ring ring, yes, hello? Living Room lounge? I am moving in. Please have my room ready. Thanks.
Went here with a fellow yelper for the VENUS 2010 ~Just BE: Soul Revival~ event. The event itself was a little underwhelming...one of their people came through the crowd during a poetry reading and 'shhhhushed' everyone. Totally tacky and uncalled for since the place is about 10, 000 square feet, it is an entire half of a floor of an old factory.
You want 300 people to come to an event and act like it is church? It is Saturday night, there is a bar, people are not going to be quiet. The poet reading should have learned to speak louder than a 12 year old and she might have been heard....
The vendors were very nice and high quality, no cutsy crafty stuff. Professional, fine art pieces. There was a painting I was interested in but I guess it wasn't for sale, no price=sad face. The planners could have utilized the courtyard space for a DJ but I guess they didn't know it would be as warm out....lots of people hanging outside because it was beautiful and the acts were kind-of boring. Just when you started getting into an artist, they were done performing. Less sometimes equals more. Less acts of better quality would have made this event more enjoyable!
Back to the venue...I understand they have live jazz sessions here at least once a week. Glad to have a new place to go to in Pilsen. Still love my old places but they are getting full of the same pretension that invaded Wicker Park 10 years ago!
You will see my face again...Listed in: Please read and use postitive…

Hello Yelpers!! I went to a great new spot last night, Living Room Lounge. The featured artist, a talented, beautiful queen named Cherisse. Her music and voice will give Jill Scott and Floetry a run for their money. Her spirit and energy is intoxicating. The vibe is laid back and for true music lovers.
I also enjoyed the handsome brother Precise. His music had a nice beat that made you want to move and grind your hips ladies. His lyrics are tight. I have to follow this talent.
It is an ideal date spot or just enjoying some music and drinks with the girls.
This is truly for grown folks who are in touch with themselves, our community and love.
I highly recommend the Living Room Lounge and I wish the owner, a talent musician, music lover and a positive man giving back to the community much success.
Support the Living Room Lounge, we must start supporting and encouraging each other. -

Omg, i have been waiting for a place like this !
A spot to chill with good company and good, reasonably priced drinks this is it.
I got a chance to meet the owner Mr. Jones he is very charming and is fulling a void for the grown and sexy to chill.
The Living Room was more than I hope its warm and sensual cozy an aphrodisiac for your senses ! Its like a new york styled loft and softly light and even a plush living room couch beautifully decorated . The night I went a songstress of the name Cherise preformed she had a strong stage presence and a talented band as well she did a wonderful job during one hour and half set. So all in I will be back to enjoy this well needed addition for the grown and sexy ! -

I was happy to attend this Joint with anothe Yelper Elite for an Event. This loft is HOT!!! I loved it when I first attended for a Jazz Set. The place was lit with beautiful Candles. The Art Work, The sofa's.. Everything, PERFECT!! The bartended at this event was super nice. I did take off a star because the owners didn't have it cool enough in here this time around. They should know how women feel about their hair! HAHA!! .. I will certainly go back again, especially when the temps ok enough for me to let my hair down. Certainly at another Jazz Set!

When first arriving at this place it seemed fishy! i thought someone had me Punk'd. I think that there is alot of outside decorating that is needed. After I got up the courage to go inside I was very surprisesd at the seen. it was a great place. In its first stage things seem to be going well. And then the music started and the party continued to pack them selves in and I begin to have A Great time!!!! Therefore, the moral is Don't judge a book by its cover, If I would have left this place Like I was preparing to, I would have missed a spectacular SHOW!!!

Came here last Friday night for a live jazz set. AWE. SOME. This venue is so sexy. Brick interior, muted lighting. Very intimate. The event I attended had sofa seating and small table seating. Wish I had been early enough to grab a sofa spot. There was a stage setup - it was not elevated but floor level which added to the intimacy of the event. The artists were amazing - the heart they put into their performance was something you expect to see from a world renowned artist. Very well done. I have no complaints. There did not appear to be a valet - it was all street parking. Definitely a date nite spot but also a girl's night out spot. I'm on their email list now - I can't wait for another reason to get back here!

I attended the Friday night "Evening Sessions" that included artwork and performances by the talented JustFlo, Uneq'ka and others. It was an amazing and inspiring experience from beginning to end. The venue is unbelievable to see. Plus, my friends and I could enjoy the fabulous, upbeat music in this beautiful, comfortable venue and know that we were also supporting a great cause. A portion of the proceeds from the Friday night event are donated to the Englewood Multicultural Center Digital Inclusion project. Really - this is a place that you don't want to miss for art and music.
