OMG!!!!! Greatest pot roast in the world. All around best food at reasonable prices in a great atmosphere !!

Went here yesterday for lunch and was highly disappointing. I got the fried clam basket which was lacking presentation and flavor. Everything just tasted...fried. I wouldn't have been able to tell you I was eating clams if I had not known what I was getting. My boyfriend got the shrimp po-boy which was pretty lack-luster! A few obviously frozen shrimp on a slightly toasted store bought hoagie roll... definitely not worth more than 2 bucks! The service was mediocre and the atmosphere was nice but I will never spend my money here again. You should skip this place completely and head straight to the Back 40 Urban Cafe for your lunch or dinner needs!!

Went here with 4 adults and 4 kids all 7 and under as we were vacationing in St. Aug. Loud, very casual place so it suited us fine. All went in very casually dressed, we actually saw one woman walk in a bikini w/o a coverup. Guys liked, women didn't...but that's not really relevant to this review. :)
We went around 6 and it was still happy hour. Great prices on drinks and then the food portions were very good as well as being pretty tasty. Was I blown away, no? Was it good and mostly reasonable, yup.
Broiled options .99 upcharge. They don't do anything for birthdays (the adult women were both celebrating, and all this place could do was put candles on a dessert you ordered. -

This is not at the beach - not even close. This is a bar with some very inadequate food. I had a fish sandwich and it clearly was frozen fish, microwavaved and then sautéed - atrocious. Don't go here for the food - go for the many TVs and the beer. Inexpensive and borderline service

After a sunscreened and salted body day complete with sand crusted toes, me and my little ones LOVE the Oasis. Located just off the beach...seriously, right there!...this is our favorite stop for yummy fried food and a super casual atmosphere (nobody cares if we have sand stuck to our legs!).
I am quite sure the food isn't superior to others, but the atmosphere and friendly staff make it a sure stop on our way back home from the beach. This place is kid friendly, even though it really is a bar, and the patio with the breeze, the pretty quick service, and nice waitstaff keep the kidlets entertained and full-bellied for the drive home.
I have been going to this little place, which is now a much bigger place, for twenty years...and I still love it. This is a St. Auggie beach landmark and will continue for years to come. Hungry and thirsty beach goers and tourists are sure to love it too. -

"Midnight at the Oasis"....We always sing this when we go to the Oasis.
We love it for what it is. A place to drink and eat decent food for a decent price. Oh and people watch! My husband and I love to go have a few drinks and watch a game on one of the gazillion TV's. Food is no big woop. This visit we wanted to watch some basketball so we headed upstairs, but it was packed. So, we walked down to their outside patio. We had a very nice and efficient server. I wish I could remember her name! The only thing I will say about the patio is the music was pretty abysmal. It didn't have the vibe of a beach bar, more like an old folks home. It was a creepy sort of jazz that should only be played during brunch at the retirement villa. Kenny G would have been upset!
Come on, Oasis! Keep it beachy and current! -

Yuck. Expensive for greasy bar food. Lunch was mediocre, couldn't tell what kind of fish I was eating in my blackened fish sandwich, but it was slimy on the inside. Anyone have suggestions? Paid 9 bucks for it, and that's all, fries or potato salad was extra. Bread was too moist. Ate it because I was hungry because we missed breakfast. Actually that was the reason we went there in the first place, breakfast. Their breakfast used to be good and even made up for the scraggly bar appearance and smell of stale beer. But, they must have changed their menu cause now breakfast is only served at limited times, and I guess since I'm a late riser when I'm on vacation I'll have to pass on this place indefinitely.

Whether traveling up from the south, down from the north, or just vacationing in St. Augustine Beach, the Oasis is a colorful oasis, complete with bikers, RVers, beach lovers, sports fans, beer lovers, and especially, God's gift to man - icy cold fresh oysters on the half shell. It's loud, crowed and festive, with no less than a dozen flat screens assaulting the senses from every direction.
The Manorcan chowder is a spicy local fish soup, and the New England clam chowder offers award winning comfort and flavor. The extensive pub menu is mouth watering, and the drinks are free flowing. Service is happy, efficient and friendly. I will go out of the way to stop here whether staying in town or not . A short drive from I-95 over to A1A is worth the effort. The joint is aptly named.

I truly believe the location is the main reason this place stays busy.
I had a fish wrap and it was delicious.. the margarita was a little on the weak side and liquid-y.
Service should have been better. -

Just wanted to add that the Chili Cheeseburger is awesome (if you opt for non-seafood). I had the broiled scallops last night and they were good but not great. If you're upstairs, try getting Jessica, she's great.
Also, try to hit the place when "Those Guys" are playing.Listed in: Essential St Augustine

Gainesville, FL
I could give this place two different ratings. I will start with the positive - the bar is great , you can always find interesting regulars and tourists to talk to and they pour a good drink. The staff is always very friendly and is a mix between good looking women and guys who always like to shoot the breeze. They have live music, almost every night, from solo acts to bands playing music you would expect to hear near at the beach. The place is packed every time I go there.
On the down side I have never thought the food is that great. The fish in the sandwich I had was mushy and the clam chowder is very bland. The oysters are good, but it is hard to screw that up.
Overall I really enjoy going to the bar, getting a cold one, listening to the music and watching the day go by.Listed in: St Augustine

We hit this after a loooong day at the beach, completely exhausted and craving seafood. We loved all the food, it was greasy, salty and absolutely delicious. Service was great, atmosphere was nice and casual.
Definitely a favorite, will definitely go back! -

Back in the day (how I hate that phrase) this used to be THE casual place to come to. I'm sad to say that with subsequent visits over the years, the food and service have been a disappointment. I'm not sure if one of the reasons is because they expanded (Oasis used to be teeny tiny).
Whatever the reason- please come back old Oasis- you used to be a real find. -

The food here was pretty good, albeit a little bland. The prices were average, but they had a pretty good beer selection.
This is definitly a good place to take kids. Its loud, there's video games and T.Vs, and a lot of kids food to choose from. -

I'm going to write this review of Oasis strictly as a drinking establishment, as I did not have the chance to eat any food on my recent trip in. I think the other Yelpers have covered that aspect quite well, however, so just check out the other reviews. Rest assured, if I had the chance to spend more time in this place gulping down delicious beer, I would've definitely ordered SOMETHING.
Location- great. Located right off A1A just near the beach. The ocean breeze hits you as you're walking in, and it has a very relaxed, beach-going vibe to it. There is a large restaurant type seating area downstairs, or you can head upstairs to a more bar type atmosphere. Lots of tables, and a huge bar offer up plenty of seating, even on busy nights. There are TONS of flatscreen TV's lining the room, where you can usually catch sports channels, although they do offer all the NFL games on Sundays, and I believe UFC fights, as well.
They have a full bar, of course, but the draft beer selection is very impressive. I was very happy to see that they had Sam Adams on tap, but then.... No way. Sam Adams Octoberfest? SCORE! Hard to find my all-time favorite beer on tap, but it's here at Oasis. That automatically made my night, and it would take a lot to knock it down.
Overall, the atmosphere was very chill. A lot of folks, young and old, sitting around, drinking beers, eating bar food, and watching sports. The service was very good, my waitress was very attentive, but very relaxed, and really took care of us. No drama here, and that's the way I like it. I would definitely drop a five star on this place, however it is a tad bit pricey... you're looking at about five dollars a draft. I absolutely don't mind paying that for delicious Samuel Adams on tap, but it's hard to swallow paying that for a Miller Lite. However, it is nice to find a place that offers up a fun atmosphere with no drama, tons of great beers on tap, and good service. Oasis is that place. Will definitely be back some time again soon, and will try to sample some food! -

I'm stuck up north until March. When I get back to St. Augustine my first food and beer stop will be The Oasis. Breakfast is always great and staff friendly. Oh yes, never miss St. Pats day party,

I've been going here for years with the most recent visit being a couple months ago. It's always been a good place to eat. Lots of greasy and fried foods. I recommend their burgers and their breakfast.

Just terrible. Teen staff that could give two hoots about your dining experience. Ordered apps and entrees and both appeared at the same time. When we mentioned it would have been nice to have had a moment to eat our apps, the waitress asked if we wanted it put under the heat lamp for a while. That was grilled grouper, are you kidding? And that was one pitiful small portion for the $17 price. Never again.

Fried food (from the sea and otherwise) in all it's greasy glory. The beer's cold, the fries are salty and the grouper sandwich (which is almost certainly not grouper) comes with a pickle. Ask for a bottle of Tabasco if you like to spice it up, as this stuff comes a little bland, but it is definitely fresh out of the fryer.

We love Oasis for breakfast! They have excellent omelets, pancakes, and muffins. We have eaten lunch and dinner here and it is enjoyable, but our favorite is Breakfast! Also, I would have this on my list for watching sporting events since they have an amazing amount of televisions available.

Okay, so he peels the label off his Bud. According to a very sweet bar tender here at Oasis, this is a true sign of sexual frustration. NOT. But thanks for the warning. Stopped in for a quick beer and to admire all the bikes out front. Harley Man reigns!!!! Very amazing beer selection on tap, so, good place to quaf a few and get acquainted. Didn't eat; couldn't get the smile off my face long enough.

Located near the beach, this eatery is a good place to stop by for breakfast before heading out or for dinner at the end of the day. We came here on the recommendation of a co-worker and were a little disappointed. The food is decent, but don't expect anything special. The conch fritters are more bread than conch. The dipping sauce for the fritters was nice and spicy. The hamburgers are meaty .... thick and tasty patty topped with ham. We would return for their homemade desserts ... chocolate sauce tops and complements their creamy peanut butter pie well.
