I have always heard about the Harrah's Automobile Collection in Reno. But when I read the book "When all the lights were on", about Bill Harrah, it kept mentioning the auto museum in the old ice house in Sparks. Well I finally found it. You can see it just east of John Ascuagga's Nugget off of US 80. The building is huge and even after all these years. it is is very good shape. The letters that spell out Harrah's Automobile Museum is faded but you can still read it even from the freeway.
Although the building is now occupied by another company, I only could imagine the stories it could tell us about the passion that Bill Harrah had for his automobile collection
If you like nostalgia and admire Bill Harrah, you should take a ride and see this place.
