Very annoying... The mikey show is like the kid in the group that everyone hates because he wont shut the &^%* up. Seriously tho, if you want a good morning show listen to 91x. They are different, but like wine they get awesome over time. You might not understand them at first, but after a few days a guarentee you never listen to anything else.

meh, this is sorta tough.....i do sometimes like to listen to the show, but sometimes its just a bit too cheesy for me, or mikey goes off on one of his political/religious rants and i just tune out. sky does def. have the most annoying voice on radio anywhere, makes me cringe. ashley should get tested for retardation (if it isnt all an act). eddie should try taking mikey's piece out of his mouth sometime so he can breath. shawn should find different equipment so it doesnt sound like he is stuck in a closet somewhere. zeth should, wait, is he still on the show? b-rob should get his own show, other than his bad taste in sports teams, he is actually pretty funny.
a few weeks ago mikey was talking about one of his favorite target, barack obama. he started talking about how America must be crazy to even consider electing this guy based on his name alone. wow #1, how on earth can anyone be soooo dumb and closed-minded. wow #2, there are people even dumber than mikey listening to the show and their votes in november could very well be influenced by a right-wing bible-thumper right here in SD.
some bits def. make me laugh though, cant deny that, but overall its just velvetta cheesy with an overabundant splash of audio-clips.

This has to be the worst morning show in San Diego. Skye (spelling??) has the most annoying irritating voice in San Diego. Ashley sounds extremely fake and has this ridiculous forced laugh that she blurts out every two seconds at things that are not remotely funny. And she has to be the stupidest woman in San Diego or it is a hell of an act. The whole group minus Boston Rob is just extremely self-absorbed and not the least bit funny. It is like they went and stole stupid little bits from successful morning shows and melded it into one giant piece of dung, that is the Mikey Show in a nutshell. I love 101.5's morning show....with Chainsaw...so much better and professional than this amateur production.

Its on 94.9 and they are playing a nice array of commericals.
Change tunings to 91x. Yet more commercials.
Finally up to 105.3 and The Mikey show is on. For a minute I thought it was just another commercial. I got bored of the banter very quickly.
So to option #4... Blazin 98.
I am sick of seeing Mikey's mug on half the billboards in San Diego.

Isn't it sad that even though they're the best morning show in San Diego, I can only give em 3 stars?
Seriously I was a P1. Unfortunately the show has gone down the shitter. They took away the best things that made the show great. Their crude humor and innovative show bits. Tyrone and Tortilla was awesome. They probably took it off air because it might have been too raw. The Tough Love section is old and needs some help. They don't play "Say What?" Karaoke as often. Mikey has become a pompous @ss and I'm sick of his judgmental and often passive racial remarks. Eddie and Shawn are great still but they seem to be pushed to the side by Mikey's ego. They, especially Eddie, have seem to follow Mikey's ways. Eddie would make a great host by himself. Sky sound's like her heart isn't into the show anymore but she is still into ham. Boston Rob is great because he is who he is. Ashley still has a cute irritating voice that gives you comfort knowing she's going to say something stupid if you just wait long enough. The problem is I'm sick of waiting and I've tuned out. Bring back the old format and get back your P1s. For now, I'd rather listen to Chainsaw or J&J.
PS 91X morning show is even worse than the Mikey show. Atleast they have that going for them.

This show sucks. They are all extremely annoying and boring. That one chick has the worst laugh in the history of radio. Just shut up. I don't know why it gets so much advertisement. They need to just play music in the morning...

LAUGH OUT LOUD~ No, not LOL... they have a great clip that says just that. From Ashley's tone def voice to Rob's macho narcissism this show will keep you laughing for hours. The best thing is Mikey's grounded rational demeanor. He is someone that you can listen to, laugh with and don't feel is even the least bit morally reprehensible.
If you don't like it...you are not funny and I don't want to know you! =)

I just moved away from San Diego after 4 years, and the thing I am most traumatized about leaving is the Mikey Show. The fact that I can't listen to Mikey on my morning commute is beyond horrifying to me. I still listen to it as I get ready in the morning over my internet feed, and I am TRYING to listen to it online at work...GOD willing that works out. I have yet to find anything around here that is even remotely as personal, funny and creative as the Mikey Show. I miss Boston Rob's "Boston" accent, Mikey's comforting voice and Ashley's hideous singing!
If you haven't checked out Mikey yet...do it. Hilarity!
I've been listening to the show for about two years now. It's not as great as it used to be, but some of the things they do are very entertaining. For instance, Cheaters Hotel keeps your ears close to the radio at all times. They have viewers e-mail the station if they think their significant other is cheating, and the hosts on the show call the alleged cheater up and tell them they have a free night at a hotel, and the catch is that they have to provide the name of their guest so they can put it on the "champagne package". If the alleged cheater gives a different name than their sig. other, it's go time!
The sports coverage is awful though. I may be a little biased because I cover sports as well, and their knowledge pales in comparison than what I would consider a feasible sports journalist. Overall though, the show is entertaining and the hosts are people you can jive with.

What else there to say this is by and far the absolute best radio show in San Diego!!!
i bought a radio for my house JUST so I could listen to the Mikey Show in the mornings. It's great--and I'm bummed when I have to turn it off to go in to work. I've been listening since I moved here 6 months ago--and look forward to it every morning. It makes waking up just that much easier and bearable!! The stuff they do and say is hilarious--I'm cracking up most mornings. P1 army!!!
