We had a great meal here! Oddly, none of us had lobster or the crab cake that was the feature of some Bobby Flay Throwdown thing.

We were dining with a tired 2 1/2 year old & with all the outside seating, this place offered the kind of flexibility we needed. (That and an iPhone with Loony Tunes downloads!)

We had been eating out for a few days & were *dying* for a few crisp vegetables. We were delighted to see not only corn on the cob (which was so fresh, crisp & sweet that I ate 2 ears), but also steamed asparagus.

We all had different types of chowders--all great. The fried seafood also got rave reviews.

We had a great meal & then walked across the footbridge to have ice cream. We were here on a gray day just before the start of official tourist season, so it was not at all crowded. In all, a great experience!

Lobster Dock has *hot* lobster rolls!  Which you should definitely try if you have traveled to Maine just to eat lobster at every meal, like me.  The warm variation differs from the cold type in that the meat is warm and instead of mayo, the lobster is tossed in melted butter.

This might be the best lobster roll I have ever had-- the lobster was very tender, but consisted of more claw meat, which I find is almost always more tender than the meat found in a lobster's ass, or "tail"  They also have the cold variety, but I suggest trying the hot style at least once, just so you know.

Price was competitive with other lobster joints in the area (15-ish), sort of crowded along the harbor in boothbay, but the lobster dock is a good excuse to walk across the foot-bridge.

Staff seemed to consist mainly of kids, but they were friendly and the outdoor condiment dispensers were reassuringly clean.

My wife and I had the best lobster roll ever at the Lobster Dock. They use the younger lobster with softer shells, so the meat is different. Mitch Weiss also makes the best crab cakes. The NE clam chowder is excellent, and not so thick that a fork will stick up in it. Many feel that the thicker the better for chowder, but for me it's the flavor, buttery, creamy with a lot of clams. He didn't win the crab cake cook off with Bobby Flay for nothing!!

The restaurant is not fancy, but the food is great.

Outdoor seating, great views, and above average food. Very kid friendly, polite service.  My only complaint is that the prices are very high, considering you are in Maine.  Typical shore dinner in Maine is $21; here it's almost $34.  Overall, a great place for lobster and beer, but be willing to pay for it!

Quintessential Maine lobster pound. On the water, picturesque setting. Owners use local and high quality. No expense is spared. Excellent wine. Best lobster roll I've had. Cannot wait to go back. My friends and I LOVED this place!!!

Touristy, sure, but so is all of Boothbay, right? Family loves to go here in the summer to get lobsters out on the back patio area while the sun goes down.

Great lobster cakes and a great view of the harbor while eating. I guess Bobby Flay was there a year ago for one of his "throwdowns" and they still advertise that fact. Good prices and a great non-seafood selection of eats in case someone doesn't like seafood. (can't imagine why they would be in Boothbay if they didn't) I get the whole touristy vibe here, some may like it, some may not.
