The Partridge Inn
4 reviews for The Partridge Inn
I am currently struggling to browse the web on this hotel's awful internet connection. This is one of several things that is bothering me here. Our AC did not work in our first room, so we had to move to another. The guy at the front desk acted like he had been lobotomized, but another lady earlier was super charismatic, so you just don't know what you are going to get. The plants are fake.
There is a set of stairs blocked off that says "Historic stairs. Not intended for use." I just find this comical. They don't even provide an explanation. They are just a flight of stairs...
Service at the bar was slow and it was not crowded. The toilet rim would not stay up, which freaked me out when I was going to the bathroom and it came slamming down. Awful.
The place just feels to me like it isn't quite with it service-wise. It is a really cool building and a nice location, but for the money, I would not suggest it. Just stay at a Holiday Inn or something. Why not? Save your money. Now hopefully when I hit "Post," the internet will actually work!

I love the Partridge Inn and am a sucker for the rambling screened-in veranda and the Southern architecture. When I got married, my whole wedding party stayed here along with our other family and friends. My room was average and seemed pricey for what it was ($159/night with a group rate, which is high for a small room in Augusta). The best part, besides my love for the Southern charm, is the bar with the fabulous porch...rambling and huge...and perfect for cocktails. However, the service is mediocre...the bar closes early and the bartenders are not friendly--even on my wedding night when we brought plenty of business, they tried to close at 11 p.m. on a Saturday night (and there were three other wedding parties staying at the hotel that weekend). When I booked the rooms, I verified that their bar stayed open late as I knew that my lushy friends and family would want to party. I was told 1 a.m. but they last called at 10:45 p.m. until one of the groomsman had words with the manager. The second best thing is the Sunday brunch. Delicious with plenty of options including a raw bar and omelet station. It is expensive, but its well worth the money especially since you can sit outside on the beautiful porch.
This hotel is surely special, especially if you love the South like me.

Couple of hours drive time to a warm Antebellum patio with character. Worth a stop if you find yourself in the area. Drinks / dinner worth a diversion.
The accommodations are beautiful. Apparently they did some renovating and the interior is amazing. However, the woman at the desk had no clue how to check us in and she wasn't too friendly. After several minutes, someone came who could take care of it. No big deal. We got to our room and it was beautiful...... beautiful and SMALL. We had just finished moving out of our home and were going to be moving in to a home in Augusta the next morning. My husband, who has a bad back, was REALLY looking forward to a bath. Well, there was not bath.... only a TINY shower. I had enough room to turn a circle. I dropped the soap and had to squat to get it.... couldn't bend... had to squat! There was hardly any room in the bathroom. My husband and I couldn't get ready at the same time b/c it was so small!! It was like their priority was more rooms, not comfortable rooms. I would have expected more out of the nicest hotel in town....
