I enjoyed this place. Yes, it is in a weird locale, away from anything that is truly "Napa". No, it's not that far...but behind the corporate park, the location leaves you asking "wtf?" Yes, the rooms are roomy, comfortable and quaint. No, there aren't that many beautiful vineyards to overlook.
I reviewed the restaurant (Siena) and spa (Spa Terra) separately. As a resort, this place has potential. It's a good spot for a nice getaway, especially if you are not looking for active nightlife or an abundance of drunk wine tasters. Even though it's south of downtown, it's really not that far. The one negative was that our room had a funky smell to it...quite unpleasant (wet dog?). But the management made up for the inconvenience, quickly and resolutely. Stink happens.
I will go back as this is an affordable luxury in the expensive Napa region.
Conference room and private dining experience only.
I came here for the NOCALL Spring Institute and thought it was oddly situated (in a commercial park), but came out pleasantly surprised. The place was packed, but I was lucky enough to find the one open parking spot. Then, the guy who greeted me was really sweet and helped me find where the conference was held. When I got to the room, they had just set up the breakfast buffet table and I was the first attendee there. OMIGOSH...I love breakfast and I was in heaven! They had all kinds of cereals, yogurts, fruits, breads on one side, and eggs, sausage and potatoes on the other. Everything was so good. I ended up getting eggs, potatoes, one sausage, watermelon, cantaloupe, and a blueberry yogurt. It may sound like a lot, but it wasn't. I was tempted to get seconds, but refrained because more attendees started to show up. They had a drink table with Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea. I helped myself many many times. The wait staff was really friendly and made sure our tables were clean and our water pitchers were filled.
During lunch, we were escorted to the room next door. I was even more impressed with the service and the food that was offered. The centerpiece was a flowerpot with herbs in it, which made everyone at my table try to guess what they were. I haven't a clue...rosemary? The salad was super good, but it had parmesan cheese when the menu said goat cheese (I was a little disappointed since I love goat cheese). The prosciutto-wrapped chicken was tasty, although a bit dry. And the cheesecake was okay, but all the fresh berries that it came with made it a hundred times better.
The Meritage Resort was definitely a good place to hold this conference, although it wasn't very Napa-esque.

If you are coming to "Napa" from out of state with 40 of your closest friends, and are looking to hear a time share sales pitch several times - this place is perfect! (This "hotel" shares facilities and rooms with the Vino Bella time share property).
Honestly, the facilities are new and nice, but this place is built for conventions or corporate retreats. Its Disneyland-like atmosphere (the "vineyard"in the photo is cosmetic, sandwiched between the pool and highway 29) is in the middle of an industrial park that is just as close to Berkeley as it is to Calistoga.
Unfortunately, the culture also treats guests like cattle. Our shuttle driver to town spent his time talking about how he hated San Francisco, and the hotel put us in a lower grade room than for which we paid. Only after a 30 min discussion with the manager about this did they agree to "offer" to charge us the corresponding price for the room in which we stayed.
Hotel prices at Napa are out of control. This place, compared with others, is actually reasonable. However, on this occasion, I was here with E for his company holiday party and they picked up the hotel tab. Sweet.
The room we had was a decent size, with a view of the vineyard and the cave. It also had a, now fairly common, flat panel TV. The bed was very comfortable with a nice fluffy down comforter. The bathroom had a big shower with products from Bare Essentials. And each room came with nice thick bathrobes.
All in all a very nice stay. Minus 1/2 star for the valet who claimed that the car wouldn't start. E then walked with the valet to his car, put in his key and turned and VROOM... By the way, when we asked for the car the next day to go home, the valet asked if it was an automatic. WTF? If it's not, he won't be able to drive it? Very strange. Besides the valet problem, minus one star for the lukewarm shower this morning. Not pleasant on a cold day.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
I totally forgot we stayed here for a team building event when I was working in Cali! It was a nice place, the service was definitely not the best but from what I understand, this has been worked on for the past few months. I am considering staying here again for a trip out with a friend, but we'll see how the prices are, it is definitely a little far off from the vineyards, and without a company sponsored limo, it might be a little far!

Spa Terra located at the Meritage Resort is a great place...especially for locals. The spa is located in a cave and it's only 5 minutes from the office. The therapists are great , the steam room and hot tub area are nice...overall a nice relaxing environment. Locals definitely get some perks.
Though it's a bit out of the way and off the 'strip,' it's perfect if you're planning on staying in the room all night, 'entertaining' yourselves. There was a bathtub in our bedroom and a fireplace that turned on at the flip of a switch, if you catch my drift...

Even though this hotel is in a wierd location, it worked out well for our wine tasting treks. We had two nights for free (did the time share presentation next door at the Vino Bello) so we really can't complain. However, I'm giving this place three stars because the room was did get was pretty dinky. There was no sitting area and no view. The spa was fairly nice, although when we went back later in the day nothing had been replenished: the hot water for tea, tea bags, iced washcloths for the steam room (which was not working properly in the women's spa)... Don't drink the free wine they offer you in the spa either! It's just a bad idea to drink when you're exposed to that kind of environment anyway, but it was not good. I wouldn't stay here again if I had to pay for the room. I'd rather go to a bed and breakfast with some character or better yet, stay in Sonoma.
I have to say of all of the charming hotels we saw in Napa , the Carneros, The Villagio, the Inn etc. There was definitely a reason why on the same day (yes Im spontaneous!) this was the only hotel not yet booked up.
We came in on a Friday at 3:30 am, exhausted and they seemed to somehow "lost" our reservation. Mind you, we had the confirmation number, email from hotel but thankfully they were able to accomdate- and yes, they definitely made us feel that way.
The room we got at $260 a night was a lot like a dressed up Hampton Inn. We brought my dogs and that morning during quiet possibly the WORST-hotel-breakfast-t I-have-ever-had somehow the housekeeping had let them out of the room and they treeked all of the way across the hotel to find me.
I think that the bottom line is that when you are staying in Napa, you never want to stay on "Napa Valley Corporate Dr" its just a tell-tale sign of whats coming.
The room was amazing for the price, the hot tub was perfect temp, and staff (though over-worked) were more than friendly.
Yes we did have a horrible view of the airconditioner from our window, but to be honest after a day of spending $$$$$ on wines and expensive food, having the free bottle of wine with some drive-thru from the nearby In & Out, and watching Food Network & Monty Python on the beautiful flat-screen was all I really wanted. If you are doing more than just Napa then it is centrally located to the freeway to get you to St. Helena, Sonoma, and Mendocino all for the one spot.

This resort is more for corporate retreats than cozy getaways in feel and location. The restaurant needs some help so don't go for the food either. The one high point is the spa. The therapists are amazing and the prices are reasonable.

Love this place. Came here on a weekday in the winter. Because it was a little slower, they upgraded us to a suite complete with a hot tub, king size bed, living room, plasma tvs, and free bottles of wine. The suite was very well decorated and the view of the wineries were amazing.
For dinner we went to the restaurant downstairs. Although I don't remember in detail what I ordered (we had just finished a whole day of wine tasting) I do remember the food tasting especially delicious and the server being quite charming.
My bf and I just spent a couple of days in South Lake Tahoe and I wanted a no fuss New Year's celebration so we ended up booking our one night New Year's stint a day before the Eve of 2008. This was basically the only place that was moderately priced and vacant. It also seemed to match my R&R mission from my aches and bruises from our snowboarding trip.
It's location is a bit odd...on the southern border of Napa's city limits. Off to the side of Highway 29 in an industrial business area similar to those you'll find in Silicon Valley. Yet tucked behind the vista point where the statuette points on top of a newly planted grape vine hillside.
This hillside behind the hotel is also where Spa Terra is located in what looks like a man made underground cave. We didn't care to check out the Spa however it seemed like the older crowd staying at the Resort were digging it as we found couples and singles lounging around aimlessly in the over-sized white robes where you'll find hanging in the closet of your suite/guest room. If you really like them (which i didn't) you can purchase them from their gift shop located in the lobby.
Checking in was quick...however we were about 45 minutes early from our check-in time @ 4pm so our guest room was not ready for us. The Front Desk personnel took down our number and exactly an hour later (4:30pm) we were given a call that our guest room was ready and the keys are at the Front Desk to be pick up. I was a little annoyed that they were exactly an half hour late in getting our room ready...but it was New Year's Eve so i didn't hold it against them. The wait gave us enough time to drive to Dean & Deluca to pick up some wine and we also picked up a bottle of California bubbly for the New Year!!! Not like most Resort type hotels their refrigerators do not come stocked.
First thing we did after we picked up our guest room keys was picked up the phone and pressed *room service* once we settled into our guest room. They accommodated our request of being on the top floor (3rd floor) away from the elevator but we should have booked a patio room b/c those rooms where actually $20 cheaper and you get a balcony/patio where you are allowed to smoke your cigars. All rooms are smoke-free however you can smoke outdoors on the Resort premises. Their beds are comfy...on the soft side though. My favorite part was their bathroom/shower...HUGE w/double sinks and the towels are above average for hotels/resorts. Our other request for a hill-side view was also meant however I don't now about the hypo-allergenic pillows...i didn't really care as we were provided w/more than enough pillows. My only complaint about the pillows is that they were way too soft...but i guess that's why they give you like a dozen pillows!
Room service menu is limited ...basically its the Bar Menu @ the Meritage Bar which is served up from Siena the restaurant located inside the Resort. Prices are fair for Room Service however we ordered room service twice during our one night stint @ the Resort and they f*cked up both times. How hard is it to get the right pizza order when there are only three choices...? We ordered a basic pepperoni pizza and got a caprese (which looked good...but my carnivore bf wasn't having a "no sauce" pizza...lol) they fixed it faster than how long it took to get the first pizza out. The second time we tried to order room service @ 12:20ish am but the phone kept ringing and ringing (i tried twice and gave up). So we filled out one of those breakfast cards and placed it on our door for breakfast that was scheduled to be delivered @ 8:30-9am. They called us up @ 8:45ish to confirm that we aware that it's an extra cost for their Mertage bottle spring water. Than two minutes before it was 9am a knock to the door...i should've have checked my breakfast b/c instead of a Meritage Breakfast which consist of two poached eggs on a bed of grilled artichokes w/Hollandaise sauce and breakfast country pot-ta-toes...i got a basic breakfast like my bf except over-easy. I was soo hungry by the time i almost finished eating it...room service called to admit they f*cked up and they were on their way w/my breakfast. We told them it's okay and that was the end of the story. What they should have done...is since they f*cked up everytime we ordered room service it would have been nice to check-out w/a surprised complimentary breakfast (which didn't happen) which btw for two will run you around the $40ish w/OJ and grat. That type of customer service would have been refreshing and what you'd expect in Napa however such hopes are a far cry for better service in the hospitality industry these days.
Overall we probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was to try out their Vino Bello Resort which are the time-share condos located to the left of the Meritage Resort. However for the price i got what i expected and nothing more.
* FYI - they don't have in-room check outs...bummers!
As from other Yelp reviews, this place is sorta in a weird location. It's in a sorta business park, it's conviently right off two major freeways.
I have to give this place a neutral...
I was here for an event meeting, so I didn't experience their rooms or spa. The event room was nice, plasma screen, great conti breakfast and buffet lunch.
Pleanty of parking, but on this day, there was a 400-person wedding, so the parking lot was overflowing, good thing for available street parking.
Maybe i'll come back one day and stay here...
I went with 2 girlfriends for a weekend getaway. I was 100% satisfied with my stay!
The hotel had a beautiful decor and a huge fireplace by the entrace. The staff there was friendly and efficient. Our room was really clean and roomy. The decor of the room made it seemed like we were staying at someone's guesthouse and not a hotel. The only little complaint I had was the water was not hot enough.
Onto the spa at the resort...it is called Spa Terra. The Resort created this spa back in March 2007 under the vineyards. I give the resort SIX STARS OUT OF FIVE!!!! The facility, staff and massage were impeccable! At first, I didn't feel comfortable with the notion of having a spa day in a "cave" as they had advertised. But the cave exuded a cozy and private feeling. The walls were dimly lit by very soft lighting. The facility is completely new and covered in Italian stone. My 80 minute Swedish massage with Sarah was AMAZING. She was soft spoken and professional. I highly recommend her.
I agree that the Resort is a little far from the main wineries, but just a tad. The price of our room per night amounted to a little less than $200 a night. So its totally worth it!
Never stayed here, but World Class Driving hosted their driving event with this hotel and hence we got to eat some of the hotel's catered food. Breakfast selection was good and plenty: from cereal to granola to yogurt to bagels to muffins to fruit. Lunch was pretty good too, I very much liked their caesar salad and their grilled vegetable medley which included fennel, artichokes, zucchini and eggplant with feta.
I'll tell ya what, I found this place on hotels.com for $129 for a bed and breakfast special. After a day of shopping in the city, it was good to find this place and settle in for the night. Well, almost. See my other posting for Napa on the Angele Restaurant. The concierge was beyond helpful, including securing dining reservations at almost 10 PM. I'll admit, I was a bit sad to go only after one night after reading about how much this place has to offer. I will say that I'll agree with the other posters that the location is a little awkward but other then that, its a beautiful place. If your nice to the lady at the concierge desk, she might even give you the free wine tasting book, a value of at least 600 bucks.
If you don't care too much about the location of a hotel, this is a nice place to stay. I wouldn't say this is a resort though. It was odd at first that it's located in a business area, but I didn't mind. I wasn't there for the location, more for the amenities of the hotel. The hotel seemed fairly new. The room had modern interior and came with free wi-fi, flat panel TV, and DVD player. They provide Bare Escentual bath products. The bed, pillows, and comforter were plush. There was complimentary bottled water and a bottle of Beringer Pinot Grigio so that was nice. Close to downtown Napa. Prices were less expensive compared to other hotels around.
This property is also known as Bello Vino Resort. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!!! This property got problems! My husband and I checked in on friday night, planning to stay at the resort on friday and sat night, and spend some good time in the napa area. We drove from san jose to the property friday night, arrived around 10:30pm. We were tired. As soon as we got situated in hour room, my husband was the first one to take a shower. After he got out, he said, "nasty!" I was like, what? He said, the tub drainage was clogged the moment he started the shower!! The water was draining very very slow!!! It was cumulating about 6 inches of water while he was taking a shower!!! We called the front desk, no manager was on site at the time, the guy who tried to help us was a rookie. He told us there were NO other rooms with king size bed for us. No engineer was availabe at the time either. We were POed, because we were tired, I wanted to take my shower and then go to sleep! So, we were like, fine...maybe I'll try to put up with this clogged drainage. Holy Crap! 15 minutes after the shower, the 6 inches of water is still there!!! No way in H I'm going to take a shower with 6 inches of water in the tub! I was sooo pissed off!!! I don't really want to move into another room because I unpacked everything already! We called the front desk again, demand to get another room no matter what! So, that rookie played with his reservations around, finally worked something out. He put us in the room right below our room, on the first floor. The moment we entered the new room, we check the drainage right away! Looks like it's running smoothly, finally!!! After I was done with my shower, wait a min, 3 little ants running around in the bathroom, okay, kill them, for sure! Then I got out of the bathroom, saw my husband sitting on the bed, putting our shoes in front of the sofa area on the carpet. I asked, why don't you put the shoes by the entrace area? He said no.....I asked, why? so, I walked over there, holy crap! Full of ants!!! Disgusting!!! There were about 50 ants crowling along the baseboard and along the carpet area! It was coming from the laundry room, passing through the entrance area, ACROSS the room to the patio area!! I must have killed about 50 ants when I discovered! I was POed!!! It was 12:30am by then, we were dead tired!!! We vowed that we will check out the next morning, as soon as we wake up, and we did. Sat morning, when we checked out, the hotel staff was very nice in handling this matter...their property was all booked, no vacancies to upgrade us. That's okay, we decided to go home anyways. Property, totally sucked!! Looks great, but cheap materials, thin walls, noisy, full of ants, non-working drainage, weird layout, a little bar/kichen area IN FRONT of the Bed. Service-Day time front desk associates on were very nice and helpful. Night time front desk associates don't know what the heck they're doing. Rookies!
The success of this new resort will remain to be seen, and it has potential. It has a lot of nice amenities, but it is definitely in its early stages of development. It's better suited to a group affair (corporate retreat, wedding reception) than a romantic getaway destination. I was there for a business conference, so our purpose was a good match with the resort, however, I think it will be much better in a year or so. To note, the hotel was completely booked for the weekend, and it is an enormous hotel.
Location - good, near Lake Barryessa. Maybe a little remote if you don't want to drink & drive. It's off of Hwy 29, just South of downtown Napa. You enter through a corporate park, which takes away from the serenity and beauty of the area.
Environment - nice, once they get the vineyards fully developed in the back. Right now the hotel looks out over a dirt field which they are quickly trying to build into a lush vine-filled field. Unfortunately, the tractors and equipment were running as we were outside trying to have our business meetings. This made a lot of people in my group VERY IRRITATED. The inside of the hotel is very nice, kind of wine-country-themed, but not in a tacky way.
Rooms - I loved my room - it was very big, with a good layout, excellent linens, comfortable duvet and down pillows, tastefully decorated. Plasma screen TV. My TV worked SOMETIMES. Nice desk area and plenty of outlets. Some rooms have balconies (mine did not). Good bathroom with 2 sinks and the toilet in its own separate room (I love that). Starbucks coffee and Tazo Teas and a little coffeemaker. Free wireless in the hotel - eventually. The server was down a lot while we were there which was a big, fat, annoying bummer. Air conditioning, check check check. Newspaper delivered daily. Soft fluffy robes and nice-quality towels. The room lighting was great - both in the shower and in the entrance, they used some kind of amazing daylight bulbs, so it almost felt like you had skylights. I hate bad lighting, so this was a plus for me.
Pool - very nice, although not very deep - 3'10 - 5ft was the range. Well suited to families. There was a recurring problem of people having late night parties or gatherings out by the pool and keeping other guests awake. Hopefully they will gain better control of this. This made some people in my group VERY ANGRY.
Health Club - not where I spend my time, but I looked at it, and it's pretty small. Heard there will be a running trail. Right now you have to run around the office park. Fun! I'll sleep in, thank you.
Food - very good for the most part. We had a variety of different group meals, ranging from sandwiches and salads, to Italian/Mediterranean, to Mexican. Mexican was the best. Room service was just ok as far as the food goes, but very prompt.
Staff - extremely nice and well-trained. They have clearly spent a lot of time making sure that their guests will be treated properly and with kindness and efficiency. Even when bumps in the road occurred, the staff handled them well. There were a few bumps. They did not, however, miss one of my 4 wake-up calls, and this is a very good thing in my book.
Bar - small bar near the entrance with a great, informative bartender who makes a WICKED margarita. Bless you, bartender, I would not have survived the week without you!
It was hotter than hell while we were there, and having to work while up in Napa can seem cruel (if you don't have free time) - so our tolerance was pretty low. However, this is the type of clientele the Meritage is courting, so it will be in their best interest to solve these problems quickly and make sure that word-of-mouth is positive. If they do that, I think they have a very good chance of excelling as a unique destination in Wine Country.

everything everyone else has said here about this hotel's location is true: it's in a head-scratchingly-odd spot... right at the end of a warehouse filled business park. if you're looking for a scenic spot with a view of the napa valley for your get-away... keep looking.
if, however, you prefer to spend the bulk of your day touring the scenic valley, then retire to a really great room for the remainder of your evening... book one of the two suites here! I could rant endlessly about hotel location -- but let me sum it up for you: how much time do you plan on spending ooing-and-aahing over your hotel's view? if you plan to spend more than 15 minutes doing so (as opposed to going someplace beautiful), I will humbly suggest your priorities are a tad whacked.
my friends and I just got back from such a jaunt. when we looked for hotels to book for our trip, we were a little freaked out to find all the "good" properties fully booked and wound-up grabbing both of the suites available at the meritage... and crossed our fingers.
I can't speak for any of the other rooms... having not seen them... but the suites were killer. you can't get rooms like these at quadruple the cost... anywhere. I'm guesstimating the two suites were 900-1100 sq. ft. each. full bedroom (with... eep... the obligatory jacuzzi tub)... huge bathroom with a shower suitable for you and a half-dozen friends... living room (with one of the two large flat-screen TV's -- the other being in the bedroom)... and a kitchen/dining-room that would easily seat 8+ at the dinner table.
oh... and a washer/dryer. and a *full* kitchen. I don't mean a kitchenette. I mean a *full* kitchen with a big fridge, four-burner inductive range, combi convention/microwave... full oven beneath... dishware... cutlery... place settings... assortment of wine glasses.... complementary booze... you name it.
we were originally going to grab reservations at bouchon for the evening, but decided instead (since we're cookin' idiots) to hit up dean and deluca and a local market and do a big dinner en suite.
worked out great! all the requisite kitchen items were on hand: roasting pans, glass bakeware, whisks, knives, mixing bowls... whatever. it was no prob at all do a tasty dinner for four with what was available; and it was great fun.
seriously -- I'm totally impressed by this place. fireplace... patio... yadda.
as far as hotels go (and believe me, after being a pilot for 10 years I saw *all* of them)... this is a steal. like I said, I can't speak for the other rooms... but the two we had were *perfect* just so long as you aren't dead set on getting a napa view out of the deal. seriously... if you want the view, take a balloon ride... then enjoy these faboo rooms rather than blow your wad on half the room at twice the price.
this really didn't have a resort feel. weird location - adjacent to a business park. the rooms were pleasant but not plush. Free wi-fi and flat panel TVs with in-room dvd players were a nice touch. the dirt field is now a pleasant looking vine filled field with lots of greenery. if you want to play a little tennis, the Napa Valley College is a couple miles down the road and the courts are pretty new. There are definitely nicer places to stay while in Napa but this one did the trick this time.
i'm not even confident in their potential to be better, but at least there's a ton of room for improvement. my bad from the beginning though because i didn't say anything when we walked into our room and saw that it was for the handicapped. with all due respect to the handicapped, i'd rather not have a continuous floor that when i shower standing up the entire bathroom floor gets wet. there is the fold down seat though that makes for very interesting sex-in-the-shower positions.
they sent an "engineer" up to change the battery in the remote cuz it's such a mechanical thing. then they sent another TWO "engineers" when the remote wouldn't operate the tv. if you get here and your remote doesn't work, the source code is 000.
the view outside of our window was of the roof of the second floor of the attached. atop the roof at eye level were those big ugly metal boxes... air conditioning things? open the window for some fresh air and you hear the roaring of the fans. not pretty, not calming.
the restaurant downstairs, the siena... hork! ok, it wasn't that bad. of course it was overpriced, and the service is suh-low-wah!! my first breakfast there, the "eggs meritage"- worst poached eggs i've ever had. the potatoes were ok. second breakfast was much better. basic over easy eggs (which were cooked way more than the prior day's poached eggs) and great toasted sourdough bread, with a few pieces of fresh fruit, and the same potatoes. waiter was awesome throughout, and when he saw that we didn't love our tang mimosas, he put them on the house. btw, no soy milk for the granola, cereal, or coffee.
the hot tub was hardly luke warm when we tested the waters, the pool water actually felt warmer. we turned it on i think but i think we really just turned on the jets. didn't actually stick around to see if it would ever warm up. the hot tub should be readily available for use, and it was even on the weekend.
what's good? free wired internet, free bottle of unimpressive wine, and ample parking... 'til it gets busier!
My advice in regards to the Meritage - don't stay here! This is a four star hotel run like a 2 star. We had booked a room on hotwire for 1 night - when we turned up at the lobby of the meritage it turns out that they were "110% over occupancy" and didn't know why hotwire had let us book a room when they were so full. They had us wait in the lobby for a manager for over an hour. In that time, we noticed 2 things:
a) we were not the only people that this happened too - there were atleast 2 other couples that had also booked unavailable rooms.
and
b) the hotel was horribly mismanaged. We heard guests complaining that there were no towels or water at the pool area; another guest had a room key that didn't work; another couple had been waiting hours for their room to be ready (at 4:30 pm). These are small inconveniences that could have been solved rather quickly however the hotel moved at an excruciating slow pace.
We ended up at the Marriott, a 3.5 star hotel which far surpassed the service (and location) of the 4 star Meritage.
The Meritage Resort is definitely a work in progress. I applaude the architects and design team for turning what was once an empty lot unfortunately situated next to a corporate park into a private "old world" oasis. The plans of the cave and spa (which are due to open next month) sound amazing. Something no one else in the valley has yet... My wife and I have stayed there in the off season on several occasions to take advantage of the low winter rates - we actually like the location. It's at the hub of the Napa Valley. From there you can visit all of your favorite Carneros region wineries one day... and go up valley another to visit a few more. When reading the other reviews I was surprised when readers said that this hotel is not close to "anything." A bit dramatic if you ask me. The hotel offers a free shuttle for guests within a 5 mile range. When we asked what does that include we found out that Chardonnay and Eagle Vines golf courses are less than 3 miles away, downtown Napa, Copia and the outlets we felt we were close to the real Napa. Definitely not your Auberge or your Meadowood - but then again you're not shelling out a half a grand a night. When we go to the Napa Valley we are out exploring most of the time and we want a clean comfortable place to pass out... this place did the trick. Once their spa opens I think people will change their minds about the word association with "resort." We'll definitely go back. We already reserved a hand full of rooms during harvest for a group of our friends to use it as our base to explore the valley. Kudos...
