5 reviews for The Noodle Cafe
My husband took me here the other night because he had received a gift certificate from work. This is easily a few steps above the cafe they have in Wilmette, which we have been to a few times and enjoyed.
The service here is definitely at a higher level with the wait staff and bus boys being very attentive and the food even seemed to be prepared more carefully.
Besides the service, the tomato basil soup was the highlight of the evening. It is creamy and delicious, easily the best I have ever had!
Our bill ended up being just a few dollars more than the gift certificate so my husband handed it over with a few dollars to cover the rest. When our waitress came back she handed his money back to him and told him that they had comped the few dollars over the gift certificate! I was very impressed by this and thought it was very nice that they would do this. We didn't mind paying the extra, but it just felt very hospitable to have them pick up the extra few dollars.
I'm sure we will be bringing my in-laws here the next time they are in town to visit.

After many years of hearing about The Noodle from my parents, I was finally able to try this adorable restaurant for myself. I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed everything about this place and can certainly see why it's regularly packed with people enjoying the fresh pasta.
This little place is really warmly decorated, cute bar area and nice dining area. There's even an outside eating area.
Our waitress was super friendly, quick and courteous. My parents informed me that she's been working there since the place opened a number of years ago. The bus boy gets props too since he noticed that my dad had bit his lip and was bleeding - he brought a wet paper towel and some napkins. I thought that was the sign of good service.
First off, the garlic bread they serve you. OMG warm, chewy, garlicy goodness! It was so good, we had to ask for more because I couldn't stop shoveling it in. Then, you get a salad with your entree. Really great, house made garlic dressing (uh-oh, garlic. good thing I wasn't planning on kissing anyone for a while). Finally, the meal - house made pastas that are cut when you order your meal. I had the linguine with seafood pomodoro sauce. DIVINE. The tomatoes were sweet, the sauce spicy, the pasta perfect. This was one of the best pasta meals I've ever had.
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. I would certainly come back and would highly recommend The Noodle to anyone looking for a great meal.
I was not all that impressed with this place. My wife loves pasta and we live five minutes away, so we were excited to go here. The food was average and the service, slow and pretentious. I most likely will not go back.
One of the nicer restaurants in Glenview. The food is usually good and the atmosphere warm and welcoming, but they could spruce up their decor a bit....it's a little dated (with its stenciling images painted on the walls). Other than that, it's a nice place for a low-key meal (though I think they consdier themselves fancy). We really enjoyed our visit there last Christmas when they had Christmas carollers.
