The Lofts at Garfield
1 review for The Lofts at Garfield
I lived here for a year and half and I loved it. The management company is a bit scattered, and the on-site landlord isn't much better, but they did respond to any problems in a timely manner.
The building is 5 stories and has a variety of loft floor plans. We had a one bedroom soft-loft. There was a half wall dividing the living room and bedroom but it didnt go all the way up to the 15 foot ceiling. Our kitchen was on the small side and we had no dining room, but the living room and bedroom were quite large.
We rarely heard our neighbors and the hallways were really quiet. I think most of the tenants were young professionals with a few older college students.
There is a laundry room on each floor, storage in the basement, and a designated lot behind the building with a garage door type clicker to open the gate. Every loft has central air and electric heat. There was also a rooftop deck, where we often enjoyed a few drinks, and had a great view of the fireworks and the Thanksgiving Parade.
Our rent was $800 and worth every penny. We loved the neighborhood and were able to walk everywhere. If I ever move back to Detroit, I would consider living there again.
