I am a convert! I decided to cancel my regular gym membership around the same time I discovered this gym. I had been running on the treadmill for months and was not losing any weight. I found the gym on facebook and after trying out their boot camp one day I decided to sign up for their 21 day health challenge back in July. I saw and felt the difference from the very first day! Three months later, I have lost weight, inches off my waist and even went down a pant size! The trainers are friendly, knowledgeable and are available whenever you need any help or advice. Their boot camps are amazing. I have learned more from the boot camps in the past 3 months than from my 10 years at my local gym. Their members are also fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough.

There is not enough stars that I can give to this business. EVERYONE who works here is amazing and supportive of all the clients.
I work out with Remi 4 times a week and not only for my paid sessions. She is your trannier 24 hours a day I can honstey say that she is very dedicated to her clents. I can not thank her enough for pushing me and supporting me to getting into better shape. looking at her alone makes you wanna push yourself.
If you wanna workout somewhere and feel good loose weight and not worry about any one judging you this is the gym to join. They also have amazing boot camps during the week and sat morningss..1 Previous Review: Show all »

If you want to stagnate at your current weight, continue to use the elliptical for 25 minutes 3 times per week, and be an anonymous figure among the other frustrated self-loathers, this is not the place for you. If you're serious about getting in shape and maintaining your health, head to The Inner Athlete.
The Inner Athlete is the best gym I can imagine. It's a small neighborhood gym focused on fitness, not skinniness.
Every day boot camps are different, dynamic, and as hard as you want to make them for yourself. Alondra and the rest of the trainers are encouraging, dedicated, and will take you to the edge of your threshold. Most importantly, they are true professionals who are not only great personal but also group trainers. The workouts are fun and while I've never been one for fitness classes or personal training, I'll never go back to treadmilling up a sweat and chowing down a Luna bar again.
Since joining 4 months ago (I found them on Yelp) I have watched my body and attitude toward health change-- I've already lost 9% body fat and feel fantastic! -

I just went to The Inner Athlete's 2nd Annual Olympics.. And it was amazing..
Alondra did a great job putting it all together. We all had a great time and we were working extra hard trying to win the Gold.
Alondra and I both belong to a fitness co-op (Body-Mechanix). This is how I met Alondra, and I am really glad I got the opportunity... She is an amazing personal trainer. It was great to see her clients participating in all the events. They did amazing, as did She, Alondra is Super fast if you are gonna race her, you better have an engine, or you are going down. hahaha
I am a personal trainer as well, and tried to get my clients to participate, but they were too chicken I guess, as they all backed out at the last possible minute..
So I did some events for them. It really was a lot of fun, She has mastered how to make fitness, fun & competitive, for both men and women.

OMG...This place is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went there with a friend for the first time yesterday for Boot Camp and boy oh boy did they ROCK MY WORLD...and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The place was totally not what I expected when I went in because I have always been so used to the gym environment. It was different but I was totally up for spicing up my normal 6 day a week at 24hr fitness routine.
The place is way bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. There's a few cardio machines (treadmills, stairs, ellipticals and bikes) spread around. There's an area w/a few weight machines and lastly there's an open space for doing floor/standup exercises.
When we walked in we were greeted by Alondra's husband. Nice dude :) He gave us paper work to fill out and told us a little about the facility.
I loved the fact that there were all ages/all weights in there. I totally didn't feel intimidated as if I was the biggest beauty in the class :) The place also has a real family feel too it. Alondra and her husband owns the place and after meeting them you can truly tell they love what they do :)
Being that this was my first boot camp session I had an idea of what I thought was going to happen. BOY...was I wrong. It was totally not what I would call boot camp but it sure did work up a sweat in like 10 minutes. Also, every day varies so I'm pretty sure the boot camp I envisioned exists and soon to come. Alondra's husband (forgot his name) did the 6:45pm class and he was sooo sweet and encouraging. He kept saying good job Sandra and was so genuine. Though I was getting my work out/sweat on and out of breath 90% of the time and couldn't really smile or thank him for being encouraging I totally appreciated it :)
I'm definitely a fan and my friend and I decided we were going to go twice a week!!!!!!! -

The inner athlete is THE place to get in shape. I have done boot camp, Pilate's and personal training. You NEVER leave Alondra without getting an excellent workout.
What sets the inner athlete apart from other gyms is Alondra's expertise and knowledge. She will run a boot camp class with 8 people in it with 8 different fitness levels and be able to keep on eye on each person and modify for their own personal strengths and weaknesses. It's awesome! -

I have been going to the Inner-Athlete for only two months, and already I'm hooked. Before joining I was overwhelmed by the gym and unmotivated to exercise on my own. I was bored and tired of just running on the treadmill or just using the elliptical machine.
In the past two months I have NEVER been bored going to a Boot Camp session. Every workout is different and you are always challenged to try new things and work out harder then you have before. In less than two months my clothes already fit better and I feel better than ever.
Alondra knows how to push you to do your best without ever intimidating you or making you feel inadequate. She is an expert at what she does! I love working out at the Inner-Athlete and I know with their help I will be in the best shape of my life. -

Is your workout lacking in inspiration/fun/results?? You need to get yourself off the couch and into bootcamp. Alondra and her team offer morning sessions starting at 5:30am -- an ungodly hour, yes, but also a time when it's almost impossible to be busy with anything else!
I have been doing bootcamp for almost a year now and I am still challenged by the workouts -- and although I drag myself in there, I always leave feeling better and ready to take on the day. Her group workouts on Saturday mornings are as fun as they are challenging, with lots serious cardio. The groups are small, the mood is light, people are friendly and there is a good mix of people of varying athletic abilities.
The also offer evening bootcamps, personal training, group classes like step, kickboxing and yoga.
Try it, you won't be disappointed! -

Inner Athlete boot camps are great; that is, as pleasurable as exercise can be! I am a current member and I can say that I wasn't the biggest fan of exercise when I first started a few months ago. Each boot camp class is challenging and can seem as though they last forever, although only 45 minutes long. After a few classes and a little "icy-hot", positive results are obvious and you just want to go again and again, just to see how much more your body can change.
Alondra, the owner, is very knowledgeable in many areas of health and fitness; you will be amazed. Her classes seem to be tougher than the other trainers (maybe that's just me!) and she will push you to your limits; but when you finish each class, you'll feel like you've really made a difference in your body. To her credit, she listens to her clients and "sneakily" tailors her boot camps based on the clients attending each class. If you say that you hate running (like me), be prepared to run until you like it. If you complain about your biceps, you'll curl, press and push-up until your "guns" pop! If you "just make a simple comment that you would like flatter abs", be prepared to sit-up, crunch, twist and plank until you see flatness on the horizon. All the instructors and the others in the class are all very encouraging and help to keep you motivated even when you think you just can't do another crunch!
The boot camp schedule is convenient; if you're looking for early morning, there are boot camps at 5:30am. There are camps in the midday and if you're willing to come after a long work day, there are camps after work as well. Each boot camp is designed to challenge the super-fit veterans while also allowing for beginners to build up their endurance. There is a nutrition program available, yoga and zumba classes and personal training as well.
I recommend this boot camp to people who are in shape and want to be in better shape, people who are looking for a change in their workouts, or have exercise-ADD, or people who haven't exercised in years and wouldn't be comfortable in a larger gym setting. So far, I feel great and strong; I've lost 20 lbs, forcibly-gained abdominal definition lines and a "strained" appreciation for running. Oh yeah, and how can't forget the "guns"? BANG!! BANG!! -

If you want a fun workout, that's challenging regardless of fitness level, come to The Inner Athlete. Alondra accommodates people like myself (a professional musician with hours exactly the opposite of most people), and designs boot camp classes in a way which gives me a great workout, and does it with a smile! I always have fun at The Inner Athlete!

Alondra has been my personal trainer since July, 2008. She has taught me alot about fitness, nutrition and in the course of such, I've have learned alot about myself, my limitations and how to push beyond said limitations. The mind/body connection is undeniable in this context. As Alondra motivates and pushes you to achieve more than you thought you could, your mind adjusts accordingly, and that is so empowering and liberating. I've lost over 35 pounds and my body has definition....how cool is that? are these really my legs?........my experience with Alondra has been transformative.....my orientation towards exercising/fitness and associated pain is so different.....if I'm hurtin', it's workin', I'm learnin' and I'm happy. My commitment has even impacted my coworkers in a positive way....they've seen how I've transformed myself (with Alondra's guidance and counsel), how I've changed my eating habits....they're more aware of nutrition and fitness......family gatherings now include me bringing the vegetable and fruit salads....have I become a food/exercise Nazi?....nooo, but I've learned that life is full of trade offs....I can have the In n Out protein burger (no bread, no cheese, extra lettuce, tomatoes and sauce/spread on the side).........Alondra teaches the food is fuel...we need food to live not to live for food.....or better yet, if I don't eat it, I don't need to work it off
As a testament to Alondra's success, her studio has expanded...yet she still manages to retain the intimate nature of the studio.....the clients are a convivial group...we encourage one another and share in the pain and gain.
The boot camps are never boring....there's always a different venue for the Saturday sessions....hills, beaches, parks, stairs, etc.
Yoga is also offered....Maria is a neat instructor...always motivating and encouraging.
There are also nutritional meals already prepared for those of us who are time-challenged.
Inner Athlete attire is also offered, and after achieving some measure of success (and you will!), you'll find yourself wearing it with pride because you know what you've accomplished!
The bottom line is that this is more than just a business for Alondra...she is passionate, compassionate and committed.....your success is her success....she provides half of the equation....you're the other half. You deserve the best....check it out! Your world will change and get better as a result, and isn't that part of what life is about? -

This place is awesome!
Alondra is my trainer and she is firm and yet compassionate. I think your greatest strengths are interesting workouts and the ability to motivate you to do one more rep!
It's hard work but the results are worth it all! -

Alondra is as good as it gets! She knows her stuff. I'm not super disciplined when it comes to working out or my diet. I find that when I work it out with her on a regular basis (2x-3x per week), I'm more cognizant of my eating habits. I've worked out with personal trainers in the past for 1 hour sessions. I don't have a lot of time and I'm amazed at what she can do in 45 min. She has taught me that I'm much more capable than I had ever imagined. I've recommended several of my clients to her and the feedback has been stellar!
