1 review for The Mario Greco Group
Mario and his team are top notch. We interviewed 4 agents before deciding to use his agency. He is the consummate professional and a straight talker. My wife and I went with him as our selling agent b/c he was enthusiastic, had the most knowledge of the chicago neighborhoods and marketplace, and has the most amazing responsiveness of anyone I've dealt with in any professional field. Yes, it was a painful market to try to sell a condo in, but Mario and his team kept in constant communication, offered sound advice, and ultimately helped get a contract on our place.
What set Mario apart from everyone else was that he always had an agent "show" our apartment, and each of his agents were very knowledgeable and friendly. After each showing, within an hour, and most times within 15minutes, we had email feedback on how the showing went. Periodically, we would get a spreadsheet summarizing the feedback, and also a record of followup conversations with prospective buyers.
Mario himself always shows the place for second showings.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and prompt and thorough communication. He maximizes all the tools we have in this digital age, but also keeps it real and understands that face to face interactions matter.

History
Established in 2002
Continuing Mario's unprecedented rise to the top of the Chicago real estate market that began in September of 2002, The Mario Greco Group ended 2008 ranked #1 statewide and #26 nationally by The Wall Street Journal & Lore Magazine's Real Estate Top 400. Mario was also the City's top producer in 2008 in Lincoln Park (including the Lincoln School District), Roscoe Village and North Center (including the Bell School District), Irving Park and Old Irving Park (including Disney II Elementary Magnet School). He ended 2008 as the #1 full-service Realtor® in the entire City of Chicago selling over $131 million worth of City real estate in 2008 alone. This was a 16% rise in his sales volume, in a year that the City saw a 25% decrease in sales from 2007. He has been in the top 1% of all Chicago Realtors® every year since he started selling real estate, amounting to over $600 million worth of real estate since 2002, and has sold more condo/townhomes in the city than any other agent since 2005.
Meet the Business Owner: Mario G.
Born and raised in Chicago, Mario Greco came to real estate by way of engineering and law. He graduated with honors from both Northwestern University (with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering) and from Boston University School of Law. He practiced law for almost seven years at both Jones Day and Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago in their Intellectual Property Litigation departments. While practicing law full time, he started his own real estate brokerage firm, Greco Realty & Brokerage, L.L.C. ("GRB, LLC"), and sold an average of $9M worth of real estate a year on a part-time basis. GRB, LLC grew to four agents and an assistant before Century 21 Sussex & Reilly acquired it in 2002. He left C21 Sussex & Reilly in 2004 to join Rubloff Residential Properties creating The Mario Greco Group. Rubloff, one of the oldest and most prestigious real estate brokerages in Chicago, recently merged with Prudential Preferred Properties, now called Prudential Rubloff Properties
