Absolutely phenomenal!  First, on a Thursday evening, it was packed (if that is any indication of how great it is).  Second, despite the crowd, service was great.  There were a couple slow spots, but with not an empty table, it's expected.

Most importantly, the food.  Appetizer: Half dozen oysters.  $1.95 normally, but $0.95 since it was before 6:30!  They were awesome!  Entree: The Oyster Company Cioppino.  1/2 Lobster tail, mussels, clams, shrimp and scallops in a lobster saffron stock.  So amazingly delicious.  The shellfish was perfectly cooked and, the stock was so tasty, I was soaking bread in it.  Dessert: Berries and Cream.  Yum!  For drinks, I shared a bottle of wine, which was cheap but very good (one suggested to go well with oysters) and finished with a pomegranate martini.

For not the largest restaurant, it feels surprisingly spacious.  No claustrophobia.  For a group of six, we had a large table in the back corner.  It had a divider partially separating it from the dining room, creating a private room atmosphere.

Of all the places on the Cape that I ate during my vacation, this was the best meal.  I will eat here again when I return in the future.

We only had one date night during our vacation in Dennis this year but thankfully The Oyster Company was the setting!

First, we were prepared to wait an hour but upon arrival we were seated immediately because another couple had not shown for their reservations. It was meant to be!

Six gorgeous oysters started my meal and at 95 cents a pop before 6:30 best deal of the night! I had the Seafood Cioppino. Delicious! Not one flavor dominated the savory broth. The seafood was perfectly cooked & came to the table beautifully presented. Jeff's fried shrimp were incredible large & sweet. Perfectly done! He tried a locally brewed beer ( Sharks Tooth?) and I indulged in an Organic Cucumber Martini. Both were well done & complimented our meals.

Service was professional but personable. Samantha was just attentive enough.

This was our best date night in Dennis to date!

Definitely a place to visit!

I have eaten at a large number of places on the Cape over the last 5 years.  Most are just mediocre to okay.
My husband and I went here tonight and walked away saying "why did we not know about this place sooner?"
There are many places on the Cape that claim to be high end cuisine, but in my opinion, most are just seasonal tourist food that disappoints more often than anything else.

We had one of the appetizer specials with tuna sashimi.  It came out buttery, smokey, and wonderful.  I lived in Florida for several years, and this tuna is the best I have had since I moved away from there.  I could have eaten a plate of it.
I also had the pan seared scallops on the regular menu as an entree.  I would have tried to lick the plate if I thought I could get away with it.  The scallops were perfectly cooked and were the best I have had on the Cape this season.  It wasn't cheap (about 24 for the entree) but worth every single penny.

This place is definitely going on the regular rotation when we spend time at the Cape.

Revisited the joint again this past weekend and decided to up the rating to 5 stars. They are worth it. We brought three other diners who are not big seafood eaters and they loved the food. The OC is 5 minutes from their house and now they are believers that there is seafood on the Cape beyond fried clams and lobster rolls (which are wicked good, but not to eat every day.) We ordered the Chioppino again, outstanding, see my previous review. The salmon was an interesting blend of sweet raspberry sauce and savory crumb topping that didn't over power the more delicate Atlantic salmon. I saw there was Stripped Bass special, but was concerned about the Asian influenced preparation. Stripped Bass is so delicate, usually anything more than some white wine and garlic can ruin the fish, but the sesame seed coating with mild teriyaki sauce and shaved vegetables work beautifully. The bass fillet was a nice thick piece of fish, cooked perfectly (actually all the fish was), and had just enough sauce to complement the sweetness of the bass. Well done OC, can't wait for our next visit.

Note: Oyster happy hour 5 - 6:30pm $.99 oysters.

I had a bit of a mixed experience here.  The waitstaff was very nice, our waitress was very personable and a lot of fun.  The restaurants decor itself had potential, you feel like they almost got it right- but just fell short.  A little too dark and still reminiscent of whatever cape cod themed restaurant it was beforehand.  The acoustics were horrific.

I had the caprese salad which was small on portions and big on price.  Not too impressed.

I think this could be a good spot if you want to get away from the typical Cape Cod restaurant, but I honestly didn't feel it was anything too special.  The website was more exciting than the actual visit.

These folks grow their own oysters!  If that's your thing, then you have hit pay dirt.  Boston Magazine voted them the best oyster Bargain around, and Yankee Magazine gave them the Executive thumbs up!

I don't eat bi-valves usually, but I had the Scallops wrapped in bacon.  Yum!  Often, Scallops are a bit chewy, but these were tender and lovely.

My sweetie had the Chicken Marsala, and loved it, but kept stealing my Scallops, anyways.

My order came with Colcannon, which should have had me in raptures; but they stuck sour cream in it, which made it mashed taters with cabbage in it.  Not Colcannon, but good.

Service was impeccable:  friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive.  The decor was low-key, though really classy.  This is a really nice place to visit while on the Cape.  Not the usual Churn and Burn experience.

Our experience at The Oyster Company was fantastic from start to finish!  The meals and wine were priced appropriately.  The food was so fresh and so healthy.  Not overdone with pasta, rice or cheap fillers.  The oysters were so fresh and the bread was heavenly.  Thank you for a great experience....we'll be back!!!!

I was surprised that Denniport had such a cool little restaurant. The waitstaff were very friendly. We were there on a Thursday night and it was not too crowded. We started with Sashimi Oysters which were incredible. They were local oysters with sushi tuna on top with some other Asian flavors, wow. My wife had the Ahji tuna rare. I'll just say here that she wanted to lick the plate clean.  I had the Lobster Fettuccine, nice pieces of lobster mixed in a light cream sauce over fresh pasta. Also very good. We forgot to leave room for dessert, maybe next time.
