Very cool bar, and pretty hidden, just with a tiny sign that said "BAR", very nice atmosphere with tabels, booths, a neat little patio and a dance floor that is occupied by tables and a projector that was playing old kung fu movies.
I ordered the "Greyhound" and my friend ordered the Mint Julep , both drinks were very good (and VERY strong, particularly the Mint Julep, ha)
Will definitely come here again!

About a month ago, I went out with a bunch of people who were not from LA. Somehow, they ended up picking everywhere we went - nevermind that I'M the one who lives here!

Anyhow, they picked the Mandrake Bar based on Yelp! reviews. Why they chose to go to Culver City when most of us were in West Hollywood is beyond me.

We got there, all dressed up. We saw the outside of the place, and the biker of a bouncer sitting out front. I refused to go in. It looked like the diviest place ever, and I was sure that we would get eye-rolls and ughs as soon as our fancy-asses walked into a joint full of jeans and flannel.

A couple of us were brave enough to check it out, then came back to get the rest of us, assuring us that we would not get jumped. We walked back up to the door, where I got a closer look at the bouncer. He was more of a Village People type of biker than a Hell's Angels type of biker - you know?

Once inside, I felt ok. The music and atmosphere reminded me of a lounge I once visited in Brooklyn, which comforted me. It wasn't too packed, so my friends were able to grab seating for the lot of us. Also, it was fairly quick and easy to get a drink.

The back room was pretty empty, nobody was dancing.

The patio - that's where all the action was. It's a tiny patio, and people were smoking something other than cigarettes for sure.

After a few minutes there, I happened to realize that there were several women with the same very short haircut. So then I wondered if it was a lesbian bar, or if it was just a lesbian night. There were straight guys and girls there for sure, but more lesbians than I've seen at a bar yet. No matter, everyone was chill and having a good time.

I found out later on while waiting for the ladies' room that they were trying to start a lesbian night there. Made sense.

The place was all right, but I don't make a habit of going to Culver City for a night on the town. I'd go back if invited, but not by my own choice.

I only spent a little while here the other night, but I thought it was a great dive bar. The moment I entered, I was greeted by someone spilling on me immediately; that was not great since it made me think of days past at frat houses, but this was not a frat house. Although somewhat a sausage fest with a laid back crowd not quite pegged as grunge or emo, but something a bit more "real" for lack of a better word, it was a cool venue, spotted intermittently by girls sporting dresses and skirts.

In the back room was a screen playing a movie or something with people chilling on low chairs. And, although not seen, I was told the back had a patio as well. I would definitely go back, not only because this place seemed cool and calm, but it did so without saying, "yo, I'm not Beverly Hills and I'm proud, so screw you." It just said, "Here I am."

Came here last night to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in almost two years. Although he lives like 5 min away, he'd never been or heard. He arrived first and was second guessing the place because some guy knocked on his window asking if he was the DJ.

I arrived and we thought we'd give it a shot--I like this place! Very chill. DJ was spinning some random stuff but it totally fit the atmosphere. $14 for a glass of wine and vodka tonic-- good deal.

I don't know what else to say but this is a great place to sit, talk, catch up with friends. And possibly dance and/or sing with the DJ. Good times. Plus, you gotta love the gold fish!

Next time I'll come back and try one of the specialty drinks...

Came here on a random Friday night and decided it's like going to a chill loft party in LA or NY where the drinks are good, you're actually willing to interact with strangers (who aren't obnoxious hipsters), and the music just makes you smile. Oh yeah - and there's nice eye candy (the art/posters, silly)!

So, I really actually want to give the Mandrake like 4 stars but I can't since there is only one bar with 2 bartenders (only one of whom seems willing to make an effort) and the wait for a drink is totally ridiculous (if you're not already buzzed ;)  - I'd say don't be surprised if it takes 10-20 minutes (unless you have the balls to climb over/cut in front of the more patient people ... which I did do at one point).

Plus while I absolutely LOVED the DJ, the way their speakers are set up (with the volume pumped high in every single corner), it's just a little tooooooooo loud for my taste.  If I want to blow out my eardrums and have to scream talking to someone only a few inches from my face, I'd just go to a dance club...

Overall though, I intend to come back (but probably on a weeknight vs the weekend)... and if I lived in the area I would definitely consider being a regular (esp. for whatever night they serve sundaes...mmm).

PROS: Easy parking, cool crowd, drink selection (yeeeeeah dark 'n stormy and moscow mules!!), vibe/ambience, music/DJ, decent seating areas

CONS: Crappy service at the bar, potential for massive hearing loss, long wait time for the restroom

A cool little hipster spot that like people say, is kind of a hidden little treasure in the neighborhood.  The "bar" sign that people mention, is actually REALLY tiny... maybe no bigger than a sheet of paper at the most.  I was looking for something bigger, but fortunately we had seen the sign for the widget factory or whatever it is next door.

Very mellow spot, almost with the vibe of going over to someone else's garage to hang out and have some drinks.  Looks like hardly anyone was wanting to hang out in the middle area (with the projector screen) while there was no music playing.  That actually worked out really well with the people I went in with.  Plenty of seating all for our own little group.  Everybody seems to flock to the patio outside...

The drinks like people mention seem to be plenty strong, and their happy hour deal looks to be pretty popular.  I had the Moscow Mule which seemed to grow on me the more I drank.  The food itself was good, but seemed to be more of the finger food variety.

Close enough to work to check out every once in a while.  Almost a Starbucks type of vibe with people bringing in their laptops.  Of course this place serves alcohol.  Oh wait, aren't some of the Starbucks supposed to be serving alcohol soon?  Aah.  I better stop comparing this place to Starbucks before I offend a hipster...

I used to come here when they would hold weekly comedy shows. It's a great quiet bar that's never crowded, probably because it's easy to miss since it's so nondescript. Nice bartender. Huge clean bathrooms. Plenty of bar seating. It seems that random people tend to wander in here for an after work drink, then quickly leave. Since it's not anywhere that attracts foot traffic, it's more of a destination for people who know the Mandrake exists.

Parking: Plenty of it on the street.

Do you ever find yourself kicking your own arse when you remember there's a bar you love right down the street that you'd completely forgotten about?

That's how I felt at the Mandrake today. Why the hell don't I come here more often? I love this bar!

You'd pass it if you didn't know what you were looking for and that's just where the goodness begins. The drinks. They're awesome. Fantastic selection of cocktails and beer all done the way they should be. The Moscow Mules are spicy and stiff with plenty of vodka and fresh ginger and you won't get a cross-eyed stare if you ask for a French 75, because, shocker, they actually know how to make them here!

Inside can get a bit warm but I dig it; the layout, the turntables set to spin anytime, the random flicks projected onto the far wall and the knotty hardwood seating. Best part though is the little white picket fence enclosed patio out back. It closes early at 11p but it's the perfect spot to grab a drink, a bench, a smoke and chill underneath the warm light of the colored bulbs and fuschia bougainvillea.

Tonight someone was banging down the fence gate trying to bust in from the alley. It said no exit, and, ya know, I like to follow the rules (sometimes), so I kept ignoring the guy yelling 'it opens, just push' until, jumping up and down over the fence top, he added, 'just push, I know it opens. I own the bar!,' so, I opened it. And guess what, he said 'thanks, he was feelin' a little rough' and asked what I was drinkin'... and then proceeded to bring us a round. Good man!

Oh, and on the bar facing wall inside is a print out of a recent 1-star Yelp review. They loved why she hated them so much it's hanging on the wall with a big red circle around it for all to read. Love it.

Mandrake, I won't forget you again. Promise!

Would go here every night if possible! Love, love, love the Moscow Mule here and would love to drink one now!!!

The bartender made us drinks even though they were closing (cannot say what time they close, we were there around 1:12 am on a Friday morning and they were closing up). The music was off the hook and had people dancing like crazy even though they were the only people in the place before we arrived.

Would love to go here again and cannot wait to see the next art show they will have up.

Thank you Mandrake!

The first time I ever ventured here I took the place for something completely different. It was a Monday night, and the place was nearly empty. A nerdy college-aged jazz trio was playing towards the rear of the bar. Dark, mellow with a kinda empty art-space feel.  I loved it!

That must have been a fluke because every time since then it's been completely different - but I'm still a fan! Mandrake usually seems to have a full house...but the nice part is that there always seems to be room indoors towards the back on their picnic tables. They've got a sweet back patio with benches, though it gets packed on busy night. The crowd is young and hip, some maybe "too hipster" but  who cares?

The drinks...yum! I always order the Moscow mule, which is fresh, spicy and amazing. I've tried some of their other signatures and been impressed. The food I haven't tried, but I watched them make their prosciutto sandwich and was drooling. Can't wait to have it. All reasonably priced as well.

Final vote? A great spot, especially if you live close like me. On busy nights they do movie/tv/weirdness projections and have a lap-top DJ usually rockin some good stuff. The bartenders aren't unfriendly, more...disinterested, but I'm always psyched when the beardy bartender is there because he makes a mean cocktail! The Mandrake is worth a try, go see for yourself.

Very cool little artsy/hipster/dive bar on a rather deserted road in Culver City.  When you drive up, look for either the tiny neon sign that says "bar", or the crowd of people smoking outside the only occupied doorway on the street.  Inside is always VERY crowded around the bar (bartenders can be slow), but it opens up into a back room which sometimes has soundless old movies projected onto the back wall.  There used to also be a funny "no dancing" sign, which has lately been modified to say "dancing," which is not nearly as witty. The back patio is again, ridiculously crowded usually, full of people smoking (so don't go back there if you have asthma or something).
Drinks here are moderately expensive, and the music is cool but uncomfortably loud.  Mostly I like to come here and see people dressed up in ridiculously cool hipster clothes.  Examples: girl wearing runway Marc Jacobs shoes with the backwards heels, and man with trucker hat, huge plastic librarian glasses, short shorts, and a multicolored tiger t-shirt.
You can usually find parking on La Cienega, but if it's crowded, try any of the side streets off Venice.

Only been once and am new to the LA bar scene, so I can't say this place is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but still a rock solid bar.

Good music, average beer selection, not insanely crowded, indoor and outdoor space, and they were looping Spike Jonze music videos for all of you who didn't notice (for shame).

Awesome bar. I love art and unique cocktails, so this place is great. Every time I've been I almost walked past because the front looks like it should be some shit hole, and then you go inside and it's beautiful. The wood paneled walls and low lights make it dark enough to evoke dive-bar ambiance without actually being a dive bar. I really liked the petrified wood tables. They project movies on the back wall of the gallery-like space in the back, and further back is an outdoor smoking patio.

Their Tomato-Water Martini is excellent. I'm always into signature cocktails, and this is an unusual one. Perfect place to go after a night of gallery cruising, or any other night.

Hipster scene really isnt my thing, but i do enjoy some bars with that scene. However, this bar isnt one of them. Cool feel and people, but the bar isnt run properly. I've been there a few times and each time wait 15-30 mins for a drink because there were just too many people and not enough glasses. Hey, I understand glassware is expensive, etc. but some plastic cups maybe? I just can't understand why a bar with a good amount of people coming to it would have this problem.

You would miss this place from the street, a nondescript building with a doorman. I will give them credit for that cause it wasn't overly crowded which was a plus. Once inside, the place had little charm or ambiance. Just some stark white walls, and wood siding around the bar itself. I like minimalism but this place really didn't do much for me. There was a DJ doing her thing when I was there, and that was fine. The projected tv they had was playing Days of Thunder, who cares...

I did enjoy the 2 drinks I had, and they seemed reasonably priced and unique. I had just come from The Varnish so my standards for the evening had been set pretty high, perhaps that set The Mandrake up for failure, but I tried to judge it on its own merits.

Decent enough locals bar, not too crowded at 10:30pm on a Friday, and the cocktails were good. I probably won't venture back there again, but if I did I wouldn't put up a fuss.

Cheers!

I found the West LA version of the Silverlake hipster scene. I liked the decor inside, it seemed quite divey (just my taste). They had music blaring and a film projected on the wall. It's not in my neck of the woods but the next time i'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by.

The Mandrake is one of my favorite spots in Culver City. I work at Pico and La Cienega, so it's the perfect place for an after-work drink.

I think my favorite part of the bar is the patio, but they have some picnic-table type tables inside which I also like. It's minimalist enough. A lot of people complain about the uber-art-scene kids but that really hasn't been my experience. I've met lots of nice, totally unpretentious people here. Drinks are reasonable.

The only thing to keep in mind is that I think Thursday is gay night, which I was previously unaware of.

Eh. I'm an art major at UCLA, therefore I'm almost guaranteed to see someone I know here, which is something that I really don't like. When I am wasted, I want to have the freedom to be as ridiculous and obscene as possible. I don't want to run into a professor or some creeper from class that I barely know and have them see me make an ass out of myself. Not to knock any of my amazing professors or fellow classmates, that statement is just more a reflection on myself and my uncanny knack for making a fool of myself when drunk. I'd rather make an ass out of myself around complete strangers or those that already accept me for the idiot I am.

The patio is appreciated by my chain-smoking friends, but I don't smoke, so whatevs. Dranks are alright. I've never had to wait in line for more than five minutes for the bathroom, which is a plus.

Weird pseudo(?) artsy crowd that I just can't hang with.

During my first official yelp event, my comrades and i decided to stop by the mandrake bar. my poor feet were tried from art walking, and i needed me a drink. this comfy little bar has a few tricks up its sleeve- it had a huge art gallery in the back! and on a humongoid screen, they were playing Macguyver. ohhhh yeah. i coulda spotted that mullet from miles away. : ) the music was upbeat, and we were lucky enough to steal us some seats before the onslaught of other yelpers/art walkers came streaming in.

i heard the dark and stormy drink was quite delicious. my friends ordered the tequila sunrise, caipirinha, and white russian. holy mother of god, were those fuckers strong. wooo. i only took a few sips of that, and i was reeling. either my tolerance is going down, or the bartenders had a heavy hand that night. i opted for the pussy drink- peach bellini. yeah yeah, i know. it's just champagne with some peach shit. but it was fresh, and my gag reflex did not go off after the first sip.

after this a veteran of mandrake bar, who happened to be in our group, ordered the manchego cheese with honey and baguette. first impression: cheese and honey? whaaaaa?  but i tell you, when i was persuaded to take a bite of the trio, i was taken away to my happy place. it was amazing. the honey brought out hints in the manchego that i never would have dreamed. the baguette was perfect and crunchy in the right places. and it was only 5-6 bucks! how good was this? so good that my ass went home and got out some costco sandwich cheese, and dipped that shit in trader joe's honey....i munched away- with horrified/confused look from bf's face. was it as good? it was decent. but oh, honey + cheese....my loveeeeee!!

The outdoor patio was pretty dope too. We did park in a shady street though I was kind of scared - not really but you know what I mean.
I would so go back. Cool tunes that night (club Outre) and the crowd was pleasant.

Free pistachios!

So, I've known for a while the Mandrake has some semblance of food though I've never been really tempted to order the tapanade or dolmas even if they are some of my favorite things. But last night I noticed the tiny word "gratis" written under pistachios. Cool!

Yesterday, they were also serving up hard boiled eggs (they had opened at 9 a.m. for the inauguration), various nuts, snacks but they were out of tomatoes so the vegetarian couldn't have a caprese sandwich.

I think drinks now are firmly starting at $8. My usual bloody mary last night (without the Absolut pepper, just regular Stoli) was $8 but it was still deliciously peppery and lip-numbing.

But the bartender was enforcing the $10 minimum (didn't matter to me since I had cash but sucked for my date) and so I'm dropping stars.

Very cool space - nondescript exterior, tucked away amongst galleries on South La Cienega... I was pleasantly surprised!  Nice bartender, it was a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded.  They will give you free Goldfish to nibble on.  They also have bar snacks such as olives & nuts, and a mozzarella sandwich.  Funky 2nd room serves as the DJ and dancefloor.  Cute little outdoor patio for fresh air (sans the smokers) ;-)  I will have to head back here on a weekend night, as I'd like to check out the crowd.  Seems that a place like this would attract cool and discerning folks!

This is probably my favorite bar in Culver City.  Decor is modern-minimal with wood stumps as coffee tables (which is played out for my liking), lots of open space with 2 separate rooms to mingle or engage in an intimate conversation with friends.  I always arrive early straight from the galleries.  They usually have opening receptions on the same night which I like!  It's empty at 7:30 but by 9p.m. the dj starts to spin some tunes and Lucy the bartender serves a clean margaritia.  The crowd is eclectic -possible leaning more towards same sex preferences so don't come here chasing tail if your straight :)
The entrance is discreet.  Look for the small, dimly lit BAR sign.... literally in the middle of the block.  If you hit Blum and Poe gallery- you've passed it!

No dancing allowed in the back inside area, but hipster swaying and slow dance-like movements are tolerated.  Makes for a cool addition when browsing some of the galleries on La Cienega in Culver City.

This lounge usually offers some good people watching.  Get ready to be judged by those in tight jeans but earn their respect by quizzing them on what their favorite new music is or what artist is really making their presence felt in Los Angeles.

There's a cool smoking patio in the back which is reminiscent of NYC bars.  Makes for easy mingling and cigarette bumming territory.

Drinks are good and the prices are reasonable.  I recommend the Moscow Mule.

How busy this bar is really is hit or miss.  I've been on weekends and weeknights where it's jam packed and other nights it's been as barren as The Road.

We came here on a Friday night after Christmas and the place was pretty happening. I would give The Mandrake more stars if it wasn't for the DJ who starting playing old school hits, from Salt N Peppa to Rockin' Robin... I love old school classics just like the next guy but seriously Rockin' Robin?! even my mama doesn't dance to that hit from the 50s!!!

Mandrake has been a solid go-to location for me and my cohorts for quite some time.

Essentially, great atmosphere, people are mellow, and above all, fantastic drinks.

I'm a big fan of the Moscow Mule, the amount of ginger that is added is always just right, not too overwhelming, and so refreshing. Their greyhounds aren't too shabby either.

Typically they'll play a film or some off-beat tv show on the big back wall, or host an art show. When there has been music, it hasn't been the sort that makes you want to get up and dance, but that is not to say it wasn't good.

All in all, if my friends and I need a place to meet up to grab some tasty drinks, this spot is indeed prime.

A pretty neat place. It's dainty, and the staff are all super cool. No egos here. Most of the people here are really down to earth too. Sure, you'll  get an occasional schmuck, but for the most part everyone is pretty nice.

Cute patio outside, and  nice wood stump tables.

Space is very limited, so it never gets shoulder to shoulder.

A great find!

I went on a bar crawl w/ some friends. This was the first stop, then we hit Father's office, then downtown Fullerton.

It's a small bar. There's a jukebox playing. It's very chill. Cool place to catch up w/ friends.

The lights are fairly bright and the seating is not as comfortable.

I prefer 4100 or Griffin in LA.

The only reason it loses a star is because after two hours we were ready to leave.  To get five stars I have to want to stay 'til close.

Oh, Mandrake, I hope to some day update this review with an extra star. You're so conveniently located to me and have the right mix of people, usually with good music playing and an obscure film that I happen to have seen being projected (yay for my ego)... but I always feel hesitant to introduce you to new friends. Your bartenders have on quite a few occasions given off bad vibes to pals via snotty looks, questionable tabs and simple silence. And it's not like they weren't wearing the right plaid shirt or ruffled hair-do. (I kid, I kid.)

Basically you're awesome to me but only A-OK to others, and I speak for the nameless in this instance. Still, I can't wait for the weather to heat up so I can hang out in the patio some more. Just please be nice.

what a fun, fabulous find :)

this cute little dive bar has some amazing cocktails, plenty of seating, and a very chill & mellow vibe to it. the music is eclectic (and controlled by some dude on his ipod) but overall, i'd HIGHLY recommend this bar for a fun, relaxing night out with friends.

SPACE- there are three different areas. the first area is the bar area, with comfy seats and log tables all across the wall. could probably fit about 30-40 people comfortably here. then there is a separate room with tables that seat prob 4-6 and a huge projector screen. then finally there is the outdoor patio that can fit about 30-40 more and is covered w/ low hanging foliage and lots of benches.  the bathrooms are fairly clean, there's even a little bench in the girls' bathroom to put my purse down.

DRINKS - the delicious drinks are reasonably priced and made exceptionally strong. get one. one day, i plan to run down their whole menu.
(1) moscow mule tastes like fresh ginger and is pretty much one of the best drinks i've had in a while. so good, so clean and neat and i would kill for one right now. i think i had 3 of these. it was a good night.
(2) french 75 is champagne, gin and i think lemonade or lemon juice. so so good, comes in a martini glass with a sugar lined rim. very strong despite how sweet it was.
(3) mojito. run of the mill but  fresh mint and made according to your personal preference. i had two of these because they were so good and so damn strong.

SERVICE - the bar gets really crowded and so service is really slow. we were there on a friday night and by about 11pm, there was a serious wait if you wanted to get a drink. when we tried to leave at 1am, it was a HASSLE closing out our tabs. i blame this on the combination of not enough staff, a small bar and way too many people drinking their way too delicious drinks.

my favorite part of this place is the matches -- why is that hand gripping the 'd' on the word mandrake?

next time, i'm ordering food. they ran out of the honey/manchego cheese and i was one sad & hungry puppy.

FYI: fairly hard to find. on la cienega with no real visible signage. keep your eyes peeled!

we went to the mandrake for the first time the other night because a friend of ours was having an art show. we absolutely enjoyed every bit of the art aspect of the night.
that being said, what an annoying place.
super pretentious crowd and the bartenders were beyond unfriendly, they were downright rude. they were assholes to my wife because she wanted to pay for a drink with a credit card... and she even tipped them $4.00 and they were STILL assholes. so lame.
i'll never go back.
it's really too bad because i think this place is such a good idea...

My friend who works in the LA Art scene described The Mandrake perfectly --

"I'll go there if there is an after-party following an art show, but it's not good for much else."

This pretty well sums up my time at the Mandrake.  A friend had an impromptu birthday party here this weekend and we went not knowing what to expect.

If you ever wondered where hipsters over 35 go to drink, the Mandrake is your answer.  The seating near the bar is hard wooden benches, and you have to bend over just to speak with one of your friends.  There is a good patio for smokers, but you're pretty much expected to stand around and marvel at how low-key this place is, and ironically, how much effort they put into making it look that way.  Haute dive bar, if you will.

A DJ was spinning nameless 80s indie-rock and the oh-so charming generic B&W 70s French art film was being projected onto the wall as visual accompaniment.   The mojitos were weak, and you can find cheaper and stronger drinks nearby.

came here about a month ago with a few friends for a body painting exhibit.  wasn't all too crowded (compared to what i was expecting) and all of the people there were really awesome.

had a few beers, then left to go get something to eat, then to some other bar, then back because this place was way cooler.  when we came back i noticed that the bartender was travis from piebald (!) which made the 15 year old in me super star struck.  talked to him for a bit about how nerdy i was for his band way back when -- super rad dude.

the music was awesome, the clientele were really cool, the drinks weren't all too expensive, and the layout was great.  if i ever find myself in culver city again i'll definitely be stopping by.

Yep, I am busting out the 5 stars for The Mandrake Bar.

Even though it's totally a liquor-based bar and I'm a beer/wine sort of girl, I loved the Mandrake.

Even though I could hardly drink my "Rose's Garden," a cucumber-based martini because it was so dang strong, I loved the Mandrake!

I don't know if it was the tree trunk tables, the hipper-than-thou bartender, or the goofy, worst-of-the-90s music, but I have to say, I am glad to have finally visited the Mandrake and feel confident of many return visits.

it's too pricey to be a dive, and hello, their little bar menu offers prosciutto and melon [which looked good, by the way (the bar menu-- I saw no one eating)-- and offered a bowl of goldfish (presumably the snack cracker) for $2].  Not a dive.  But it is a place for the artsy-fartsy to lounge about, and a place for boring squares such as myself to enjoy their company.

I am officially taking all upcoming out-of-town visitors here, to demonstrate how hip I am, despite getting progressively less cool since college.

This is still one of the best bars in town if you just want a drink and get here early.  Perfect for hitting before hitting up the art galleries in Culver City on a Saturday night before openings.  Don't expect much, and bartenders can be slow if it gets busy due to some serious design flaws at the bar, but still, what do you want in a town where trendy spots like MyHouse rule the day?  Love the patio and the art scenesters (and wannabe art scenesters, too).

No way,  not never.

Holy Christ. This place is run so terribly I would suggest getting a 12 pack of Mickey's Hand grenades and sitting on your front porch.

we went to a party there last night. It was hot. This bar is in the middle of nowhere in Culver Hell. Four people behind the bar and we still waited 20 minutes for a drink. Mint Julep, I don't think so, that's a mojito with whiskey.  the set up made little sense to me. open areas that you cant dance in, an outdoor patio that was somehow hotter than the interior and uncomfortable seating.
Here is where the shit hits the fan. We were obviously a walking carnival of shame, we asked the bouncer to call us a cab and he refused. The bartender/ manager basically stated that it wasn't his responsibility. Are you f'n DAFT? Of course it is. You should have a cab number handy.

After bartendiing for many years in many places, this bar was the most unorganized one. each drink took so long to make. Vodka on the rocks? glass, ice, vodka. Negative. Its a glass, then to the other side of the bar for ice, then back for vodka, and then you forgot to charge me. Oh well.

courtesy factor: The Clientele were actually pretty nice and cool indeed. The bar staff needs to know how to set up a bar, bar tend, make decent strong drinks and be a it less worried about form and more about function.
