SO GOOD! My husband and I went for the first time Halloween night 2007 - we were practically the only ones in the restaurant, and we had a really cool waiter, so we ended up spending 3 hours there! It was ok because we were kind of seeing where the night took us, no real plans. If you go, plan on being there awhile - take your time and enjoy your food!

The easiest way to order is to do the Entry for 2 - it includes cheese fondue (with veggies, apples, and bread for dipping), salads for both of you, and your main course. I promise you will be too full to order dessert so you might want to come back a second time specifically for that.

Our favorite cheese fondue is the Southwest. They will make it as spicy or mild as you like. The best salad in my opinion is the Southwestern Cobb salad - my husband will not shut up about the bacon! It is his favorite bacon ever. We always get the court bouillon for the cooking style, which is basically a vegetable broth - it makes the veggies really yummy and seems to be the best for first timers. There are 4 different styles to choose from, but basically the cooking style is the flavor of liquid you would like to cook your food in. And you will be cooking a lot...my suggestion is to dump most of your veggies into the pot as soon as they come to your table so that they will be tender and ready to eat by the time your meat is finished. Don't worry too much about the cooking time - if you have any questions you can ask the staff and they will help you. The sauces are really delicious - there are so many to choose from!

The Melting Pot has individual entries that you can order, that come with your choice of salad, but if it's your first time you should go all out and get the 3 courses. You could get the 4 course meal, that includes dessert, but that should almost be enjoyed on it's own another time. I am always too full to even think about dessert, so my husband and I have gone a few times specifically for that. Try the bananas foster chocolate! So good! And they provide a great selection of dessert dippers.

Great place to go on a date! I love this place!

This Melting Pot is only a few years old, following the construction of the River walk in Jenks.  Though I've only eaten there once, I have only good things to say about it.  I guess the first of which, when I ate there, it was about thirty minutes before they closed.  That isn't enough time to finish even a normal meal, not to mention fondue.  Unlike most restaurants getting ready to close, our waiter was very attentive, patient, and ready to serve and explain everything.  I was also seated in a different section, away from the few remaining people.  The food was fantastic.  I never felt rushed to finish, and the waiter was very polite when I finally left.
The only downside to the restaurant--as it is with any fondue restaurant--is that it is pretty pricey.  I can almost guarantee that your bill will be over $50, even for one person.

Wow. Fondue is a LOT of work for your digestive system. And it's really hot. I felt sick for a couple of days after we had a cheese fondue appetizer here last weekend.

Also, our booth was 6 inches away from a wall, so it was like we were sitting in a tiny box. *drink* Not great ambiance.

FYI: We thought going to Riverwalk would be "funny," but really it was just kind of a downer. Tons of little kids running around. Some Blart-ish (yes that's a Mall Cop reference, what?) old man was grilling some tween girls about where their parents were. It felt very much like 1994 all over again.
It is VERY different out there. I wasn't prepared.

Edited my review after going with another couple.  There isn't enough room in the pot fro 8 sticks, and enough the table ordered a upgrade on the cooking medium, each couple was charged so they will get their money either way.  Each time i have been the food is pretty bland and you must add sauces in order to give it taste.  this is the last time i go here.  I don't except to add steak sauce at an nice restaurant so why should i here?

I am giving this a 4 stars because it should have 2 different point of views shown below.  Our waitress was great. (Lee or Lea).  Food was good but i would stay away from the fish, it was fresh just doesn't seem that good boiled in broth.  Shrimp and steak  was good though.

My wife's review: 5 stars - She loved it, the snicker chocolate fondue for dessert was probably her favorite (it was off the menu)

My review: 3 stars - Nice dining experience that i wouldn't do it too often.

Are you asking why we had two completely different opinions?

In this age, more men are doing the cooking at home which is great, i love to cook.  Then a couple goes out for dinner and the food is to be cooked by them and the lady thinks it is so much fun to cook where someone should be taking care of this for you but she doesn't like to cook at home?

I think i am going to take the concept a step further and open a restaurant where people come and pay to cook, serve, and clean up for people that I pay to eat.  Going to make millions...

Don't go hear unless you are ready for a long evening!
The appetizers course (consisting of cheese fondue's with dippers), and the dessert course (consisting of chocolate fondue's, caramel fondue's and other sweet creations) were by far the highlights.
The main course was OK. However you really have to cook the food at your table and it can be hard to remember how long things have been cooking, etc.
Wine list was great and the staff was nice.
VERY pricey.
Give it a try if you have lot's of time.
It took four of us almost three hours to eat a three course meal with cocktails and a couple bottles of wine.

Sometime ago, my wife and I decided to go to the Melting Pot for dessert.  We ordered the fruit fondue item and it was delicious!  I rated the restaurant  "A-OK" because the food was delicious but we don't remember the service being outstanding.

we didnt care for the main courses (bland) my husband said he doesnt enjoy "boiled"  steak or seafood. but if you want a romantic dessert this is the place. we were about the only people there and they sat us in "lovers lane", really! that what the guy said. and it was nice. for the price-point i can think of better places to go and actually enjoy the main course as well
