The food truly gets 4.5 stars, but the service was about a two. The waitress was nice, but it took her a really long time to retrieve our bill and our drinks. At first, I thought the prices were expensive, but then we received our food and the portions were huge! I ordered the lobster pizza, which was an eight-piece white pizza with huge chunks of lobster and lots of basil. Being a shellfish lover, I was in heaven. I had to bring half of it home and I regretted that my husband would be eating it, because I wanted the pizza all to myself.
Again, the service was kind of slow, but this was a delicious end to the day in Marshfield, Mass. -

Jim M. summed it up best; The Lobster Tale is no longer.
I've had a mighty good cup of lobster bisque here years ago, but I haven't been in many years due to the overall inconsistency of the food, matched with the ever-increasing prices here.
Still, a bit of a sad day for The Lobster Tale. Fingers crossed for a cool new restaurant in its place... -

I've been there a number of times with my family and have always had a good dining experience. Very friendly staff and good food with generous portions.
