The Loop is a fairly new concept by 24 Hour Fitness (also branded as Fit Lite in some locations) which was born from a desire to get a complete workout in 30 or so minutes.  The space itself looks as though used to be a bank so there are a lot of windows, but since it's Mill Valley you don't really feel like you're on display like a lot of the bigger downtown 24 Hour Fitness gyms.  You start out with a 2-5 minute warmup on one of 5 or so cardio machines.  Then there are 25 stations each with either a weighted machine, a step climber or a mat exercise.  The music pauses and beeps every minute so you know when to change stations.

The gym was, to my surprise, fairly empty at 6:30, the exception being the cardio equipment which it seems that some people just kind of hang out on.  It was clean, smelled good and the music was only terrible, not ear witheringly bone crushingly god awful like at most gyms.

The employee working at the time was nice, helpful and nonjudgmental as he helped me through the circuit.  He gently corrected others he noticed doing exercises wrong but otherwise stayed out of people's way.

As for payment, you're going to pay less if you pay upfront for a longer period of time.  A year prepaid for that and all 24 Hour gyms cost me $200 but of course that was "a special deal that ends today"!

Their hours are 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM weekdays, (Saturday 8-5 and Sunday 10-2)  they have a few lockers, towel service, and a changing room as well as someone selling seated massages in the back.
There's also a mat area for cool down complete with a bosu, balls, medicine balls, resistance bands, a jump rope, etc.
