Oh WOW! I was referred to Lash bar by a friend I made on New Years. I was a little nervous about having eyelash extensions placed on but she couldn't have been nicer and all the reviews are correct, she is AMAZING! I walked out of there with bright, flirty lashes that accentuates your eyes beautifully. It looks very natural, very comfortable. I am HOOKED and cant wait for my next visit! HIGHLY recommend!

Never again. Will I reveal my secrets - to anyone.
I've been going to the Lash Bar for about 2 years now. It all began with me wanting to buy Shu Uemura lashes through third-company online in hopes of getting a better deal, so I googled "fake lashes", and "eye-lash extensions" came up. Then I clicked on this link(it was actually yelp!) that showed me reviews of this supposedly fabulous place to get eyelash extensions in San Francisco. Fabulous? Bull-shit. I paid over 300 dollars for thick, clumped glue stuck on my lashes. I didn't know any better and thought that all eyelash extensions were supposed to be like that. For the next two weeks, my eyes hurt constantly and often woke up to dirt residue on the edge of my eyes. So at this point, I was pissed, and I knew that I would never return to receive eyelash extensions again.
However, after awhile, my lashes (real & fake ones) were falling off, and I knew only one remedy to fix it - get eyelash extensions again.
This time, I spent over 2 hours (yelping) places that did eyelash extensions - and provided pictures of before & after. Because this time, if my eyes gets ruined again, I vowed to sue all cosmeticians who were licensed to do eyelash extensions and send them back to school.
Luckily, I chose the Lash Bar. On the day of the appointment, I walked into a building which the "place" was supposed to be located. Just when I thought I was lost, I saw a small sign reading "The Lash Bar" handing on the door of a small room. It wasn't later till I realized that "The Lash Bar" isn't a salon, but a beautifully decorated facial room owned and operated by only one person - Kristin.
Immediately after introducing myself to Kristin, I asked her (pointing to my almost-gone lashes) if eyelash extensions were supposed to do this to clients. She gasped at my lashes and told me no, while promising that she would do her best to fix them. Little did I know, Kristin transformed my eyes in less than two hours. She even gives you a free eye facial while you get lashes done too! I was so happy with my results that I paid Kristin $100 with tips on top of the $200 bill that day. (A little radical? Not at all, remember how I paid $300 for crappy lashes?)
For all yelpers, here's a list of suggestions that can help you keep your amazing lashes!
-Do not touches your newly crafted lashes with any type of moisture for the next 24 hours, or else they won't last as long
-Never wash your eyes with cleansing oil, it will mess up the lashes; I would know, as a Shu Uemura cleansing oil lover, I now only use the cleansing oil on the bottom half of my face.
Needless to say, I never stopped going back to the Lash Bar - for other things too.
For all the ladies who suffer pain from waxing - welcome to the Lash Bar, and I would like you to meet Kristin.
Kristin uses a method of waxing that other stingy, cheap esthetician do not use - by applying high quality oil on the waxing area before waxing, and of course, using the top-quality wax. She is incredibly quick with the waxing, and would get you in-and-out within minutes.
I hope this review helped you gain an unparalleled insight in the eyelash extension industry; and please know that there are horrible estheticians that creates a bad image for other well-established, able estheticians like Kristin.
For now, I just hope that none of my friends will find this page - and accuse me of telling my secrets to all yelpers before them. -

Just had my lashes done w/ Loretta today. She did an awesome job! Love them! I've been wanting to get lashes done for a long time now and it was so worth it. Definitely will be going regularly to get them filled in. Yay!

I really love the lash extensions from Kristin.
A few years ago I had gotten extensions for the first time at a place in San Francisco. My lashes ended up looking so wild and unruly that I thought - never again.
Then vanity got the best of me and I found the Lash Bar on Yelp. Kristin did my lashes in early December, right before my trip to Europe, and they turned out GREAT. I even abandoned eyeliner! So today I went back for a maintenance appointment. I'm definitely a customer for life! -

I almost don't want to post about this place because it's such a little beauty secret of mine. But alas, Kristin, the licensed esthetician and certified XtremeLashes guru who runs this place has been making me look fabulous for over a year, so I should probably give her credit where it's due. Kristin specializes in lash extensions (among other things), which are different from false eyelashes in that they are individually glued to each of your eyelashes and stay put for WEEKS! (Yes, you can get them wet.)
I haven't had to wear mascara for a loooooong time, and sometimes I can get away with no eye makeup. Your eyes just look more *awake* which is wonderful. Waking up every morning looking awesome makes you feel so good. Thanks, Kristin! -

I went for see Kristin for the first time yesterday but not for eyelash extensions (though I plan to try them someday) but for a wax instead. Kristin is super FAST and great. My wax wasn't bad at all. It didn't hurt as much as it usually does when i've gotten waxed before. She usually a special cream instead of baby powder before she waxes you. Her wax also smells yummy. She made me feel at ease since it was my first time seeing her and gave me alot of information about my skin and what I can do to make it better!
Her prices are decent as well! I am a fan! -

The best way I can sum up my experience is with one word- phenomenal. Kristin is very professional, very skilled and very informative. My whole experience was easy and stress free. Easy parking, easy commute, easy finding her studio.

Holy Lashes! Talk about a wonderful perk to have fluttering, natural, beautiful long lashes. I don't need any makeup because they just make my eyes pop! I considered changing my user name to disguise myself so others don't know my secret. Kristin is gentle, professional, and does amazing work. I've had others do lashes on me with terrible results, and not to mention painful.
I thought I was only going to keep these lashes through special occasions, but I have to say that I appreciate the time that I don't have to spend getting gussied up.
Go get yourself some lashes...well worth the $$. -

The esthetician who used to do my lashes really spoiled me for the rest of 'em. Seriously, one of my biggest qualms about moving to the Bay Area was that I would never find someone else to do my lashes the way she did.
And for awhile, I didn't. All the ones I read about were estheticians who just happened to do lashes on the side or recently learned how to do it. Which is nice and all--- but that wasn't gonna cut it for me. By the way, ladies, when eyelash extensions are done right, they shouldn't hurt, they shouldn't be uncomfortable whatsoever, they shouldn't clump, and they shouldn't fall out...Basically, they should be nothing but gorgeous! Which is exactly what Kristin delivered. I love her work! My lashes are now fuller and longer and they have the right alignment like natural lashes.
Best of all, her prices are very fair! Could you find cheaper?Maybe. Could you find someone better? NO. This woman is the real deal! -

After seeing eyelash extensions on someone, I was on the quest to find someone who could put eyelash extensions. I found Kristin on yelp. Thanks Yelpers!!! It's been four months of eyelash extension for me so far. I love them. Kristin is very easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable, and then wham-o..in 45 minutes you have fabulous lashes. It's so natural looking and NOT mac'd on like the gals at the mac store.

I had been getting lash extensions elsewhere for about 4 months or so, but wasn't really happy after the last few refills were more painful than necessary. Searched on yelp and found the Lash Bar and Kristin.
Went to Kristin. Turns out some of the old extensions were glued onto my SKIN (a no-no), which caused much of the discomfort and itching I was experiencing. I gave Kristin the go-ahead to remove them all and start over with a new set.
It took her a good hour to remove them, through no fault of Kristin's. My old extensions were clumped together, and the ones glued to my skin took forever to get off even after using copius amounts of adhesive remover. Nevertheless, she got them all off, and put a new set on.
The new set feels amazing. Much lighter, much more natural looking, and most importantly, they don't bother me. No more itching, burning, discomfort, etc.
3 weeks later, I returned for a refill, and Kristin finished in about 30 minutes. Love it. Painless, quick, totally worth it. -

Kristin is great. My lash extensions look fantastic and last for a long time between fills. I have never had clumpies or glue issues and every morning I wake up looking refreshed.
She also does waxing, and she's good at that too...fast, efficient and virtually pain-free. -

I just had a brazilian wax with Kristen, and she did a fabulous job. Maybe it was the pre-wax oil she used, or the type of wax, but it hurt less than when I've had it done elsewhere. Her "bedside manner" is comforting and I didn't feel awkward. Plus her pricing was more reasonable than at other places too; highly recommended!

Having long, lush lashes is addictive!! I did it first elsewhere (a shop in SF) in December for a holiday party, and they started falling out after a few days though the first two days it looked awesome. For my wedding I tried Kristin at Lash Bar, and after 3 weeks they were all still on. I went in last week for a touch up but didn't really need it. I wouldn't go anywhere else, at least her place is very clean and she is very sweet.

Kristin is the eyelash/eyebrow diva! Get your brows cleaned up, your lashes darkened and lengthened...all for less than $100 and the results last over over a month. Also, Kristin is fun to chat with and she is a total pro at what she does. Spend a little time on your lashes and brows and you'll look more awake, you'll spend less time putting on makeup (mascara becomes a thing of the past!) and you'll basically look presentable when you roll out of bed in the morning. Hooray!

Doesn't hurt. Looks natural and beautiful. If you take care of them they will look great. Mine lasted 2 months. Only drag is once they start falling out (may look a bit odd if they fall at different rates)

Kristin has a talent for beautifying lashes. Was recommended to her by a couple friends who see her for lashes and Brazilians. First I had an eyelash perm done by her ($65). That was really cool - makes your eyes pop and no eyelash curler necessary for a month. I've been dying to get lash extensions for a long time and finally decided to do it before my Hawaii vacation. Didn't want to deal with smearing mascara in all the humidity. After one month, I was surprised how well the lashes stayed on, even after swimming in the ocean. Some fell off and it's definitely time for a touch up after 3 or 4 weeks. It's 200 bucks initially, so definitely a splurge and something you might only want to do for special occasions. If you want to continue maintenance, it's only $60.

Kristin is the BEST! I have been going to her religiously for over a year now. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone who wants glamorous, beautiful lashes. I also use the Revitalash that she sells and recommend it for prolonging the life of your extensions. I am a hairstylist myself and get compliments on them all the time and have referred some of my own clients to her. I can't live without my lashes and wouldn't trust anyone else to these lashes! Kristin is the by far the best lash person in the area, I have been to salons in San Francisco and in Palo Alto for lashes. Kristin has been the only consistent lash person that gets it right. One fake lash to one of mine..Not 3 or 4 fake ones to my one. Kristin's lashes feel good and move like real lashes since she only gets one on one.
Her application is above all the others around and I would refer her just because she gets them on right, I hate to see other salons ruin peoples real lashes. Plus no burning eyes!!!, before at Spa Radiance in SF. my eyes would burn all the way home with tears. Kristin is fast too, no laying around for 2 - 3 hours, she is less than an hour with me and I like lots of LONG LASHES!! -

Eyelash extension is my new obsession.I went to see Kristin for the first time in July and Im just soooo happy and love my lashes now.I went on vacation after a week where I swam a lot and my new lashes amazingly stayed in place.I paid $200 for first visit and $60 for touch ups.My lashes look so natural,they dont clump up like they do at other cheap places.I dont have to put any mascara and i get a lot of compliments at work.So girls...if you are vain like me,go to Kristin and have your lash done.Im telling you its worth it.

I have had lashes for 4 years now, at many salons all over the Bay Area; Kristin is the person to have your lashes extended! No eye watering from the glue, never stuck together - lower & upper lashes when finished, she gets the lashes on your own lashes separately so they can have movement without pulling on the next lash and she is quick with lots of lashes applied. Now that I know how it should/could be - I never want to go anywhere else after going to Kristin. Very happy my last eyelash person from Spa Radiance S.F. moved away so I could find The Lash Bar!

I don't know what's taken me so long to write this review! I've been getting my lashes done by Kristen for about 2 years now! She's fabulous! My natural lashes are short and straight, she transforms them into beauties I cannot describe! They are long and full when she is done with me and so so natural looking! I look forward to getting them done. She is very professional and very good natured! Love her! My sister had them done by others before and it was not the same. Seemed like they glued on the falsies and not natural at all. Kristen's look natural and keep for weeks! I can go without a nail fill but never without my lashes! See you soon Kristen!
