OMG! Really O-M-G!

This is a whole lot of heaven and no where else can this be found!

It's an Inn, probably 30 rooms or so, but it's all ocean view, very modern, cozy, and simple rooms. Really gives you everything you want and need. Service is extraordinarily friendly. Decorations in the room and outside are amazing, great simple touches, they totally go with the less is more approach.

They have several fruit trees on the property which are exotic, good, and amazing to find! An asian pear tree, dark red apples, oranges, some exotic fruit I had no idea what it was.

DINNER was beyond exquisite.  Think Emeril Live, or cooking with Wolfgang, that's it! There's 10 tables in a great room open to the kitchen! AMAZING experience.  Better than a table in the kitchen. It's equivalent to having this award winnning chef coming over to you house and cooking in your kitchen / great room for a handful of friends.

The menu changes daily and they're only open on Friday, Sat, and Sun nights. TO DIE FOR!

I would rate this 3.5 stars if I could.

After reading the other reviews, maybe if we would have done the dinner it would have increased my rating. However after our experience with the rooms I was hesitant to spend that much on a dinner....

Upon arrival, room was really nice. All waterfront rooms, you can't really go wrong there. Jetted tub... check. Queen size beds are weird for the price you're paying ($285+/night) and the rooms are HUGE so king size beds would be an awesome update to the place. We decided to walk into town, get some wine, and do a little jet-tubbing before dinner in town.

The water that came out of the tub was brown... REALLY brown. Eck. So we let it run for awhile and it got semi-clearer and got over it, and got in. Pretty nice to sit in a jetted tub with windows overlooking water.

We had paid for a corner room. Unfortunately got some very heavy rain that night and had to listen to the loud tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap (etc.) tap tap tap tap of the drain on the side of the building. Ok, it was sort of therapeutic to fall asleep to but I would encourage the owners to sleep there on a rainy night - it's pretty loud.

Also unfortunately - there was a HUGE leak in our room, soaking the cushion of a window seat. The place just seemed... dunno... run down? From the brown water in the tub to the massive amount of water that leaked into our room that night... it wasn't the experience I expected.

Best part of the weekend was getting upgraded to a suite, kudos to the staff for that. However, brown water AGAIN in that room. Seems like something they need to get checked for the whole property....

We had a lovely time in the town, but won't be back to the Inn. Again, perhaps having dinner would have changed my review, but given the problems with our rooms I didn't feel comfortable spending $85/person plus $60/person for wine flights on dinner! We had lovely dinners at Prima Bistro & Cafe Langley in town btw.

I did not get a chance to stay at the Inn itself, so my review is only for the prefix 6 course dinner. However, we arrived a bit early and the Inn looks SO romantic and amazing.

The dinner deserves 10+ stars. It is that simple. The intimate seating allows the chef to explain his cooking philosophy and all of the night's dishes. Most of the food is procured from Whidbey Island and the chef tries very hard to get products from within 100 miles. He showcases seasonal ingredients and is playful with flavors but classic in execution. The meal is nearly flawless.
I won't go into explaining our whole meal since the menu changes so frequently it probably won't help you out. BUT, even after only one night of eating, my guess is that every evening at the Inn at Langley is a treat. We came to Whidbey solely to eat dinner here and were not disappointed AT ALL. This is a destination that outweighs the minor nuisance of ferry travel.

The Inn at Langley is one of the great places in Washington for a romantic or relaxing retreat.

The rooms are spacious yet simple with incredible views and just the right touches.   Nothing says romance like a warm fire or relax like  long soak in a deep jetted tubs as you ponder everything and nothing at all.

Langley itself is a charming little town that offers unique shoppiYou are right on the waterfront and in the center of "town"....really just a charming street of shops, restaurants and local color.

If this isn't enough,  the Inn offers a dinner dining experience that is out of this world; in a very intimate and pleasing setting, the Inn's world class chef entertains, educates and delights in an explosion of creativity made right before your eyes.  The chef's abiity to transform the finest local produce, meats, spices and spirits in an open kitchen that allows all of your senses to be entertained and amazed allows you to experience each course with a sense of wonder and delight not common or soon forgotten.

How many ways can you spell r-o-m-a-n-c-e? I can't say enough nice things about this place. I can be a somewhat picky traveler and The Inn at Langley far surpassed my expectations. Let's begin with the room: It was decorated simply, felt open and airy, had comfortable chairs and bed, stunning views, an eco-friendly log-burning fireplace, and a deep cozy jetted tub. My boyfriend and I kept exclaiming, "This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in!" between card games and tub soaks. The inclusive continental breakfast goes beyond it's name with fresh fruits, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, fresh-made coffee cakes, smoothies, yogurt, fresh squeezed OJ, and melt in your mouth quiche. But here's the icing on the quiche - the sweet helpful concierge called us at 3pm to point out the Orca flopping around in the water off our balcony. It hung out there for hours (we knick-named him Whaley). On the wildlife tip, we also watched a bald eagle swoop down onto the beach and casually shoo away the other birds much lower on the food chain. I would return in a heartbeat. Well worth the mulah.
