This is such a great resource for the Bay Area music scene. These guys are good friends with the people who run sonic living (they share a building over), and I have the say, between the two sites I've started spending so much more money on concerts and know about so many more bands. The owl mag is great because not only do they throw monthly parties, but they give away free tickets. I happened to get my hands on some of them. Winning free tickets is like winning the lottery, only you don't have to decide what to do with the money.

As far as content on the web page, they seem to have a good staff of writers, as all the reviews are well composed and up to date. I don't often buy CD's so seeing the reviews here can often say me one way or the other.

Damn I feel pathetic writing this, but I've earned a little me time. As The Wolf would say: "Let's not go sucking each others d$@ks just yet" (Pulp Fiction) but I feel strongly about this. The Owl Mag fills a void in the Bay Area music scene. You can read music news, reviews, features and watch videos about local Bay Area artists, emerging/unsigned bands, independent DIY-ers and those that have "made it." Plus you can party with The Owl Mag at local venues.

If there was a heaven on the internet it would be The Owl Mag. I know we will be seeing big things in the near future from this tiny giant...it's run by blood thirsty music lovers!
