My daughter & I ate 3 separate meals here after getting stranded in a blizzard & checked into the Historic Plaza Hotel for 2-days. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised with each meal. Some of the best Mexican food I've eaten in a very long time. We had the pork chili stew & chili rieno

After traveling all over this beautiful state. My Sister and I decided to make a stop here for Dinner.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful and has been restored fabulously.
I ordered the servers recommendation the New Mexico chicken alfredo. The pasta was made fresh, had a great garlic cream sauce mixed with your choice of red or green New Mexico chili. Our server suggested the red as it's more bold in flavor and he was correct. There's just enough heat from the red chili to coat the back of your tongue & overall it was Delicious.
My Sister had their blue corn enchiladas with greeb sauce and she ate every last bite.
We will be sure to be back here, the next time we're in Las Vegas.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sam K.Portland, OR78302337Apr 21, 2009
This is a solid restaurant located inside the Historic Plaza Hotel which itself is located right on the plaza in Las Vegas.
The food is more American than New Mexican, so if you're looking for "authentic" New Mexican food, this is not the place--I would suggest El Rialto instead.
But the Landmark has a good wine list and very good food. The setting is a little more on the formal side, but not enough to make anyone feel uncomfortable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Tiffany L.Jefferson, WI95519153Dec 23, 2010
Very enjoyable dinner. I had the pork loin with a tarragon sauce, amazing veggies and roasted garlic potatoes. Boyfriend had the pecan crusted trout with wild rice and veggies. Yum yum! Dinner servers were sweet and efficient. House wine is a pretty darn decent $18.00 bottle. Good stuff. After several days on the road eating diner food and fast food, this was very very welcomed.
Breakfast, while tasty, very tasty, service was slow and nonexistent. We both had the huevos rancheros and they were very very good. Massive portions. Not sure what was up between the night and day on service, short staffing could have been an issue, not sure. The food is really good though and dinner service certainly wowed us.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Valerie B.Aurora, CO14337Apr 14, 2014
Service was awful, food not much better.
Their sodas were flat, so opted for water instead, never received refills though. Went thirsty.
Waitress wasnt even busy, yet failed to return and check on us after food was brought out. Dishes piled up, we were forgotten about, after waiting almost an hour, had to flag her down and ask for the bill.
Spent about $100 for party of 4, $100 too much.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debbie M.Trenton, FL124Jul 14, 2010
Don't order a mixed drink. We stayed in the hotel and after a long hot day of driving we ordered drinks with dinner. My margarita was weak and the mix they use has a chemical taste that even the right amount of tequila wouldn't help. My husband's Maker's Mark and Coke was also weak and when he complained they brought him a double which was just twice as big but every bit as weak and charged us full price with tip automatically added! If you want a drink, they can't FU beer.
The enchiladas were good and the price of the food was fair so I'm giving it 3 stars overall.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kerry L.Littleton, CO325Mar 31, 2013
Sunday brunch... mediocre food, poor service. Kind of nice building though.

We stayed at the Plaza for a four day weekend getaway. The first morning there I had Huevos Rancheros with green chile. It was last meal good. It featured two blue corn tortillas, two eggs over easy, pinto beans, and hash browns. The meal kept me full for the entire afternoon until dinner.
I must admit that breakfast is the highlight of this restaurant and is why my score is so high.
For dinner I had a chicken taco plate. This featured three chicken tacos in hard shelled blue corn tortillas. The meal was like cardboard. Just edible.
The third night I had a veggie burger with green chili cheese fries. The veggie burger was a rice-veggie loaf kind of burger but was quite good actually. The fries were batter dipped and were covered in gooey cheese and green chili sauce. Over all the meal was essentially good bar food.
Overall the quality is uneven, but I will definitely be back for a stellar breakfast.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - David A.Amarillo, TX86406665May 26, 2008First to Review
Came here for lunch- they weren't busy yet it took forever to get our food. Servers were invisible when they weren't at our table, which was often, Green chile cheeseburger was tasty but nothing extraordinary. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here.
