Don't even bother going anywhere else. After moving from NYC to LA I began the arduous task of finding a new laser hair removal place. My previous experiences in NYC were so bad that I never followed through, stayed on schedule or finished treatments. However, with a newfound determination to be hair free I decided to do my LA research and what I found was the only laser hair removal machine which has never caused me pain/tears and the kindest most wonderful and considerate staff and owner. I am so thankful that I found this place and can't say enough good things. Also, their prices are super competitive which is just another bonus!
so, today was my first treatment but I have to say it was a very nice experience. The prices are really unbeatable and the tech Mary explained everything she was going to do SOOOO thoroughly.
I realize they say it is painless laser and I have never gotten any other laser treatment, but you do feel a little pinch, like you are getting your eyebrows plucked with a tweezer or something...so if you can handle that...youll be fine. Also they are very cautous and do a test patch to make sure you have no harmful side effects...something I definitely appreciated since I was going to laser my upper lip.
So far, I really enjoyed the experience. Rose, who sits at the front is there with her new puppy Laser and she is very sweet and easy to talk to.
The laser genie isnt a large "cooporate" office, its a smaller, family owned ( i believe) place that takes good care of the clients. If you are looking for a smaller laser center with unbeatable prices...its the place to go!
I went back for my second visit to the Laser Genie. I was equally as impressed as I was the first time. As a Registered Nurse myself, it is important to me to be treated with respect and to have another nurse (Mary) do such a thorough job. I had better results after my first time here than I did in 3 times at my last laser place! I am SO HAPPY with my results! I will be back next month ;)

Well this was the first time ever having my hair lased off and I must say it was a great experience. From the time I walk in I got first class service. Everything was explain to me thoroughly, and the tech was amazing. She was very caring with me knowing this was my 1st time, and reassured me every step of the way. She explain how the machine work and let me see that the machine is brand new and they always keep up with the latest tech and services. The room was super clean and comfortable. I must say the process did not hurt much either, only once in a while did I feel a couple of pin like pricks (sort of like tweezing your own hair) and that was it. Now 4 hrs later my face feel great and no side effects I love it. I most definitely recommend this place to anyone who need hair removal.
Mary is very good at explaining what she's doing or why she's doing it. Rose is very prompt at getting back to me when I email her for my appointments. They are also very accommodating for my busy schedule...they'll see me on a sunday! yay! It's a decent price for what you're getting. If you can afford to pay the packages in advance, do that - it's best choice because it's cheaper that way. I've gone three times (maybe four I lost track) and I can see a difference already. I can't wait to see the final results!!
One downside is the parking. It's a tiny lot and I usually can't find a spot during the week and have to look for metered street parking...BUT like I mentioned, I go on sundays now so I find parking easily, so don't go on my sundays!
All in all, I recommend Laser Genie. Go. Now.

I've been here a few times so far and had such a pleasant experience. The nurse is very informative and caring. The new machine that they use is awesome and not as painful as the old school ones some places still use. The sessions are comfortable, clean and easy. It is also easy and personable to make appointments or change as needed. Also you can't beat their prices! I will definitely come back for more in the future.
I have to say that I do not do anything without reading reviews, and the reviews on Yelp impressed me enough to try out The Laser Genie. I am glad I did.
I am not new to permanent hair removal; I had a few treatments done by a place in Beverly Hills that has since shut down; that place used a system that was very painful - it almost seemed like sadistic torture that left welts on the skin (that diminished after a couple days). My skin also had discolored (which disipated after a few days) after one or two of the treatments.
My experience with The Laser Genie's system was very different: virtually painless and much quicker than the other treatments I've had with the older laser machines. Rose was very pleasant, and Mary, who administered the laser treatment, was very nice and attentive. It has been a couple days since I had the treatment, and there is no skin discoloration, no marks or welts, and the skin looks great (and bare).
I would not hesitate to recommend The Laser Genie.
