I love attending events @ the Moore Building!!!!
Open, airy and fun...and might I mention that some of my Miami's best restaurants are only a few feet away!!!!

Jackie S dragged me here recently for a MCALLAN event. This building is beautiful. It's antique feature almost made me feel like I had stepped out of 2011 Miami.
Great place to have an event. -
Review from Jane K.
Absolutely gorgeous space for an event. And since the space can hold up to 2,500 guests...you basically can throw any sort of event here. The 1st floor is open cement flooring with high ceilings and a front and back entrance.
Walking up the grand main staircase you'll get to subsequent floors above that look out over the main floor balcony-style. But these aren't normal balconies - the floor space is more than enough to hold sampling tables, dancers, and plenty of mingling guests. A total of four floors with a glass, sky-lit ceiling and a day event is both chic and classic. For evening the lighting is stylish -- you won't find a lick of flourescent glows here. The organic art structures that stretch across the middle area add an air of excitement and beauty to a rather simple canvas.
With an elevator, load-in door and prep space in the back, the Moore Building is the perfect venue for a spectacular party! -

Oh how I love the Moore Building! If I could choose a building in all of Miami to join in wedlock like that weird lady who married the Eiffel Tower, it would be The Moore Building. I've been here for a couple of events including Wine Enthusiast's Toast of Town. I'm in love with it's industrial-looking facade and the cast iron staircase inside. I love that it has multiple personalities and can be the perfect venue for different types of events. From art galleries to fashion events to food and wine tastings, it's a magnificent, multifunctional space. I especially love Zaha Hadid's cool art installation, "Elastica" on the ceiling. If you haven't been here yet, you are truly missing out.

What a gorgeous building. Perfect setting for any kind of event or special function. It's old warm charm is so intoxicating. Every time I come here for an event, I am more and more mesmerized with all of it's beauty.
Wrought iron rails going from floor to floor, huge open spacious spaces to support anything your mind can imagine. And yes I may be biased but "Yelp Summer's Night Dream" took over this space last year for our event and to this day no other event can compare.
This historic beauty has it all if done the right way. When you walk in the air is filled with elegance, history of architecture, in a sultry decor. Level after level of hard wood floors, beautiful staircases, perfect for picture setting's.
Charity events, party's, you name it this building can handle any kind of function. It is huge with plenty of room for many people. Get a band a DJ, food, bars, oh the set up can be endless.
One of my favorite places in Miami to come. Pure beauty in the Design District, awesome location.Listed in: My L-O-V-E List.....xoxoxoxo

I don't think I would have ever heard of this place if not for an event that took place here.
It is located in the Miami Design District and it is one of the most unique, charming, and spacious spaces I've ever been to.
From the outside, it is the epitome of historic Miami architecture, just gorgeous. When you walk inside, you are taken aback at the unique layout. It has three floors with each floor winding around the building and with an open space up trough the middle of the room that has a cool sculpture going from floor to floor (see pics).
This place is perfect for any event, and the best part is that it's so distinctive! -
Review from Amber L.
GREAT space for an event!! From the outside on in, this place invokes a good time.
Located right in the thick of the Design District, The Moore Building is a wide-open space with four floors of peripheral walking space. You can stand on the top floor and look down into the middle, watching everything going on. What I love most about this building is that it can be PACKED with people and things and no matter what, it still feels so spacious! The air conditioning system must be very advanced because it feels great no matter what corner of the building you land in. The acoustics are awesome too because music can be pumping on the first floor and you can still hold a comfortable conversation, even find a quiet space somewhere up top.
It's really a great event space. Perfect for anything - birthday parties, weddings, etc. -
Review from Sergio F.
I must have nodded off through my design classes :)
Despite the various events I had been to at the Moore Building - the lovely Yelp Summer Nights and the cool Heineken Inspire - I had been remiss in connecting the lovely patio next to the building. I had enjoyed plenty of free drinks during art walks past there, sitting on the outdoor couches and gazing at the stars through the trellis ceiling.. I just never made the connection!
Besides, the beauty of the Moore Building proper - the open central corridor, the wood flooring and the funky shapes of the bracing system and the funky colored bathroom doors - the entry garden has a string-like trellis ceiling, enough trees and cool copper doors that make for good acoustics.
The lesson here: keep your eyes open to enjoy all the beauty Miami has to offer! -
Review from Carla L.
If we have anything called 'historic' here in Miami, this building is part of what our history is.
A beautiful building that has a spacious interior where each floor winds around the building with an open space up to the ceiling. There is an amazing sculpture that runs throughout the floors to the top. We went for an event and it was the perfect place to have it. Just be careful if you are drinking with the stairs. I hear they cater to all different types of events. Its definitely a 'different' option to hold a special party. -
Review from Hannah S.
Love this building and its antiquey charm. How many old school Miami buildings offer four floors of spectacular strolling room? Fit for any event, especially the biggies.
The view from the fourth floor looking almost makes you woozy, but the railings will keep you reined in.
The one downside to this place is that there are bathrooms only on the first floor, and the stairs are a little on the steep/slippery side.
Otherwise, I LOVE this place and look forward to every opportunity I can to attend an event here. Nothing but the best! -

If you or your company are looking to stage an event in Miami - the Moore building is definitely a venue that will guarantee a huge bang and a resounding success.
The eclectic interior in addition to being a work of art within itself is versatile enough to allow a cohesive atmosphere, excellent and readily available facilities, usable spaces every where and a true Miami landmark, this place is a true gem in the Magic City -
Check it out ! For sure there will be something worth writing about happening there ...Listed in: The Design District

What a great venue! There is nothing really else to add that my fellow yelpers have not said.
Companies who host events here should take the opportunity to be so creative in a space that lets you! -
Review from Ashley M.
I have been to two events here now, and this building is absolutely beautiful. Heineken Inspire and Yelp Summer's Night Dream were held here - and the architecture of the building just adds that extra glamour to any party.
The interior beams are just so phenomenal and the way that all the floors are still connected to the party makes large events still feel intimate.
Heineken Inspire's event also had the DJ booth floating up and down the floors, which was a great touch.
There are just so many reasons to love this building, I will definitely be putting this on my list for wedding reception possibilities!!! -

When you're looking to have that special event, The Moore Building should be at the top of the list. Spacious, it's large enough for just about any kind of event, from a wedding to industry gatherings. From the main balcony, you get a spectacular view of the main floor, which is perfect for dancing or large meet and greets. Modern sculptures bridge the three floors and add a unique visual twist. Since it has an open space going through the middle you can view what's happening on the three floors which gives a feeling of being connected to the event no matter where you are. Outside it speaks classic, but inside it's modern and spacious, the perfect place for that special event.

If you've ever driven by this building you know it's different.
If you've ever walked by and you've seen Domo Japones in one corner and the Garden Lounge on the next corner then you know that this place is cool. Especially on the second Saturday of the month when it's officially gallery night.
If you've ever been to a party in this building, you know it's a beautiful, enormous location that holds some of the best events held in this nightlife loving city.
If you've ever been to the Moore Space, the gallery located on the 2nd floor then you know that the Moore building houses some of the smartest exhibits in Miami.
They say some buildings have personalities, if so then you know this one is a party loving, art star with a thing for sushi. -

This building is just great. old school design on the outside and old school in the inside. Of course that is just to bland so they decided to put a nice abstract pillars across the open area. The Moore building has been host to many great events, parties, and memories.

first, their statement...
THE MOORE SPACE/MISSION STATEMENT
The Moore Space is dedicated to presenting international contemporary art forms. It will achieve this through an experimental program of cross-disciplinary exhibitions, performances, artists and curators residencies and public programs which reflect the state of contemporary art today: new forms, new voices and new thought.
this is really one of the places pushing the limit in miami. there's always something going on and most of it is really out there! this is not one of those places that pops up when art basel is in town. they're here and they're here to stay. in addition to hosting performances, exhibitions, and installations, the moore building also has an ongoing lecture series.
check their schedule to see if something interests you... if not, go during the gallery walk (art + design night). i heart second saturdays -
Review from Jordan N.
The Moore Building is one of the major artistic venue in Miami's Design District that gives the entire neighborhood a certain vibe and groove. It is a fun place to be, to gawk at art, spaces, and people's creativity (unless if someone rented most of the space for a huge mammoth New York-style party decorating all space in red, with some geishas in kimonos dancing (with the dressed-up trendy partygoers) to a spiked music being played by a DJ. If this is the case, you're only left outside to admire such weird cultured excess through the building's huge windows that flank its walls.
Can we say "Oh... soooo MIAMI!" 'Cuz I did that when I actually saw all this last Saturday.
What was I doing here? It was Art + Design Night in the Design District, a time when everyone comes out to look at the numerous art galleries on and near the area along NE 40th St between N Miami Ave and NE 2nd Ave from 6 pm to 10 pm. There were hors d'oeuvres, champagne, mixed drinks and all. The 2nd Saturdays of every month brings the Design District alive at night and it is the place to be to be seen.
One of my favorite place to be in the Design District at this time is the Garden Lounge, right next to The Moore Building - it is sleek, modern, and outdoorsy (pray it doesn't rain) that people go there to lounge around and drink mixed drinks that are served from numerous bars in and around the area. It's a good place to be to chill with friends and to listen to music (although it is not the only place to do so in the Design District on the 2nd Saturdays of the month).
There was supposed to be free valet parking, but I had arrived a little bit later after the start of the block party, so I had to park on my own. But that wasn't terribly difficult to do especially considering how hard it can be to park at South Beach.
So, if you happen to be in town during a 2nd Saturday of the month, I recommend you to pay a visit to the Design District! -

What a beautiful venue! I found the Moor Building to be spacious yet intimate at the same time. I recently went there for Sassy City Chicks Fashion Bash: Miami and was thoroughly impressed by this choice of venue for an event like this. I would love to go to another event that takes place here. Its location is perfect in the Design District.

What a fabuluos structure! It is absolutely regal and ideal for large events (such as this weekend's magnificent Yelp Summer Night's Dream)! This building can fit hundreds of people. Lighting can be intricate or simple. The interior architectural designs help the lights bounce off of everywhere. The design of the building will suit just about any styled event - traditional or modern. Perfect for corporate and/or large scale events.

Miami Beach, FL
Such a beautiful building!!! I've been there twice now for events and each time I'm just awed by the inside of the building. The solid white walls and the contemporary molds with the traditional dark wood stair case really makes you appreciate the finer details of the space. It's a great place to host events whether for an art show, a shopping event or even a wedding. It's a chic venue where you almost have to do nothing to create an upscale atmosphere. There are 4 floors but usually only the first three are utilized but are all open in the middle so you can gaze up and down to see the action on all of the floors. If you are looking to host an event for a few hundred people I would definitely recommend this space.

I was truly impressed with this venue. I am a fan of historical buildings and this one being built in the 1920's is outstanding. As an event venue the Moore Building is exceptional. I am looking forward to attending more events here.

This building is just minutes from my home and made my Thursday night a remarkable one. I went to the Genart event last night to have a few cocktails and see if I saw something I would like by an up and coming designer. There were bags and jewelry and exciting clothes everywhere. The place was packed and this building was the castle that held it all. The rich dark wood staircases and the quirky colored doors, brought a sense of a time long ago with the fresh contemporary style that anything vintage brings to the table nowadays. This building si sophisticated without the pretentiousness, I could booty dance on the 3rd floor and waltz on the dground level and feel equally comfortable doing both. It was beautiful, it seemed so full of history and definitely a stellar place to host anyting. I can't wait to have a reason to go back here!
