sure your cameras are READY, since those ducks run like the wind down that red carpet.
As an added bonus, since Clinton was doing something in town that day, there were a dozen smoking hot nom-nom-a-licious Secret Service guys out front. A tasty presidential treat!

I will say that my biggest complaint is that we were double charged for one night valet parking. We thought we got it sorted out upon checkout, only to find out that they charged our credit card $50, rather than the $20 that they should have. So, rather than the original double charge of $40, they "corrected" it to "double charge and a half" of $50? Ridiculous.
For the price, I have stayed in much more beautifully and uniquely decorated hotels. I was just not impressed with the service or the decor or the comfort.
Sitting inside a hotel room on the club floor as I write this. I have stayed here a couple of other times. IMO, nicest hotel in Little Rock downtown area. Walking distance to a lot of restaurant and bar options. Comfort and location are the big draws here.
In response to a post below, there is wi-fi in my room. I believe it is available on all floors now, but I cannot confirm.
The only real downside to this place is cost. Not only is the room more, but the parking is $20 per night and valet only. That's worth a star downgrade right there.
Other things I don't like: no fridge or microwave in the room, not a flat screen tv, outlets near the bed are either full or hard to get to.
If this place is a little out of your budget, try the Double Tree. Renovated a couple of years ago I think, looks pretty new. It is right next door to the Peabody, and they give you a fridge and microwave in the rooms. Plus, a free delicious cookie. And free parking. I'd say the double tree is also 4 stars, but for different reasons (value).
A wonderful Hotel!
Only was able to spend 1 night there, but the service was good, the room was spacious, and the ducks were fun to see.
I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times and I really like. There a couple of negatives but they don't equate to the loss of a star which is why I gave them 5.
Positives:
~Clean hotel.
~Friendly & helpful staff!
~Super comfortable beds!
~Great gym!
~The ducks are very entertaining and cute!
Negatives:
~They need to get wifi. I wanted to catch up on a couple of my TV shows while I was traveling and had to sit at the desk in an uncomfortable chair so that I could have Internet access. Needless to say I only the patience to watch one of my shows.
~The walls are a little thin. You can hear people in the hallway and there is always someone slamming doors nearby.
~Breakfast is expensive. It's good but too expensive.
~Their gym is fantastic but if they had a pool it would be perfect!!
~Valet service is friendly but they get very busy. You never know how long it will take to get your car. And valet is the only option, at an extra $19 a night.
I look forward to my next stay here but needed to share all of my insights on this lovely hotel.

During my many visits to Little Rock, I usually stay here or at another River Market hotel. I recently stayed here with a friend who was visiting from out of town. She had mailed herself a package to the hotel and it was late but the front desk knew that we were expecting it and they rushed it up when it arrived. This is an awesome hotel and I will give it credit where credit is do. The level of service was second to none, however, when I called room service and ask for two wine glasses, I dont expect parfait glasses. That glass is reserved for drinks that have an umbrella in them not fine wine. You cant get the essence of the wine in that type of glass. I am sure that the person who took the call had no clue as to what a wine glass was. But the level of service and the speed at which it came was above the norm.
The Peabody is very clean and is always friendly. You must try it.

I kind of wanted to just make this 4.5 stars, but really, I only had one issue during my stay here. And it was little.
EVERYone is friendly here - maybe it's the South, or maybe it's all Peabody Hotels.
I was at the Peabody for a conference, and all of the staff made sure that I was comfy and on time for my flights and satisfied.
Prices are a little steep, but worth it.
My only complaint: I called the front desk during the evening some time (probably 7:30 or so) because I needed to reserve the free shuttle that they provide to the airport. They answered the phone after ALOT of rings, and then put me on hold for about 10 minutes. I hung up and called back around an hour later, and was helped immediately (and someone else answered the phone that time).
The hotel is in an awesome, convenient location - I was able to walk around and explore the town a little bit before taking the shuttle to the airport.

I loved staying at this hotel. They made such an effort to keep the guests happy, maintain a clean hotel, and offer help to us misguided tourists. The hotel food was phenomenal (overpriced, but much better than any of the restaurants we checked out on our own) and all of the meeting rooms were actually at a decent temperature. They had lounge music every night which helped the atmosphere. The free wireless internet in the lounge was also a big plus since most of us conference goers brought our laptops.
And of course the stars of the show were the Peabody ducks! I was more than a little thrilled to see them and they did a fabulous job. The quality of this hotel cannot be disputed--I highly recommend it to any visitors.
