Very clean and open mall with a lit of doors and the main anchor stores still open. 4 stars because the mall opens at 10am but a lot of the stores don't open until 11am. Minor inconvenience as e came at 1045am so we grabbed a seat on a massage chair and got a massage. Couple food court areas were closed for good, but the main store area seemed to have all the stores still open.

This place is nothing but a shell of what I'm assuming used to be its former self. The only thing it's really good for any more is doing a power walk in a temperature controlled environment.
On a casual stroll through the mall, you encounter store after store of no action and total darkness. Last count I got about 25 closed stores. It's really kind of sad.
What you encounter here is likely what's happening with most malls in the country now. It's a gradual deterioration that ultimately ends in the entire facility closing.
The outside is a very strong indicator about what's happening inside as there are broken curbs and weeds growing up through the parking lot which is indicative of absolutely zero maintenance. They probably figure it's not even worth the money, as it's only going to be a matter of time until it no longer exists. Very sad indeed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julia P.Newmarket, NH063Jun 27, 2023
I've been going here for years and it has certainly lost a lot of its charm. Half of the mall is closed year round and few stores actually remain. The mall is usually clean, however the women's restrooms are not very nice. NONE of the stalls lock and it's often lacking soap. I recommend using the family restroom if you want privacy. The employees are nice and friendly, security is often present, and all employees are willing to help. PLEASE fix the restrooms.

Trying to eat my lunch when a dog came over and took a pee right on the floor

What makes this mall for me is the PetWants dog (cat) food kiosk. Small batch dog food that my dog loves. I can also order it online with free delivery. It's a locally owned business. They have all natural treats and chews. Natural bug spray and balms that work for humans and pets. They also have cat food and treats. No one gets left out!! Stop by and bring your dog. You won't be disappointed

Clean, organized and it's close to downtown Portsmouth?
My kind of place and I actually like it more than most of the huge malls around the nation.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 212374533Nov 9, 2015
This mall has sadly gone down hill over the years. I remember as a kid, this was the place to go, it had cool stores, a music store and even an arcade. Now its boring, has the same tired old stores (Macy's, JC Penney, Sears, American Eagle, Hollister, Bath and Body Works, Men's Wearhouse, etc.).
The food court is decent, but nothing like it used to be. There's a play area for kids at one end of the mall, which I guess is nice if you have kids, but it gets pretty loud when there's a bunch of kids in there. Then you have the screeching kids who are putting up a fight and throwing tantrums because they don't want to leave. A mall is not a play ground, take them to a park, let them get some fresh air!
If you're looking for unique stores, don't stop here, keep going, drive downtown Portsmouth and spend your money at local shops!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Amelia L.Boston, MA12863721480Apr 7, 2018
This mall is on the smaller side, nothing like in the cities but there's definitely something unique about this mall. Since it's in the middle of nowhere I was able to find awesome sales and clothes in my size unlike when I go shopping in a mall in the city. I stopped by H&M and so stoked that I was able to find last minute deals to my trip to Vermont. I was able to get a $10 jacket in my size and a cute jump suit for $5. They actually were pretty well organized too.

Coming from California - this mall seems limited however - it has all of your major stores including Sears, Victoria Secret, Bath & Body Works, Ann Taylor Loft, Gap, etc. The food court is evolving - thank goodness they have a Dunkin Donuts!
WARNING: If you're meeting someone in Macy's, find out which one because there are 2 or 3 different stores.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Devin B.Amesbury, MA1363Oct 8, 2018
There is a decent selection of stores you can go to, and the place is usually very clean. The people are ignorant per usual basing on the town that it is in, the food court is a joke I mean I think since they have a Buffalo Wild Wings here they don't need to have many places for food in the food court but chicken isn't everyone's taste. Other than the food court the mall is decent.
