Are you able to accommodate vegans? We have a large group wanting to dine with you but also have two vegans in the group and don't want them stuck with a plate of bland vegetables. Thanks so much!

Lasagne and homemade pasta were delicious. Genuine customer service! We loved the quaintness of the restaurant too.

Pasta was great, I like their meat sauce and creamy sauce was excellent as well. Service was great and restaurant/shop was cute.
Maybe little clean up on tables would be nice :)
But def would love to go back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 1606965Mar 21, 2024
This place is a cute, homespun eatery with a small Italian grocery. Apart from a handful of imported packaged items, the grocery part focuses on selling their own pasta. It's definitely worth a visit!
As their name advertises, their pasta definitely seems homemade. The noodles had a great texture that went beyond just cooking to the al dente point, and they held onto the sauce well. They also have a fun way of ordering their regular pasta dishes that makes the pasta seem like the star of the show: First, you choose your pasta type, then you choose your sauce. The prices vary based each pasta and sauce option, but the most expensive combination is only about $20. They also have specials that go beyond their normal options, like the fettuccine cacio e pepe that I had. The cacio e pepe sauce was, somehow, not super heavy, but it still had a good balance of flavor that made it worthwhile.
The pictures also don't do the plates justice. Though they look small, they are deceptively filling. (I'm guessing that, since they use paper plates, the heap of pasta flattens out more than it would in a rounded plate or bowl.)
I'd love to try their takeout pasta at some point, but if I'm in the area already, I'll probably just want to eat in. Their space is cozy and fun, and there's nice (seemingly COVID-era) outdoor seating that would be great on a good day. Plus, the staff was super nice and helpful while ordering.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1821488Mar 18, 20241 check-in
Good pasta! Lots of options. I went for the cheese ravioli with pesto and the pasta was very fresh and the pesto was delicious. Portions were a bit on the smaller side for what we paid for, but good quality for sure. The food came quickly.
There is both outdoor and indoor seating and it's pretty fast and casual but perfect for a quick but quality dinner in North Beach.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 463101270Feb 26, 2024
The pasta here is cooked fresh and the texture of the pasta is perfect! We got the Pappardelle with Pesto Sauce and I loved eating this type of pasta. The pasta was long and flat like wide ribbons. The pesto sauce tasted very light. The other dish we ordered is the Rigatoni with Bolognese Sauce and Meatballs. I definitely enjoyed the bolognese sauce more than the pesto sauce and I loved how we added meatballs to the dish. I recommend getting the bolognese sauce if it's your first time here.
We received our food fairly quick after ordering and there's plenty of outdoor seating which was lovely on a sunny sf day! You clean your own table after you're done eating, and the pasta is served in paper plates. I'd definitely would come back again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 30, 2024
This place is great if you're looking for fast fresh pasta. It's simple, walk-up counter order type of place. Seating inside and out. Really cute spot. If you are looking for a place to lounge and spend a long drawn out Italian dinner, this is NOT the place. However, if you want great fast pasta in a fun neighborhood with a chill atmosphere, then this is a MUST try. The pasta was soft, delicious and fresh and served on paper plates. You could taste the quality. The service was quick and authentic with Italian speaking staff. A little pricier than I anticipated, but the pasta was excellent. I recommend giving this place a try.

I knew we had to get Italian food while in Little Italy, and I came across The Italian Homemade Company. We went for a quick lunch: it's an order-at-the-counter kind of situation, and we got a table outside to enjoy our lunch. I ordered tagliatelle with pesto and my partner got tagliatelle with salsa parmigiano. The pasta tasted homemade and fresh, with a nice, al-dente bite to it; sauces were rich and my pesto was also very herbaceous. Solid pasta with decent portions, but a bit on the pricey side ($15 to $20). I don't blame anyone, given that things are just so expensive these days...overall, a simple, no-frills Italian restaurant with good food to boot!

It's very mid, the service is fast, you order first then sit. I got the pesto, bolognese and a lasagna also some guava gelato. Everything was alright nothing that said, "Wow this is 5 stars" no offense. It's a very simple spot and I get why it has business, the inside just felt like I was in a little market, it was cute.
Pesto 8/10
Bolognese 7/10
Meat lasagna 7/10
Guava gelato 5/19
Vanilla gelato 8/10
Overall I'll give this spot a 3 b/c there's really nothing special only that they have variety of pasta and sauces, not very flavorful though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 8, 2024
Comfort food in the heart of North Beach! The pastas are made fresh and you can customize by pasta type, sauce, and protein. We tried the tagliatelle with bolognese, which was incredibly flavorful and not too salty, and the ravioli with pesto which was cheesy and buttery, but the portion was pretty small. The staff were quick and helpful but would love to have a larger plate for the price.

Like everyone else here has said.. this place is seriously a 10/10. As small of a space as it is, there is still plenty of seating inside and outside. Service is quick and very efficient. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming! I recommend trying the Italian beer birra friuli, very light and pairs well with the pasta!
This place was so good I ordered takeout 2 days later! HahaHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
