The Knot is the basement bar between Town & Campus and the florist. It's a great spot for a beer on a weeknight between dinner time and about 10pm (when the place fills up with undergrads).
They run specials every night-- my favorite night is Monday, for the $2.50 pint of Sam Seasonal.
They have a decent menu, but get the mini grilled cheese sandwiches. They use an herb italian bread. Best grilled cheese I've ever had.
Oh, and don't sit too close to the back-- the restrooms sometimes smell if you're too close.
